This page tells of the current history of Donald Duck from the rebooted Ducktales.
(Exposition and Spoiler)
- This article may be excessively detailed.
Donald Duck is a male duck who is the son of Quackmore Duck and Hortense McDuck, the twin brother of Della Duck, and the maternal uncle of Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck.
Early Life[]
Childhood[]
Donald and Gladstone as children
Years ago, Donald and Della hatched together, but with Donald just a few minutes before Della. Sometimes Donald would hang out with his cousin Gladstone Gander as a kid, but often fortune would come to Gladstone while misfortune would come to Donald.
The First Adventure[]
Donald and Della meeting their uncle Scrooge
One day the sister of Scrooge McDuck, Hortense McDuck, dropped off her kids and his niece and nephew, Della and Donald Duck-at Scrooge's Money Bin. She also left a note asking Scrooge to look after them, as their father Quackmore Duck had suffered an accident involving a firecracker.
Donald sings an impartial song about Scrooge
None too pleased at being forced to babysit, Scrooge soon found himself contending with another problem, as Beakley contacted him with news that F.O.W.L. was after the Papyrus of Binding. Reluctantly, Scrooge set out to locate the artifact, even more reluctantly bringing along his young relatives. Scrooge chartered a plane to the island where the papyrus was thought to be located, only for the pilots to turn out to be Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron. The two villains ditched the plane, but Della-already brimming with dreams of being a pilot-was able to safely land the aircraft.
Donald locatied the Yellow Beak's ship
The three made their way through the island's hazards, and in spite of himself Scrooge began to bond with Donald and Della, regaling them with the story of his encounter with El Capitán. They then arrived at their destination: the wrecked ship of Captain Yellow Beak, stranded atop a mountain peak. Making their way aboard using Scrooge's high-tech cane, they found the skeletal remains of Yellow Beak, driven to despair and desperation after making ill-considered use of the Papyrus' power. Heron and Bradford then arrived, seeking to claim the Papyrus for themselves, and conflict broke out between the rival teams. When Heron attempted to use the Papyrus to dispose of Scrooge's "sidekicks", the Papyrus' magic refused to act, and Scrooge realized that it was because Donald and Della were not his sidekicks, but family.
Donald fighting against Black Heron
Thwarted, Heron instead used the Papyrus to animate Yellow Beak's skeleton, whom Scrooge engaged in battle while Donald and Della occupied Heron. Overcoming the malicious magical minion, Scrooge confronted Bradford, vowing that he would hunt him and his associates down with all his energy. Unfortunately, Bradford used the Papyrus to transport himself away, simultaneously erasing Scrooge and the kids' memories of his presence. Heron soon had Donald and Della at her mercy despite their spunkiness, and demanded that Scrooge surrender the Papyrus. However, Scrooge acted to insure that she would not possess it, instructing the Papyrus to appear only when his rightful heir came to claim it. As it flew away in obedience to his instruction, Heron attempted to snatch it but failed, seemingly falling to her death in the process.
Donald and Della are happy after the conclusion of their first aventure with Scrooge
Having renewed his taste for adventure, and moreover prospering an ambition, Scrooge became determined to continue adventuring alongside Donald and Della. As such, he sought out a CEO to take care of business affairs at McDuck Enterprises, and unwittingly selected the foe he forgot he fought, Bradford Buzzard.
Meeting his nephew from the future[]
Young Donald meeting Dewey/Bluey
One fateful Christmas at McDuck Manor, Donald in his pre-teens locked himself away in his and Della's room entering a grungy punk-rock phase. Only that night, Donald encountered a strange boy who entered the room uninvited. When Donald approached him and demanded to know who he was, the boy claimed to be Bluey, his fifteenth step-cousin on his great-grandmother's niece's side from Canada. Donald would've been more skeptical of his sudden appearance if he wasn't aware of how complicated his family tree was, so he chose to shrug it off.
Young Donald discovering the unfinished camping tent
When Bluey asked Donald about his sister's whereabouts, Donald stated she was camped behind the manor trying to capture Santa Claus like she did every year, a tradition passed down from Scrooge's hatred for Santa. Although Donald wasn't willing to follow Bluey on the search for Della, he was forced to go after Bluey stole his guitar and jumped out the window. When they approached her camping site, they noticed an unfinished camping tent and stains on the tree which turned out to be jelly. While they continued following her footprints deeper into the forest, Bluey asked Donald why he wouldn't have wanted to go on a Christmas adventure with her, with Donald emphasizing his maturity compared to silly adventures with his sister.
Della accidentally capturing both Donald and Dewey/Bluey
Once the footprints stopped, Donald discovered a scarf he gave to Della last Christmas, but was interrupted when a large creature known as a Wendigo began to chase them through the forest. Just as they were about to get away, Donald and Bluey set off a trap that left them hanging from a rope net. Immediately after, Della appeared from above them and was disappointed she didn't catch the real Santa Claus. Donald was angry at Della for her recklessness in setting up all the traps out alone in the forest, while Della was more surprised Donald even decided to show up.
