"Dangerous Currency" is a four-issue Darkwing Duck and DuckTales crossover comic by Boom! Studios. It is the first proper crossover between the two shows (aside from Scrooge and Darkwing sharing a single panel in "The Legend of the Chaos God"). It utilizes a vast cast of characters and pulls from the larger Duckverse pool to include characters that have not before appeared in either franchise.
Synopsis[]
Magica De Spell has gathered some of the most dangerous foes of Scrooge McDuck and Darkwing Duck and attacks Duckburg and Saint Canard with a mysterious slime with the ability to alter both individuals and reality itself. Scrooge, Darkwing, Launchpad McQuack, and their friends have to work together to stop the collective evil to change their world forever.

Each of these characters appear in one sole panel, and neither is mentioned by name. Notably, it is the only DuckTales appearance of Dimwitty, April, May and June, and Moby.
Behind the scenes[]
- Several characters (noted by (cameo) in the list above) only appear in one frame each during the scene where Donald calls for the Duckburg citizens to "find their inner Donald Duck" – this include notable rare appearances by both several minor DuckTales characters, as well as by many Disney Duck comics characters otherwise not regarded as being a part of the DuckTales continuity.
- Warren Spector, who wrote the DuckTales comic's previous arc, "Rightful Owners", is credited as co-writer of "Dangerous Currency". In actuality, Spector's only contribution was offering advice on the Phantom Blot's characterization, as well as the idea of Magica teaming up with Cinnamon Teal and Camille Chameleon to form the League of Eve-il.[1][2]
