Disney Channel is a cable network owned by The Walt Disney Company. Its first broadcast was on April 18, 1983, as a 16-hour-a-day pay cable channel. It soon changed to a 24-hour-a-day channel in 1986, and in April 1997 became a basic cable channel. Its programming consists of original first-run television series, theatrically-released and original made-for-cable movies and select other third-party programming. It originally marketed its programs towards families, and then at younger children by the late 1990s, and is currently aimed at female children ages 6-11, while its Disney Junior programs are targeted at younger children ages 2–7.
Following its departure from the Disney Afternoon, the original DuckTales series aired in reruns on the Disney Channel from 1992 to 2000.
The 2017 series, after airing its first nine episodes on Disney XD, moved to the Disney Channel in May 2018 and on April 4th, 2020 it moved back to Disney XD.
Canadian version[]
Episodes were aired on a delay. For example in season 3:
- Escape from the ImpossiBin! is listed as episode 14 and debuted November 8
- The Split Sword of Swanstantine! is listed as episode 15 and debuted November 15
- New Gods on the Block! is listed as episode 16 and debuted November 22
- The First Adventure! is listed as episode 17 and debuted November 29
- The Fight for Castle McDuck! is listed as episode 18 and debuted December 6
- How Santa Stole Christmas! is listed as episode 19 and debuted December 20
These are listed as 16/17/18 on Season 3 (DuckTales 2017) because in Canada Let's Get Dangerous! is listed as episodes 12 and 13, instead of just 12 (per broadcast order) or 13 (per production code: with The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades! being "312").
Let's Get Dangerous initially broadcast on November 1st as a solid one-hour. The first standalone broadcasts of the two halves were in January 2021, on Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th. "The St. Canadian Guardian" is listed as the subtitle for BOTH halves, mistakenly omitting the correct title for the 2nd half "A Case of Mistaken Reality".