Della freeing the boys just as the monster arrives
Knowing the monster would be closing in on them soon, Donald demanded that she cuts the rope faster while referring to her as Dumbella. However, Della refused to continue cutting until Donald apologized, but Donald was originally unsure of what he had to apologize for, considering he hadn't seen Della all night. Bluey then pointed out that his decision to do nothing with her may have been the reason she was so upset, as she likely had little care about capturing Santa Claus, but rather desired to spend Christmas having fun with her brother. After Donald apologized for ditching her, Della freed them from the trap just as the Wendigo had arrived.
Donald promising to Della that they never spend another Christmas apart
As the three tried to fend off the beast, Donald was thrown to the ground, resulting in his guitar smashed, which lead him to ragefully attack the Wendigo. He was able to push him towards the new netting trap set up, as both Della and Bluey successfully tied the monster up and later brought it over to the manor to let their uncle Scrooge deal with it. Once the monster was placed by the entrance, Donald apologized to Della once more for having left her without anyone to hang out with, and promised to never spend another Christmas apart from one another.
Donald and Della giving their presents
After Bluey decided to hug Della without warning, she and Donald revealed they were already aware that Bluey was a relative from the future, noting it was only the fourth weirdest thing that happened to them on Christmas. But just as Bluey was about to warn them about an event happening in the future, both Donald and Della kept his beak shut, worrying that whatever he was going to say could affect the time stream. Donald and Della told him to wait as they went back into the Manor to get Scrooge, but that was the last time they saw Bluey before he left to go back to his present. Later that night, Donald gifted Della a new scarf, and Della gifted Donald a new Christmas sweater, clothing which both of them continue to wear into their adult years.
Adventuring with Scrooge and Della[]
On adventure with Scrooge and Della
For untold years, Donald, Della and Scrooge went on amazing adventures; Some of which Donald was an unfortunate victim. During most of their adventures, Donald specialized with boat transportation as they made numerous discoveries of lost locations, mystical artifacts, and barrel loads of treasure all throughout. Among these adventures were exploration to the island of Ithaquack, where he was good friends with the god Storkules.
Donald exploring with his sister and uncle
One of those adventures took place in a jungle with Donald Duck accompanied by his Uncle Scrooge and Della respectively. The trio came across an ancient city and temple, ruled by the mighty Monteplumage. Scrooge and Della make haste while they enter the temple, while Donald lags behind the group, making pessimistic quips along the way.
Inside the Temple
While walking down a hallway, Scrooge came across a bird-like artifact in a cage. Della examines the artifact while Scrooge recognizes the bird as the greatest treasure Montemplumage ever owned, the Golden Chicken. Much to the confusion of the group, the chicken came to life and begins to attack the group. Scrooge deduces that the chicken was not Montemplumage's greatest treasure, but actually his greatest nightmare. The chicken begins to grow in size as it continues to assault Donald while Scrooge and Della try to come up with a solution to stop the being.
Della's Tragedy in Space[]
Scrooge, Della and Donald faceing an unexpected problem
There eventually came a time where their years of worldwide adventures became so successful, they had begun to run low on new places to search and explore.
Donald & Della arguing with each other
This gave Della the idea to explore outer space, knowing it was the most uncharted territory in history. However, Donald protested because of the risks in the mission and with the three child eggs recently birthed by Della about to hatch. Nevertheless, Della disregarded Donald's warnings and carelessly chose to hijack the rocket ship dubbed the Spear of Selene. She had already deduced that Scrooge wanted to keep it from her as a surprise after Bradford Buzzard tipped her off, but it inevitably lead to her mysterious disappearance in an unpredictable cosmic storm, seemingly killing her.
Donald leaving the mansion to raise the triplets on his own
This left Donald in a furious state, as he placed the blame on Scrooge for the accident because of his role in building the rocket. Although Scrooge spent much of his fortune to find Della, many of the rescue attempts failed, which lead Donald to walk away on his uncle and move out of the mansion with Della's eggs. Soon after the departure, the eggs hatched and instead of the names Della suggested of Jet, Turbo and Rebel, Donald decided to name them Hubert, Dewford and Llewelyn, but short for Huey, Dewey and Louie.
During this time, Donald attained a part time job as a tugboat captain, but was fired when he accidentally blew up the boat. Nevertheless, he was allowed to keep the wreckage of the boat when asked, and after numerous repairs with hardware store supplies and other pieces of scrap metal, he moved into the boat and remained at the docks of Duckburg to raise his triplet nephews.[1] Over the next ten years, Donald struggled every day to raise the triplets as a single guardian and parent figure. He constantly tried to keep the boys out of the most minuscule of trouble, knowing the dangers they could face if they ever thought about following their mother, great-uncle, or even his own footsteps in adventure.
Current state[]
The trip to Atlantis[]
Donald getting ready
During the events of "Woo-oo," Donald is planning to go in for a job interview, but knows it's unsafe to leave his nephews alone due to their ongoing mischievous behaviour. Instead of leaving them back at the houseboat, Donald decides to take them to McDuck Manor with the hopes his Uncle Scrooge can watch over the boys. However, he is hesitant on the idea as a result of their past history and minimal contacting over the years. To his surprise, Donald unluckily runs into Scrooge just as they are arriving at the mansion simultaneously. This leads to some backtalk on both sides, but in the end Scrooge assures Donald he can handle the job.
