Bubba Duck is a cave duck and ancestor of Clan McDuck. He was a character from the DuckTales 1987 TV series but was reintroduced in the rebooted DuckTales 2017.
History
Woo-oo!
Bubba's fossilized skeleton appeared among the various artifacts in Scrooge McDuck's garage, along with the remains of a triceratops.
Day of the Only Child!
Bubba's fossilized skeleton appeared as a part of the band on Dewey Dew-Night.
Timephoon!
When Louie steals Gyro's Time Tub, he goes back to the stone age to steal an idol, the same idol Bubba wants to steal. The Time Tub brings back Bubba to the present day, where he is found by Huey, Dewey and Webby. While Huey wants to write a scientifically accurate report on caveducks, Dewey wants to just have fun with Bubba. The cave duck quickly develops a taste for chili cheese dogs and learns how to skateboard and play the guitar, to Huey's annoyance.
When the Time Tub brings a triceratops to McDuck Manor, Bubba leaps on the back of the dinosaur, trying to tame it. Then, as more and more historic people appear and attack the Ducks, Bubba takes a wooden club that belonged to one of the McDuck ancestors and joins the fight. Louie tries to fix the trouble he caused and sends back everyone to their respective times, with Bubba giving him a thumbs up to show he's fine with it, and taking the club with himself. When asked by Scrooge where the first cane of clan McDuck went; Huey, Dewey and Webby wonder whether Bubba, tougher, smarter and sharper than the average cave duck, was their ancestor, but they reject the idea due to it being too far fetched.
A final shot shows Bubba, back in the stone age, carving a top hat out of stone for himself. He then stands on a hill, wearing the hat and holding the club like a cane, in a similar pose to Uncle Scrooge, indicating that he is, indeed, the first McDuck ancestor.
Countdown to Termination!
Gyro mentions that the last time he messed with time, he almost accidentally brought back a drum-playing cave duck.
