Biography[]
Before Season 1[]
From child to criminal mastermind[]
Finch took young Bradford, who became very first Junior Woodchuck, with her on her globetrotting adventures, discovering the world's lost secrets as Bradford chronicled them for his grandmother.
It was Finch and Bradford who rediscovered (and kept secret) the long-lost Library of Alexandria, among encounters with the Fever Beast of Tibet and the Swiss Swarmy of Microbeesia.
However, for all Finch's attempts to impart her love of adventure to him, Bradford came to hate the strangeness and wonder that his grandmother exposed him to.
Later he claimed that he learned one thing from these "dangerous excursions" - the world is full of chaos and it's only getting worse. As such, he dedicated his life to containing that chaos and ridding the world of adventure once and for all.
As he matured, Bradford's hatred took on a pragmatic aspect, as he deemed that adventures disrupted global finances, and due to his own interest in wealth became even more determined to put an end to it. After gearing academic studies towards this aim, he eventually gained employment at S.H.U.S.H.[1] where he tried to advance his goal of ending the world's adventures through the organization's normal hierarchy.
However, his proposal that S.H.U.S.H. use world domination as a means of securing order and profit were laughingly dismissed by Director Ludwig Von Drake. Frustrated, Bradford then approached Black Heron, a criminal scientist whom S.H.U.S.H. had recently captured.
Bradford was tentatively planning to secretly start a new organization, the Organization for World Larceny (O.W.L.), and confided his plans to Black Heron. Black Heron joined forces with Bradford, but insisted the organization instead be called the Fiendish Organization for World Larceny (F.O.W.L.).
Though Bradford relented, he and Black Heron always clashed over the intended style and tone of their new organization, as Bradford adamantly did not consider himself a villain whereas Black Heron always embraced being one. Bradford arranged for Black Heron's escape, activating an alarm in order to make it appear as though Heron had escaped unaided, and the two soon set about establishing their organization.[2] Through some means, Bradford eventually had Von Drake captured and forced to aid in F.O.W.L.'s plans. As he furthered his anti-adventure agenda, Bradford soon identified one man as the greatest common factor in adventure around the world, and thus the greatest threat to his interests: Scrooge McDuck.
Having created a number of intellectually inferior clones of himself using the Stone of What Was, the most notable being Bentley and Buford Buzzard, Bradford set about attempting to gain influence over the the billionaire businessman.[3] Through some means, he arranged for himself and his two clones-who were regarded by others as his brothers-to attend the first ever McDuck Enterprises Christmas party at McDuck Manor and told Scrooge that they were not having fun.[4]
Seeking the Papyrus of Binding[]
Three decades after F.O.W.L. foundation Bradford and Black Heron went on a mission to locate and obtain the Papyrus of Binding - powerful artifact with abilities to change reality. The last owner of artifact was notorious pirate Yellow Beak, which ship mysteriously disappeared in waters of Bermuda Trapezoid. Bradford and Heron disguised as pilots of plane on which Scrooge, young Della Duck and young Donald Duck flew for the same artifact on S.H.U.S.H. director Bentina Beakley's assignment. During the flight Heron revealed herself to Scrooge, which unpleasantly surprised Bradford, and departed with his vulture companinion off the plane, levaing Scrooge and his kids in seemingly dreadful situation.
After landing on the Phantom Island, the last known location of the Papyrus, Bradford was furious at Heron's villanous showboating, because it could cost them the Papyrus.
And he wasn't wrong - in less than a minute Scrooge's plane landed near them thanks to Della's piloting skills. For some time both groups seeking the Papyrus on the island.
During that time Heron create a trap for Scrooge and his kids, the necessity of which was questioned by Bradford. But his doubts were in vain, since activating the trap by Donald showed to both groups the location of the Yellow Beak's ship - on the peak of the mountain. After that Heron suggested to follow Scrooge, wait when he finds the artifact and take it for themselves, with which Bradford agreed.