Donald's new job
Donald then drives to his job interview for an accountant opening, but is instead hired with a new outfit as a sailor for Glomgold Industries by Glomgold himself, while asking Donald if he knows anything about Atlantis. During a viewing for an employee training video alongside fellow workers Hack and Slash Smashnikov and Gabby McStabberson, Donald continues to phone Scrooge to assure himself that the triplets are not running into any trouble. However, as Donald is travelling with his fellow workers and new boss towards the supposed underwater location of Atlantis, he notices that Scrooge and the boys have already gotten there before him, leaving Donald infuriated.
Donald protecting Dewey
While inside the temple, Donald secretly follows the family around the tunnels to make sure they won't be harmed by the death traps, or Glomgold and his henchmen. Eventually, Donald and his group run into Scrooge and Dewey in the treasure room, with Scrooge questioning Donald as to why he's working for his sworn enemy, and Donald in defense saying he can't keep track of all his sworn enemies. This, however, leads Glomgold to use Donald as a hostage for Scrooge to back off from attacking him, as well as sealing Scrooge, Donald and Dewey inside the treasure room so he can take off with the jewel of Atlantis without Scrooge on his tail.
The real jewel of Atlantis
As the room begins to flood, Donald blames Scrooge for having gotten them into the situation in the first place, believing it to be the "Spear of Selene" all over again, to which Scrooge retaliates by arguing he wasn't responsible for that incident. Once Dewey deduces the true jewel of Atlantis is right above them due to the fact it was an upside-down temple, Donald, Scrooge and Dewey pull the real jewel out from the statue above. With the Jewel being the primary power source for the temple, the water begins to drain from the room. The group then reunites with the rest of Scrooge's group as they are fighting off Glomgold's henchmen, only for them to witness Glomgold abandoning his henchmen and taking off with the submarine on his own.
Dewey's mistake
This forces Gabby, Hack and Slash to beg Donald to allow them inside Scrooge's submarine, to which Donald reluctantly complies. Once up to the surface with Scrooge presenting the real jewel of Atlantis to the news reporters, Donald admits to Scrooge about his overprotectiveness with the boys. Knowing his nephews are bound to get into more trouble no matter what he does, Donald enlists Scrooge's help in teaching them how to get out of trouble instead. Donald initially introduces the idea that Huey, Dewey and Louie could visit Scrooge once in a while on special days such as birthdays. As he is saying that, Donald's houseboat explodes in the background, leading Dewey to realize he had accidentally left the boat engine running. This allows Scrooge to offer Donald and the boys a temporary stay at his Mansion, with Donald accepting the offer. While the boys, Webby and Scrooge are re-sorting objects in the garage, Launchpad assists with placing Donald's houseboat in Scrooge's pool as a workplace for Donald to repair it.
New Life and New Adventures[]
The house rules meeting
A little while after Donald and the boys have moved in during "Daytrip of Doom," Scrooge begins to get frustrated with the new lifestyle, specifically because of Donald using his bathroom as his laundry room. During the meeting to discuss the house rules, Donald is the only one who stands against the reule, believing them to be unnecessary while also refusing to obey any commands set out by the housekeeper Mrs. Beakley. Later as Beakley is vacuuming, she notices an enormous amount of chords and extended outlets all leading to Donald's houseboat.
Keep your water
With Mrs. Beakley approaching Donald outside, he states he decided to live on his houseboat in the pool rather than within the mansion, believing he can stay out of Beakley's way if doing so. On the contrary, when asked by Beakley about splitting the water bill, Donald instead retaliates by clogging up the garden hose, sending a burst of water through the pipes and flooding the bathroom. Donald also attempts to further keep to himself by buying his own set of portable generators, allowing him to have no need to use any of McDuck Manor's power in the process. However, his idea is not well managed, as many of the fuel tanks and generators begin to leak gasoline into the pool, and soon after igniting a large fire which brings damage to both the surface of the pool and the houseboat.
Donald is eventually able to put out the fire with the pool water, but just as he finishes, he is hit in the head with a brick thrown by one of the Beagle Boys. Once he regains consciousness, he reads the ransom note attached to the brick and soon realizes the Beagle Boys have captured Webby and his nephews, and is holding them hostage at Funso's Fun Zone. Donald attempts to warn Scrooge, but he was too distracted sulking in his money bath, so instead he is forced to turn to Mrs. Beakley for help.
Donald prepared to fight against Beagle Boys
Once they drive over to the location, Burger and Bouncer Beagle are on the pier blocking their path, leading Beakley to believe they will require a certain strategy to fight them off. Much to her surprise, Donald's rage from the demanding of his boys proves him to be a better fighter than Beakley had originally assumed, leading her to believe Donald really can take care of himself. Once the Beagle Boys are dealt with, they make their way into Funso's, only to discover Webby and the boys have already successfully taken down the remaining captors Big Time and Ma Beagle. Once they returned home, Beakley shows Donald how to properly manage the boat's power with the mansion's circuit breaker, to which Donald thanks her for. He also questions Beakley's expertise in electricity and taekwondo as a mere housekeeper. Beakley replies by stating she's a spy, as she begins laughing with Donald joining in, but it soon turns into an awkward moment with Donald looking at Beakley in confusion.
