"Darkwing: First Darkness" is a proposed movie, featured in the DuckTales episode, "The Duck Knight Returns!".
History[]
The film is a reboot of the "Darkwing Duck" live-action television series, directed by Alistair Boorswan for McDuck Pictures and starring Drake Mallard as the titular superhero.

The film is a "modern, grittier" version of the TV series, much to Launchpad's dismay. Characters to appear in it includes, besides Darkwing, also Commissioner Haggard and the villain Megavolt.
Following Jim Starling's attack on the production, and his supposed demise, producer Scrooge McDuck closed production.
Behind the scenes[]
Much of the film's approach and aesthetics bears a close resemblance to modern real-life superhero movies in general, and DC Comics' Batman franchise in particular.