But next Heron's suggestion - to use the Papyrus against Scrooge, Della and Donald - Bradford dismissed with horror, convincing that artifact is chaos magnified and one misworded command to it cold end them both. Heron replied that it would be worth the risk, that is what world domination is about. Heron also asked Bradford to embrace his inner-villian, in response to this Bradford fiercely said that he is not a villain, showing his greatest personality trait - complete denial of his own nature.
Some time after Bradford climbed on the mountain, got on the Yellow Beak's ship and tried to take the Papyrus, detected by Ducks, from them quietly, but his intentions turned out to be crushed when Heron came with an uproar and villainously posturing.
This led Scrooge to recognize Bradford, because McDuck already saw him on the Christmas party many years ago, but Scrooge wasn't able to warn Beakley about vulture's affilation with F.O.W.L., becuse Heron immediately destroyed his phone.
Bradford was furious with Heron because her mindless villiany revealed his identity. He became even more angry, when Heron tryied to use the Papyrus twice (in first time - to kill Della and Donald unsuccessfully, in second time - to bring Yellow Beak's bones to life and fight Scrooge) and later lost it to wind, which threw the Papyrus on the ship's mast. Bradford also said that both Heron and Scrooge are reckless, nothing but troble.
Heron responded with displeasure that since he wants to take over the world so badly then he must to become a villain in order to do so. Immediately after Heron got involved in a fight against Della and Donald, while Bradford climbed up the mast for the artifact.
Scrooge followed the vulture and threatened him that he now had a new powerful enemy, that no villain can defeat. Bradford in response claimed that he is not a villain to Scrooge and usued the Papyrus to transport himself away, simultaneously erasing Scrooge and the kids' memories of his presence.
In aftermath of Bradford's departure from the island Heron soon had Donald and Della at her mercy despite their spunkiness, and demanded that Scrooge surrender the Papyrus. However, Scrooge acted to insure that she would not possess it, instructing the Papyrus to appear only when his rightful heir came to claim it. As it flew away in obedience to his instruction, Heron attempted to snatch it but failed, seemingly falling to her death in the process.[5]
Infiltrating McDuck Enterprises[]
After encounters with Scrooge on the Phantom Island Bradford realized how dangerous his opponent is. Therefore, in order to defeat Scrooge, Bradford decided to find out everything about McDuck, and always keep an eye on him closely. Fortunately, it quickly became possible to get closer to richest duck - having renewed his taste for adventure, and moreover gained a taste for adventure alongside Donald and Della, Scrooge became determined to continue. As such, he sought out a CEO to take care of business affairs at McDuck Enterprises.
Bradford quickly seizes this opportunity and comes to mister McDuck for a job interview. On it Bradford quickly applies to work for Scrooge, who true to the Papyrus cannot remember him from the adventure, and he accepts. As Scrooge makes him his CFO at his company, Bradford ironically declares that it will be the start of a beautiful friendship.[6]
Triggering Della's Near Tragedy in Space[]
Bradford kept working secretly to bring an end to Scrooge's adventuring ways through secret acts of sabotage, and for a time he succeeded with a single act: he revealed to the notoriously impulsive thrill-seeker Della Duck that Scrooge had been building the Spear of Selene, knowing that Della would jump at the chance to pilot the spacecraft.[7]
Indeed, Bradford's intervention proved disastrous for Scrooge. Della immediately launched the Spear, but would become lost in space. She had crashed on the Moon, though Scrooge would spend much of his fortune and nearly go bankrupt in desperate and ultimately unsuccessful attempts to search for his niece.
It would also be Bradford who pulled the plug on these search and rescue attempts, forcing Scrooge to resign himself to Della's fate, becoming alienated from Donald and most of the rest of his family.[8]
Creating The Rightfull Heir to Scrooge[]
Around the same time, Bradford and Black Heron worked on Project 87, a plan to recover the lost Papyrus of Binding themselves by genetically engineering an heir to Clan McDuck that F.O.W.L. would be able to control. They created a female clone of Scrooge they codenamed April.