Donald hesitant on coming along
Sometime after in "The House of the Lucky Gander," Donald decides to join the gang on the trip to Macaw to help his cousin Gladstone Gander, after a call for help was recently sent to McDuck Manor. Although Huey claims one of Donald's mottos is family always helps family, Donald is still hesitant in helping due to his jealousy of Gladstone's supernatural good luck ever since they were young. They then land by the docks in front of a hotel known as The House of the Lucky Fortune, where they enter the building and take the elevator up to the penthouse where Gladstone's supposed to be. Although they hear cries for help at first as Donald and the gang enter the room, they soon realize it's Gladstone enjoying a massage from one of the panda employees.
Donald and Scrooge arriving at the penthouse
Donald then begins to question Gladstone about the assistance he claimed he needed, but Gladstone shrugs it off by saying he wanted some people to help him share his winnings from the casino. Scrooge then decides to leave and continue his search for the Golden Cricket alongside Dewey, Huey and Webby, but Louie wants to stay and have fun with Gladstone. Gladstone pleads to Donald to let Louie come along, and Donald eventually agrees, but on the condition that he will tag along to make sure Louie doesn't get himself into any trouble.
Donald trying on some outfits
At the clothing store, Gladstone and Louie are luckily able to get their suits for free because of Gladstone's famous reputation among the hotel. But as for Donald, he is forced to pay up so he instead buys a cheap t-shirt. Even so, he is tackled by the panda guards because the security bracelet is still attached to his shirt. As the games proceed, Gladstone is luckily winning the grand prizes, while Donald is losing all of his chips due to his bad luck to the point where a slot machine falls on him, and he makes a spinning wheel lose control.
What was really going on
Eventually Donald decides to give up, believing he has shown enough embarrassment of himself to Louie. But Gladstone claims he wasn't attempting to embarrass him, as he merely wanted to invite them to try and have a taste of the "good life." As much as Gladstone pleads to Donald to keep playing, Donald still insists on leaving and walks off, much to Gladstone's annoyance. Just as Donald and Gladstone are reaching the exit with the rest of the gang, it is revealed by an invisible chain that Gladstone is actually trapped within the building as a prisoner.
Building breaking into pieces
The walls then begin breaking apart, and everything else within the building (including Donald and Louie's bought clothing) turns into cards. Soon after, the mastermind of the building reveals himself as Liu Hai, an ancient spirit of chance and fortune. Gladstone then goes on to explain that Liu Hai is considered a "Luck Vampire," whose held him captive within the building to feast off of his natural good luck. He had also hoped that Donald in particular would come to save him, as because of Donald's natural bad luck, he believed it would break his winning streak so Liu Hai could let him go.
Donald angry at Gladstone
Scrooge then challenges Liu Hai to one game, where if Scrooge loses then they would be trapped there forever, and if Scrooge wins then they are all allowed to leave the building. Liu Hai accepts the challenge and sets up an obstacle course where the first person to cross the finish line would be the winner. But because Liu Hai is the one in charge of the game, he not only picks Gladstone to be his champion to run the course, but Scrooge is also forced to have Donald as his champion instead of himself. Donald then shows his anger at Gladstone for their willingness to come to help him, only to put the entire family in danger in the process because of him.
Donald screaming away a tiger
Gladstone apologizes to Donald, but still proceeds to play as he isn't willing to sign up for a life of servitude over saving his life. As the race goes on, Donald runs into numerous bad luck situations as he attempts to speed his way through the course, but Gladstone remains confident in his luck to the point where he casually walks through the course while still being ahead of Donald. Due to Gladstone's lead, Donald is about to give up once more, but Louie encourages him from afar to keep going, which allows Donald to have just enough strength to beat Gladstone from crossing the finish line first.
The rest of the family are now allowed to leave the building, but Liu Hai still retains full control over Gladstone. Scrooge then suggests to Liu Hai to take Donald instead, believing he is now the luckiest duck in the world considering he won the race. Liu Hai agrees and instead takes Donald as a prisoner while magically transporting the rest of the group back outside. Louie is outraged by Scrooge's choice to give up Donald, but Scrooge knew what he was doing as ten seconds later, Donald is thrown out of the building. Due to Donald's bad luck, Liu Hai had most of his power drained from him, as he then decides to beam himself and the building away.
Donald having been freed from Liu Hai
Louie praises Donald for his heroic efforts at the end, and the kids also gather around him for a group hug. They then make their way back to the plane, with Gladstone still shrugging their victory off as his responsibility for his natural good luck, but Louie in return believes luck to be overrated. The gang then finally makes their way to the mountain where the Golden Cricket rests, but everyone including Donald had already passed out from their recent adventure. With Scrooge also feeling underwhelmed at the sight of the cricket, he agrees to go back home.
Storkules and Donald's reunion
Donald follows the group once more on a flight to Greece in "The Spear of Selene," but during a storm, their plane is struck by lightning and they end up crashing down on the island of Ithaquack. After realizing where they've landed, both Donald and Scrooge demand they should leave immediately, but Launchpad claims it will take time before he figures out what the problem is with the plane. Meanwhile, the kids open the cargo carrier and hop out onto the island, much to Donald's annoyance. He then attempts to carry Huey and Louie back to the plane but is instead ambushed by a man who's revealed to be an old acquaintance of Donald's, Storkules.
