So based on the previous seasons of the show, Season 3 is likely to have a total of 25 half-hour episodes, including parts of multi-part episodes. How Santa Stole Christmas brings us to 19 if you split up Let’s Get Dangerous, meaning we have six half-hour episodes still coming. Based on the Season 3 character poster, the one untitled episode description we have from iTunes, and how the season has progressed so far, I am expecting something like the following, in no particular order except the last one:
A TaleSpin/The (Not) Wuzzles episode.
A second Bubba and Tootsie episode, presumably involving the Stone of What Was that was mentioned way back in Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks.
An episode involving Fethry, Quackfaster, and/or Faris Djinn, all of whom appeared on the Season 3 poster but have not yet appeared in episodes.
A fourth standalone episode, possibly involving any characters not involved in the preceding episode. This could also be a final Gizmoduck focused episode, presumably centering on Fenton dealing with Gandra’s status as an operative of F.O.W.L. Alternatively, this episode could be a part of the season/series finale, upping the intensity by adding an unprecedented third part to a DuckTales 2017 episode.
The season/series finale, in which the Duck family and its allies will square off against F.O.W.L. in a final confrontation for the fate of the world and possession of the (formerly) Missing Mysteries. The most significant of these will undoubtedly be the missing Papyrus of Binding, given the setup it got in The First Adventure. Huey will undoubtedly take the lead in bringing down Bradford and his brothers, and I expect that the Mysteries will either be taken into safe custody, once again scattered, or else rendered harmless in some way. The Buzzard Brothers will likely be incarcerated or suffer some other fate, but the rest of F.O.W.L. is harder to anticipate. Should the upcoming Darkwing Duck reboot prove to be a DuckTales spinoff, then I expect that a remnant of the organization will escape to set up shop in St. Canard. This remnant group will likely include Steelbeak and possibly even Gandra Dee, if the creators decide to have Fenton as a recurring guest in Darkwing 202? as he has been in DuckTales 2017. Of course, I expect at least some members of F.O.W.L. to escape in some way, as I doubt the finale is going to end on a “this is Scrooge and co.’s last adventure” note; it’s going to be the last adventure for the show, not the characters. The Duck family will undoubtedly be dealing with Glomgold, the Beagles, and the like for many years to come.