But this plan was thwarted when S.H.U.S.H. Agent 22 Bentina Beakley infiltrated F.O.W.L.'s then base of operations. Agent 22 nearly uncovered F.O.W.L.'s leaders and could have destroyed the organization for good, but she discovered the baby April, and abandoned the rest of her mission to raise the child on her own, and left S.H.U.S.H. to move in with her friend Scrooge McDuck so that the child could have a good home.
At the time, Agent 22 did not know anything more than that the child was a F.O.W.L. project, and did not know the child's true purpose for existing, or that McDuck Enterprises C.E.O. Bradford was also F.O.W.L.'s director who had authorized the child's creation, or that the child was cloned from Scrooge, and Beakley for her part only told Scrooge and everyone else that the child was her own granddaughter named Webbigail Vanderquack whose parents were no longer around.[9] This put Bradford and the young Webby in relatively close proximity in Duckburg for most of Webby's life up until "Woo-oo!", but Bradford kept quiet and continued silently plotting even while posing as McDuck's chief executive officer.
Woo-oo![]
Bradford together with Bentley and Buford made their first appearance in the series premiere as Scrooge McDuck's stingy Board of Directors located in Money Bin, frequently but professionally clashing wills with Scrooge over the various expenses of McDuck Enterprises. At this point, the three board members appear to act as one body, and Bradford's unique role in the events of Clan McDuck's lives is kept secret both to the family and to the audience. Also secret is the fact that Bentley and Buford, who could plausibly be seen as Bradford's relatives, are actually his subservient clones created by Black Heron at F.O.W.L.
The Great Dime Chase![]
Bradford and his clones on the Board of Directors returned in this episode (with Bradford speaking this time instead of Bentley who spoke in "Woo-oo!") where they endeavored to convince Scrooge to cut spending for his company.
When Gyro Gearloose interrupted and presented his latest invention Lil Bulb to the board, they dismissed it.
Eventually, the board decided to make their own spending cuts, particularly at the Money Bin, by eliminating various expenses and employees they deemed necessary including cutting the Bin's magical defenses, selling the velvet pillow where the Number One Dime was exhibited, firing employees Emily Quackfaster and Gyro Gearloose and even selling the Money Bin itself, citing that Scrooge already had a perfectly adequate McDuck Enterprises office in downtown Duckburg.
After Lil Bulb went haywire and rampaged through the bin, it and Gyro interrupted the meeting between Scrooge and the board. Scrooge quickly convinced the board that were they to fire the likes of Gyro and Mrs. Quackfaster, the irate employees would seek revenge, and the board decided to keep the Bin and its employees far away from their own offices.
Jaw$![]
Bradford and his clones on the Board of Directors set up an interview with Roxanne Featherly for Scrooge, to improve his public image.
The 87 Cent Solution![]
Bradford and his clones attended Scrooge's fake funeral.
The Richest Duck in the World![]
Bradford and his clones on the Board of Directors appeared again in this episode now working with Louie Duck, who got ownership of McDuck Enterprises in previous episode. During the meeting Bradford expressed his dissatisfaction with Louie's incompetent leadership because of his unjustified spending. To cut costs, Bradford proposed to stop funding magical defense on the Falcon Island in the Heron Sea which Louie thoughtlessly agreed. This led to the escape of a dangerous creature - Bombie, who always hunts the richest person in the world, Louie in this case. While running from him, Louie demanded from Bradford (via phone) to cut the funding to the McDuck defense satellite system immediately in order to detain Bombie using falling satellites. That eventually led to the start of invasion from the Moon in following days.
Moonvasion![]
At the end of the episode, Bradford and his clones were revealed to be the F.O.W.L. High Command. Clan McDuck's inadvertently playing a part in starting Lunaris's invasion of Earth (because Della, unaware of Lunaris's bad intetions, gave to him plans of rocket
and Louie was responible for shutting down of McDuck defense satellite system, which has accelerated the invasion)
had convinced Bradford that the family had become far too dangerous to F.O.W.L.'s operations. They gathered their senior agents and commenced with plans to take down the family once and for all.
Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks![]
Bradford and his clones briefly appeared at the end of the episode, watching Gandra Dee confirm via spy footage that Clan McDuck had uncovered Isabella Finch's lost adventure journal. Bradford declared a race with the family to acquire the lost relics documented within.
At the time, it had not yet been revealed that Bradford was Finch's grandson or that he had originally tagged along as the one who chiefly responsible for chronicling Finch's adventures.
Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice![]
Bradford appeared solo to warn Black Heron and Steelbeak of Scrooge McDuck's presence in Funso's Fun Zone, as F.O.W.L.'s base of operations in Duckburg was located directly beneath the restaurant, and charged them with getting rid of Scrooge.
At the end of the episode, Bradford berated the two for their failure, after returning Launchpad McQuack and Dewey Duck to the Funso's AR game they believed they were playing and restoring Black Heron's intelligence with her Intelli-Ray.
He then restricts Heron from using any more rays and keeping Steelbeak silent by remote controlling his beak, as he reminds them that they're a part of F.O.W.L. and they should be smarter than causing the events they let happen.
He then claims they're not trying to destroy the world, but instead steal it from right under Scrooge's nose.
Let's Get Dangerous![]
At the McDuck Enterprises laboratories in Saint Canard, after Taurus Bulba used the Ramrod to summon the Fearsome Four and imprison Scrooge, Bradford personally confronted Bulba in his office and berated him for his actions.
When Bulba, who was also a member of F.O.W.L., tried to convince Bradford that the Fearsome Four could help F.O.W.L. take over the world, Bradford rejected Bulba's suggestion and plainly stated that F.O.W.L. isn't a supervillain organization again showing his denial of his own nature. This caused Bulba to turn against Bradford and he had Megavolt knock Bradford out with an electric shock.
Following this, Bradford was locked in a cell next to Louie, Huey, and Dewey. He was then forced to team up with the triplets, who helped him escape his cell. As the trio searched for the Ramrod, Bradford covertly contacted Black Heron and called in an extraction.
Later, Bradford and the triplets came across a room being guarded by Bushroot and narrowly avoided being captured.
The stress from this experience caused Bradford to lash out at the triplets, expressing all of his frustrations at the various times Scrooge’s adventures had endangered the world, specifically highlighting those cases then Magica De Spell broke the Money Bin, then Moon invaded the Earth, and the current situation with Ramrod.
Bradford quickly regained self-control and claimed to the now-suspicious triplets that he was just having a seizure.
He was forced to swallow his F.O.W.L. communication device under the guise of it being his brain medication in order to assuage the trio's suspicions.
When the group finally located the room the Ramrod was located in, Bradford discovered that Bulba had imprisoned Scrooge in a fictional dimension and wondered how he could explain any of this to Scrooge. This was overheard by Louie, Huey, and Dewey, who questioned Bradford on how he knew so much about the Ramrod.
At that moment, Bradford vomited up his F.O.W.L. communicator, through which Black Heron loudly stated that F.O.W.L.’s extraction team is almost to Bradford’s location, all while addressing Bradford as "F.O.W.L. Director".
This led Huey to realize that Bradford was actually their enemy, and Bradford responded to the accusation by tossing the trio into the same dimension Scrooge was imprisoned in. After this, Bradford unsuccessfully tried to shut off the Ramrod and hid when Bulba and the Fearsome Four arrived.
After Darkwing Duck, Launchpad and Gosalyn Waddlemeyer defeated Bulba, rescued Scrooge and the triplets, and destroyed the Ramrod, Bradford took advantage of the opportunity to board a helicopter being piloted by Black Heron, only to be spotted by Scrooge.
Even more compromisingly, the helicopter bore F.O.W.L.'s insignia, and Bradford scolded Black Heron that an unmarked helicopter would have been more preferable.