Scrooge and Donald after having been called out by Zeus
Storkules introduces himself as one of the greatest heroes of Greece, as well as one of Donald's best friends, which he also considers his proudest accomplishment even though Donald himself considers them acquaintances. Scrooge then calls out to Donald to hurry up with gathering the kids before a certain someone learns of their arrival, but is then immediately approached by the man himself, Zeus. Zeus goes on to explain about how Ithaquack used to be a great vacation area for gods to rest and enjoy themselves, but then Scrooge came along and ended up out besting Zeus in every event they competed in including monster-slaying, treasure finding, and sandcastle building. During those challenges, Donald had also met Storkules for the first time and even had a pot painting created to show them as BFFs.
Storkules suggesting to Donald they throw a feast to celebrate
Zeus claims there was no one around because they didn't want to party with a god who was beaten by a mortal, but a pot painting Scrooge shows to Zeus said otherwise, as it shows Zeus kicking everyone out with lightning out of jealousy. Storkules continues to go on about his excitement with Donald and Scrooge's presence, but when Storkules questions Donald as to why Della is nowhere to be found, Donald takes a small glance at the boys and leaves his head down, unable to answer the question. Nevertheless, Storkules suggests they should embark on another amazing adventure to honour her, but Donald claims he's no longer a man of adventure. Even so, Storkules still manages to convince his father that they should throw a feast in honour of their guests' arrival.
During the feast
But as the feast progresses, insults begin to be thrown back and forth by Scrooge and Zeus, and so Zeus decides they throw a new competition between both families to prove who is the superior party hounds. As he proceeds to explain, Scrooge and Donald attempt to sneak away once more with the boys, but they are halted when Zeus creates an electric forcefield that traps them within a dome-styled arena. With no other choice, Scrooge unwillingly allows his nephews Louie, Huey, and Donald to participate in the challenges. After changing into their tunics, their first challenge is announced to be the first to grab Aeolus's bag of wind, but Donald instead turns away from the race and refuses to participate. Even so, Huey manages to win for his family by using the bag's power and his tunic to his advantage and is able to fly over to touch the bag before Storkules can.
The better sculpture
The next challenge involves frisbee distance, but even though Donald lazily threw his frisbee, he still manages to win because Storkules throws his frisbee so far, it manages to fly around the world and back, but just a little bit behind Donald's. The next challenge is revealed to be horse racing, in which Donald also wins without trying as he crashes into a rock, which causes the carriage to catapult him ahead of the others and land straight onto the finish line. The next challenge is to create the best clay sculpture of themselves, but even though Storkules' sculpture was the best, Donald still wins because Storkules made his Sculpture's face resemble Donald.
Donald refusing to participate
The final challenge is to steal a golden fleece from an innocent-looking young girl, but this time Donald simply walks away and refuses to do the challenge. When questioned by Storkules, Donald once again states he is through with adventure, knowing from experience that someone will always get hurt. Later into the challenge, it's revealed that the little girl is actually a mythical creature known as a Siren, whose singing acts as a mind-controlling enchantment to anyone who listens to it. Storkules ends up being the only one affected by the enchantment, leading Zeus to forcefully command him to destroy Scrooge and his family to win the game.
Storkules hugging Donald after being saved by him
Meanwhile, Donald makes his way back towards the plane but is still unable to make it no matter how hard he tries to get through the forcefield. But once he hears cries for help from the boys, Donald returns to the playfield to fight off the mind-controlled Storkules from hurting his family. Scrooge then steps in to help Donald fight, and soon the hypnosis wears off on Storkules after Louie manages to convince the Siren to stop singing. Storkules praises Donald for having saved him while in his hypnosis state, but Zeus is still not satisfied, leading Scrooge to suggest they do one final challenge to decide it all.
Dewey accidentally winning and angering Zeus
Knowing that Zeus will arrogantly force him to continue with the challenges until he proves victorious, Scrooge chooses to throw the final game, which Zeus celebrates by deciding to deactivate the forcefield and allowing the family to leave. With parting words, Storkules explains to Donald that he may be through with adventure, but the adventure will never be through with him, and that he considers him a hero whether he wants to be or not. Donald in return finally decides to call Storkules his friend, leading Storkules to hug him tightly as he proclaims the day to be the best day of his life. As the family proceed to leave, Dewey and Webby return to the group, only for Dewey to accidentally beat Zeus at the final challenge. This leads the gang to hurry back to the plane before they get another taste of Zeus's wrath, only for them to discover that Launchpad destroyed the plane.
Donald running off
Later during "McMystery at McDuck McManor," Donald is briefly seen running out of the mansion and driving off with his car. Knowing that it is Scrooge's birthday, he refuses to get tied up in a string of conflicts once again, considering Scrooge despises the day that reminds him of how old he truly is.
Beakley coming to assist
In "Jaw$," Donald is seen sitting beside Lena in the living room while they're waiting for the rest of the family to return from their adventure. Once the boys and Scrooge enter the mansion, Donald walks over to the entrance and attempts to help the boys lift a large golden plate they recovered among their other treasure discoveries. Although they have trouble lifting it, Beakley comes in to collect the new treasure and is able to lift the plate with not only Donald and the boys still holding on, but also just a single hand.
