Alistair Boorswan is a film director working at McDuck Pictures.
History[]
In "The Duck Knight Returns!", Boorswan needs more funds to shoot the grand finale of his film Darkwing: First Darkness, a psychological action thriller based on the Darkwing Duck tv show from years back. Scrooge reminds the director that he is over-budget and the McDuck Studios company is meant to make safe-for-work movies.
That is when Launchpad comes in with Jim Starling, ecstatic about the film. After Boorswan shows the trailer, Dewey tries to give ideas for the movie such as ninjas and aliens. Boorswan informs the group that Drake Mallard would be starring as Darkwing Duck instead of Starling causing a brawl in the office that gets Mallard's predecessor thrown out.
While Launchpad is away, Boorswan speaks against giving the finale's filming to Dewey.
As the filming is underway, Boorswan surprisingly is giving instructions to Jim Starling about the film's final fight, but Starling goes against the script and soon an intense fight breaks out between successor (Drake) and predecessor (Starling) over the starring role.
After an explosion from the set's electrical tower seemingly kills Starling, Boorswan puts the USB drive containing the filmed fight into a screen, but Dewey's dance replaces this. Thanks to this travesty, Scrooge decides to cancel Boorswan's Darkwing Duck film.