Realizing his cover had been thoroughly blown, Bradford began to leave in the helicopter, declaring to Scrooge that his days of adventuring would be coming to an end. For Scrooge, the revelation of Bradford's true role immediately made it clear just how dangerous the lives of Clan McDuck had actually become.
Escape from the ImpossiBin![]
Clan McDuck and their allies tried to fortify and trap the Money Bin with a wildly dangerous and puzzling security system. Unfortunately, Bradford found out the security code for the system and took control of it with the help of F.O.W.L. agent Gandra Dee.
Once Scrooge, Della and Louie beat the security system, Bradford took remote control of the Scrooge Robot with the help of Gandra Dee. He also reveals that Scrooge did not forget the password, but Bradford, through his hacking, had actually changed it. Della angrily asked what does he wanted naming him along the way "sour-pussed scavenger".
Bradford replied that if he told them that, then he would not be effective shadowy nemesis and attacked them directly.
After a lengthy fight in the Money Bin, Scrooge and the robot eventually started fighting in alternated gravity on the ceiling of the bin.
Scrooge was almost defeated by Bradford before being outwitted by Louie, by angering the Bulb-bot inside the robot, causing it to lash out at Louie with the Gravity ray and accidentally bringing all the Bin's money resources toppling on top of the robot, destroying it.
However, this is all proven to be a distraction in the end, when off-screen, F.O.W.L. had successfully captured the Lost Harp of Mervana, the Fountain of the Foreverglades, the Solego Circuit plans and Gene the Genie from Clan McDuck's possession. After realizing they'd been outwitted, they vowed an offensive against F.O.W.L. to take back all the stolen artifacts, along with the ones they hadn't stolen yet.
The Split Sword of Swanstantine![]
Bradford is mentioned when Black Heron is calling him saying they got what they came here for - the feathers of Webby, out of which May and June later will be created.
The Fight for Castle McDuck![]
Bradford is mentioned by Pepper, when she spoke of his order for F.O.W.L. agents to go with partners on the missions to obtain Missing Mysteries.
Beaks in the Shell![]
Bradford appeared as Gandra Dee's hologram. Bradford is later seen at the end of the episode where he meets Gandra Dee.
Bradford notified her that he was aware of Gandra's decision to leave F.O.W.L. and that her request to do so was denied.
Right after some Eggheads caught Gandra and Bradford ordered to them take her to the the lost library.
To Gandra's surprised question "What library?", Bradford answered she has her secrets and he has his, thus hinting at his past.
The Lost Cargo of Kit Cloudkicker![]
It is revealed that F.O.W.L already found the Stone of What Was but lost it years ago, when Bradford hired Kit Cloudkicker to transport it on his plane.
Later, Bradford is paying Don Karnage to get the Stone of What Was from an unknown island.
The Last Adventure![]
Bradford is seen with the rest members of F.O.W.L spying on Webby's birthday party at Funso's Fun Zone. After the cameras are destroyed by B.O.Y.D., Gosalyn, and Lena, Bradford said they're one step closer to victory and it is time for "The Last Adventure".
But then his associates started laughing maniacally, Bradford shouted loudly and forbade them to do it by telling them that they are not common villains again showing his denial of his own nature. Shortly after Bradford and F.O.W.L. agents cleared everything up except for May and June.
Bradford is seen again in the Library of Alexandria when Don Karnage land the plane with May holding the Sword of Swanstantine, Blessed Bagpipe of Clan McDuck and "Webby" all tied up brought by "June" (disguised Webby). But Bradford wanted Webby to come willingly and not as a hostage to retrieve the last missing mystery of Isabella Finch.
Shortly after Bradford sees that Huey Duck sneaked on the plane, being "caught by June" and told to the vulture that Junior Woodchucks never stops in their quest to know the truth. Bradford concludes that Huey can be useful and orders to May and "June" to bring the boy in his office.