Donald asleep while Launchpad is taking the boat
Later that night as Donald is sleeping on a beach float in the pool, Launchpad uses one of Scrooge's helicopters to carry Donald's houseboat over to Scrooge's money bin. This is due to the Money shark incident that is happening simultaneously within the bin because of Lena's cursed gem that was placed inside of it earlier that day. Due to the circumstance, the gang required a boat to assist them in the hunting for the money shark swimming in the bin. The next morning, Launchpad returns the boat to the pool while waking Donald up in the process, only for Donald to realize the severely damaged state the boat had suffered from the battle at the bin.
Donald accidentally tying himself up
A little while after in "Who is Gizmoduck," Donald, accompanied by Huey, tries to make a case for himself for a loan from the bank. However, he is ultimately denied due to the bank considering him a financial risk, leading him to have an outburst on one of the pens attached to a string. While Huey attempts to convince the bank teller into providing him a small business loan, the bank begins to get robbed by the Beagle Boys. When Bigtime, Burger and Bouncer approach Huey, Donald attempts to defend him but is unable to because of the string knot he accidentally tied himself up with during his outburst.
Roxanne interviewing Huey
Luckily during the robbery, McDuck Enterprises intern Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera is also present and able to gain access to the experimental robotic suit he carries with him. Once equipped into the suit, he is able to thwart off the Beagle Boys from robbing the bank, but he accidentally causes massive damage to the bank in the process. Reporter Roxanne Featherly gives an interview to Huey to describe the events, while Donald is seen beside them trying to put out the flames from any of the burning money.
Donald's painting in Castle McDuck
Donald does not make an appearance in "The Secret(s) of Castle McDuck," but he is mentioned all throughout the episode. Donald is first mentioned by Huey about him and the gang having gone behind Donald's back for the destination they're heading towards. While inside Castle McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie laugh at a framed painting of their uncle Donald in a suit when he was their age, only for them to discover a riddle placed behind the frame which they presume to be a clue to the Knights Templar treasure.
Launchpad pretending to be Donald
Meanwhile, during dinner with Scrooge and his parents Downy and Fergus McDuck, Scrooge tries to act like he has become more of a family man by dressing Launchpad into Donald's clothing, and making them believe he and Donald have had a close and healthy relationship for a while. During the dinner, Fergus begins to grow suspicious of "Donald's" backstory and new appearance, but immediately drops it after Launchpad performs an outburst similar to Donald's. Meanwhile with Huey Dewey and Louie, the path they discover from the riddle leads them to the final resting place of all their ancestors. Because the riddle was on the back of Donald's painting, they decide to enter Donald's tomb to search for more clues. After fending off a demon dog lurking around the tunnels, the boys then discover one of Donald's blue sailor hats stuffed inside a bag found in his tomb. They then conclude that considering the "borrowed crown" from the riddle was Donald's hat, the riddle hunt was actually just an elaborate prank their mother and Donald's sister Della set up for him a long time ago.
Donald preparing to make his final repairs on the houseboat
In "The Last Crash of the Sunchaser," it is revealed that Donald and the triplets have been staying with Scrooge for the past six months. Donald is the only one among the Manor inhabitants to back out on the trip to Monacrow because of his nearing completion of repairing the houseboat. However, while Donald states to Huey that the boat will be ready to get back to the Marina in a couple of days, explosions are seen in the background near the pool. This leaves Donald with doubts in his mind about completing the repairs fast enough, but still proceeds to get to work while the others take the Sunchaser for the trip.
Donald announcing the boat's complete reparation to the boys
By the next day, Donald is luckily able to fully restore the houseboat faster than he imagined, as when the boys return he is seen making the finishing touches for the paint job. Donald was skeptical about why they had returned so early, but nevertheless announces to them about the boat being fully restored. Seeing Huey, Dewey and Louie upset even over the news, Donald asks them about what happened on the trip. When Dewey admits they found out about the Spear of Selene incident, Donald becomes dispirited as the boys then board the boat, request they all leave the mansion and go back to the Marina.
Moving back to the Marina
Three days later in "The Shadow War," Donald and the boys are back on the docks of Audubon Bay and have just finished moving their belongings back onto the boat with Webby's help. Noticing the boys still feeling gloomy over their departure from the mansion, Donald tries to cheer the boys up with some fish and crackers. While Webby is the only one willing to eat them, Donald notices Dewey's absence and is about to run over to the steering wheel, but instead finds him sitting on a staircase as he claims he wasn't stealing the boat this time. Donald continues to notice the boys' upsetting state, as he witnesses them throwing away all the artifacts they had collected on their adventures with Scrooge.
Donald showing the boys the brochure
This encourages Donald to move the boat to the city of Cape Suzette for a fresh start, as he announces to the boys his intentions to move there first thing tomorrow, much to their excitement. Later while Donald is placing back the kitchen equipment, Webby and Launchpad barge into the room and begin setting food around the counter. When Donald demands to know what's going on, Webby informs him that she and Launchpad are throwing him and the boys a "heartwarming farewell dinner," to which Donald hesitantly allows.

Once the dinner is set up, Webby shows them to the dinner table where she intends to have the theme of the feast being "culinary journey through Duckburg," in the hopes that Donald and the boys will change their minds about leaving. Once everyone is seated with Mrs. Beakley also having shown up for the boat party, Webby gives a toast and suggests they all say one nice thing about a relative. Dewey decides to pick Donald because he began to realize how devoted he is to his family over others, with Huey, Louie and Launchpad also complimenting Donald in the process.
Beakley introducing Scrooge's favorite dessert
Webby tries to imply to the boys to say something good about Scrooge, but when Dewey begins to question why they've been acting strangely throughout the dinner, Launchpad inflates a bounce house inside the houseboat to change the subject. This is when Beakley starts to catch on to what Webby and Launchpad are attempting to pull off, but instead of making them come clean, she decides to join them in convincing the boys to stay. Beakley then approaches the boys with one of Scrooge's favourite desserts, but also begins to guilt-trip them about their decision to leave the mansion. She goes on to explain about Scrooge's search for Della almost leaving him bankrupt and broken on the inside from her disappearance, and how it's illogical for them to shove Scrooge out of their lives when they had already lost a family member dear to them in the past.
Donald and the boys agreeing to go back to the mansion
Even so, Dewey decides to call out Mrs. Beakley and the others on their attempt to guilt-trip them into going back to the mansion, claiming they have already made up their minds about going to Cape Suzette. Donald, on the other hand, decides to reject the idea of leaving, believing what Beakley is saying about Scrooge to be true. He also believes Scrooge truly needs them in his life, as do they with him, stating that their family has been separated for too long and it's time for all of them to come back together. Eventually, all three boys join Donald in a group hug, having concluded that they should return to the mansion.
Donald and the boys witnessing the attack at McDuck Manor
But just then, an explosion is heard outside as Donald and the others run out to see what's happening. As they gaze upon McDuck Manor, they notice an enormous surge of power swirling around it, with evil sorceress Magica De Spell revealed to be the main cause of it. As Magica makes her way towards Scrooge's Money Bin, she casts a spell on the city of Duckburg that causes everyone's shadows to come to life and turn against them, with Donald and the others included. Just as Beakley is about to suggest a plan to save Scrooge, another group consisting of Gyro Gearloose, Lil Bulb and Manny climb on board the boat from the ocean after their own shadows wrecked their laboratory at the bin.
Donald talking normally
Donald tries to suggest a plan to save Scrooge, but no one can fully understand what he's saying. This prompts Gyro to force Donald to swallow a voice box he invented, which allows Donald to speak with clear enunciation. Donald proceeds to announce that it is up to them to save Scrooge, as he encourages them by quoting "these ducks don't back down." Although Beakley was about to suggest a plan, Donald cuts her off and devises his own plan. He orders Gyro, Manny and Bulb to charge the bridge to distract Magica's shadow forces, Launchpad to fly with the Sunchaser to catch Magica's attention, and Beakley and himself to sneak around the back of the bin using his houseboat.
"I am the storm!"
Webby, Huey, Dewey and Louie want in on the action as well, but Donald orders them to stay on the docks, believing Magica to be too dangerous of a foe for them to take on. Beakley initially wants to take control of the wheel, but Donald disagrees, claiming it's his boat and thus his rules. However, as they're making their way towards the bin, Magica and her shadows already begin attacking the boat, and eventually the boat engine overheats. Seeing no other option, Donald is forced to abandon his boat and swim the rest of the way towards the money, while Beakley is left to guard the boat against the shadows.
Donald fighting the shadows
Once he makes his way into the bin, he notices Webby and the boys have already made their way inside and defends them as they're about to be cornered by Magica's shadows. When Donald finishes dealing with all the nearby shadows, he reveals to the kids that he intentionally told them not to come as he already knew they were planning to get into the bin their own way. But as more shadow reinforcements are incoming, Donald decides to fend them off while the kids move forward to save Scrooge from Magica in the vault (which had already been broken into from above). As the fight proceeds, Donald is successfully able to fight off the shadows, but he runs into problems of his own as the voice box begins to cause electric shocks to his body, and a shadow with a Gizmoduck suit is about to attack.
Donald celebrating the victory with the others in the bin
Once all the shadows are dealt with, Donald and the rest of the group, having lost Gyro but now accompanied by Fenton, enter the vault to assist Scrooge and the kids with the fight against Magica. As Scrooge flicks Magica's staff towards the vault entrance, Donald tries to grab it, but he instead slides down onto the money pile as the magical orb on the staff falls on his head and breaks. This causes all the remaining shadows to disappear, along with Magica losing all her powers from the eclipse to Scrooge and his family. With the battle won and Magica now fleeing, Beakley informs Donald about the sinking of his boat, and Donald himself coughs up the voice box and reverts to his normal voice. Scrooge then offers everyone a swim in his Money bin of coins, As celebration for not only defeating Magica, but also bringing the family back together once more.
The Return to McDuck Manor[]
Scrooge announcing game night
Four months later in "The Most Dangerous Game Night," Donald and the boys are reinstated back to McDuck Manor along with the other workers of both the household and Scrooge's businesses. One day after another grueling adventure for Louie, he suggests to Scrooge that they do something simple such as game night. This excites Scrooge so much, he announces game night surprisingly to everyone, including Donald who slips and falls into the pool. When Scrooge orders everyone to partner up, Donald is selected by Scrooge to be his partner. Scrooge then threatens Donald by saying if they were to lose, he will take him out of the will, with Donald more surprised that he was on the will in the first place.