Huey arrives in Bradford's office, and is stunned to learn that Bradford was in fact the first of the Junior Woodchucks, being the grandson of Isabella Finch. He claims that he only wants to catalogue the Missing Mysteries and complete what his grandmother started, and that Huey and he share the same goal. Bradford also adds that he needs Huey's help.
Later Bradford convinces Huey to hand over Finch's journal, which Bradford then adds to the original Junior Woodchuck Guidebook as missing section while still trying to sway Huey to his side telling him that his uncle is greatest adventurer but at big cost.
The vulture telling to Huey which is partly because of Scrooge, the Shadow War and invasion from the Moon happened in the first place. Bradford also recalls that because Scrooge didn't think twice and built the Spear of Selene, Huey's mother, Della Duck, was lost in space for ten years, while deliberately keeping silent about his own role in her disappearance.
Bradford then attempts to convince Huey to persuade Webby to voluntarily assist them, but after he's called away Huey spots Pepper taking Gyro to a prison cell. He soon discovers that Gyro's cell is neighbored by many more, with Gyro's closest neighbors being Gandra Dee and Ludwig Von Drake, whom Bradford apparently captured years ago and stopped aging due to being forced to help Bradford with his plans.
Ludwig soon sets Huey straight, informing him that Bradford hates adventure due to his childhood experiences, and is eager to get rid of it forever. Gandra explains that Bradford has used the Solego Circuit to create a void intended to destroy everything-and everyone-associated with adventure, and Huey sees that Bradford has many more captives in his power. Huey leaves to warn his family, only to be stopped by Bradford, who with words "What a disappointment." throws him into a cell with the others.
Later after capture of Beakley and interrogating her by Webby still disguised as June, old spy lady had to tell the truth about her granddaughter. Beakley reveals that she found Webby as an infant in F.O.W.L.'s old headquarters years ago, and took her in and brought her to McDuck Manor so she could grow up safe and happy.
Unfortunately, Beakley's confession makes her realize the depth of her "grandmother's" deception. Young duck girl fell into despair after that because Webby's grandma lied to her about her family. Shortly after Bradford appears before Webby and with mocking irony confirmed Beakley's confession.
He also tells to Webby that he is the only person who knows why she and her sisters were created and he will tell her that if she helps him. Webby reluctantly agrees to help Bradford, her creator, as she was intended to calling her April.
After that Bradford leads Webby to a mysterious walkway overlooking the expansive structure. Her presence causes the Papyrus of Binding to emerge from a mysterious box, but it becomes blank before she can see what's written on it.
Bradford then seizes the artifact, revealing that obtaining it and helping to him to defeat Scrooge was the whole purpose of Webby's creation in the first place to the greatest horror of Webby herself.
Later captured Scrooge awakens tied to a chair and is approached by Bradford, who notes that Scrooge's other friends and relatives have similarly been captured. Bradford explains to Scrooge his origins as Isabella Finch's grandson/first Junior Woodchuck, which really surprised and shocked Scrooge.
Bradford while being oblivious to Scrooge's surprise continued his story by saying that because he has been traumatized by the adventures with his grandmother in his youth, Bradford has a fanatical hatred of adventure and chaos and is determined to destroy them.
First he tried to do that at S.H.U.S.H, when at F.O.W.L. and even as CEO of Scrooge's company. Bradford argued that only in the last thirty years there have been events such as flying bears, bouncing bears, living statues
and the entire squad of goofs, misfits and adventurers. And all these events over the past century had one man in common - Scrooge McDuck himself. Then Bradford said that he tried to restrain and isolate Scrooge, but his adventures only got bigger as did his family.
Eventually Bradford admitted that he can't stop Scrooge, but he can make a deal with Scrooge, at the same time specifying that he is a businessman, not a villain, once again showing his denial of his own nature. But then to Bradford's surprise Scrooge breaks free from his bonds, in passing that Bradford is worthless as Junior Woodchuck because of his terrible knots, and attacks him.
However, Bradford gains a set of mystical armor from the Sword of Swanstantine and fights back with words "Now, on to new business!".
Scrooge and Bradford battle through the library, and during that fight Bradford reveals that he was secretly the one who leaked to Della that Scrooge had built the Spear of Selene.
In doing so he is revealed to have helped cause the traumatic incident that broke up Scrooge's family and led the events of the first two seasons, for the successful purpose of breaking Scrooge's will for a number of years.
Scrooge, in an act of rage, tried to strike Bradford but mighty vulture captures him and throws him through the roof. Arriving on the library roof, Scrooge sees Beakley, Donald, and Della captive and learns that the boys and Webby have also been captured.
Bradford threatened Scrooge, that his family would be thrown into the Solego Vortex, which eliminates everything that gets into it from existence, and offers him a deal: Scrooge can return home with his family, but only if he signs a contract written on the Papyrus of Binding to never adventure again. When Scrooge points out that getting rid of adventure and chaos would mean disposing of his own personnel, Bradford callously throws the rest of the Board of Directors and Black Heron into the Solego Vortex.
Huey, viewing the conversation through a video call, accuses Bradford of lying, as only Scrooge's heir can find the papyrus. When Webby admits that she found it, Ludwig reveals that as May and June were cloned from her, she was cloned... from Scrooge.
Having learned that their only reason for being was to help Bradford get the last artifact, May and June are hurt and frustrated, but are persuaded to help free Webby and the others to save the family, which they are now a part of.
Scrooge, needing a strategy, attempts to delay his signing of the contract, but Bradford threatens to throw Donald into the vortex so Scrooge reluctantly agreed to sign it and to give up. Donald tries to dissuade Scrooge from it convincing that he can beat Bradford, but Scrooge replies that it's not worth of his nephew's death and signs the contract.
Now after Scrooge's constriction by magical chains, Bradford declares that he won: "The Great Scrooge McDuck is now just poor old man". Immediately after that, much to Scrooge's, Della's and Beakley's shock and horror, Bradford finally gives in his villainous nature and prepares to throw Donald in vortex anyway with words:
"Normally, I wouldn't indulge in petty villainy, but since this is a special occasion...".
But suddenly much to their relief and Bradfords's anger the vortex deactivated as Scrooge's rescued allies in the form of Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, May, June, Gyro, Gandra and Ludwig arrive.
Furious, Bradford goes after Scrooge while screaming "NO! No more adventures!" but is stopped by Webby, who tells the Buzzard to "Get away from my dad!" much to Scrooge's shock. As the heroes try to save Scrooge, the Sword of Swanstantine amplifies Bradford's inner evil into an increasingly monstrous form. As Bradford saw it, he started to blame the Ducks for his transformation into a base villain, still denying his own villainous nature, which is now more than obvious.
He attempts to blast the still defenseless Scrooge, but Donald puts up a barrier and is joined in holding it by Della, Webby, Dewey, Beakley, and the reformed May and June.
As they back Bradford's power Huey and Louie analyze Bradford's contract, and discover a loophole: it says Scrooge can have his family if he gives up adventure; however, as the McDucks always say, "family is the greatest adventure of all". Bradford said it was the stupidious thing he had ever heard and expressed great doubts that this could work as a loophole.
But contrary to his expectations the contract disintegrates, losing its validity, and Bradford in horror and despair trying to catch its remains loses the sword and is left powerless. He screams in despair that he will not lose to Scrooge, but Scrooge himself replies, that Bradford lost not to him but to his family - all of them.
After that Bradford tried to escape only to be caught by Magica, Glomgold, and the Beagles waiting for him.
Ma Beagle expressed her disappointed displeasure not believing that Bradford was Scrooge's greatest villain. Glomgold adds that Bradford not even wearing a kilt. Bradford desperately tried to beg for mercy by saying that he is not a villain.
Magica ironically confirms that he is definitely not a villain and then turns him into an ordinary Buzzard, and Scrooge's adversaries then depart rather than face his family, both genetic and found.