Charades
During the game of charades, Donald is the one acting out the thing they're supposed to be, while Scrooge is able to guess the who he is faster than anyone imagined. This eventually leads other contestants Webby and Dewey to realize that Scrooge chose Donald as a partner because of their expertise in non-verbal communication. Even though Donald and Scrooge show minor bickering with the last guess, they easily beat Dewey and Webby because of Dewey's inability to guess what Webby is on the first try.
Donald and Scrooge during Jenga
During the game of Jenga, Donald becomes impatient on Scrooge's slow steadiness with removing the blocks, with Scrooge retaliating by recalling other past experiences of reassembling. Luckily he is able to take the block out safely and Scrooge and Donald share a brief hug in celebration, but both of them immediately shrug it off and shake hands instead. When it is Dewey and Webby's turn, the block tower immediately falls over as Huey and Louie begin to freak out all of a sudden. Donald and the others begin to grow suspicious about Huey and Louie's odd behaviour, so they decide to move forward to the next game in the dining room.
Donald and the group playing Scroogeopoly
The final game is a game known as Scroogeopoly, but some of the group have their suspicions that the game is rigged considering Scrooge is the one who made it. As the game proceeds, Dewey and Webby end up losing their money to Scrooge because of rental debts and tax fees, while Donald continuously lands in jail. However, the game is interrupted when a shrink ray carried by flies shrink Donald, Scrooge, Webby, and Dewey as they land on the game board. They are then confronted by a miniature race known as the Gyropuddlians, who had also captured Launchpad and Gyro earlier that night.
Fighting against the Gyropuddlians
Louie (who was still normal-sized) then strategizes a plan for everyone to defeat the Gyropuddlians. He orders Launchpad to crash his way out of his trap, Donald and Scrooge to fend off the Gyropuddlians from attacking anyone else, Huey to tie up the Gyropuddlian they have accidentally increased in size, and Dewey and Webby to get up to the flies holding the shrink ray. During the fight, Dewey and Webby believe it's be better for Donald and Scrooge to do their job because they assume them to be more in sync, judging from the previous games they played. Scrooge disagrees, stating how he's a billionaire while Donald's a moocher who eats his food and lives in his pool.
Everyone reverted back to their normal size
Scrooge also states that driving each other crazy but still caring about each other more than anyone else doesn't make you friends, it makes you family. This fills Dewey and Webby with encouragement, as they're then able to use a leaning card as a launchpad to reach high enough towards the flies. From there, they manage to lower the shrink ray for Louie to retrieve it, as he then grows everyone who was shrunken back to their normal size. But although they had just finished the massive fight, Scrooge remains more concerned about proceeding with the board game.
Donald warning the boys about Fethry
Later in "The Depths of Cousin Fethry," Donald assists Scrooge in reorganizing his office with Huey and Dewey present, when suddenly a radio transmission begins coming in on Scrooge's desk. Scrooge requests that the boys do not pick up the call, as he knows it's their cousin Fethry Duck calling from a secret deep-sea laboratory. While Donald adds that Fethry is "cuckoo bananas," Scrooge explains that every time they respond, it only ever turns into a fools' errand while embarking on a needlessly dangerous adventure. Donald also emphasizes all the explosions that occurred, while believing the adventures to be a big waste of time in the end. But even when learning about Donald and Scrooge's history with Fethry, once they leave the room the boys immediately respond to the call.
Panchito and Jose's introduction
Donald later accompanies the family on a trip to Brazil in "The Town Where Everyone Was Nice," where they plan to attend the blooming of a large and rare flower known as the Drosera occidendum. Donald, however, has his own plans for the trip, as it gives him the chance to reunite with his friends Jose Carioca and Panchito Pistoles. When the kids question who they are, Scrooge reveals they were Donald's college buddies and had also formed a band together known as The Three Caballeros. Soon after, Donald and the others notice José skydiving down from a plane, and Panchito stepping towards them with a guitar solo, with Scrooge whispering to Donald how much more impressive they seem than him.
The secret handshake
Donald approaches them in celebration of their reunion, as they then share a secret handshake before greeting the rest of the family. When José and Panchito introduce themselves to the triplets, José and Donald reminisce about a time when Donald insisted he could juggle the eggs containing the triplets, and Panchito adds that he accidentally dropped one while doing so. When Scrooge questions about the fees for the trip, José states that he already took care of everyone's stay, having had the experience as an international travel consultant. Panchito also announces his status as a pop star who is always shrouded in fame for his singing talent.
Donald asking Huey and Scrooge for help
When the boys ask Panchito and José to tell them anything embarrassing about Donald, they reveal how Donald was always the cool one because of his status as a Globetrotting adventurer with his Uncle Scrooge. But when they ask Donald about his current work, Donald begins to feel the pressure as he believes he's done nothing worthwhile with his life. When looking to Huey and Scrooge for help, Huey suggests he plays the part of someone successful. Donald then approaches Panchito and José by claiming he's a billionaire, with Huey adding how he intends to take over the family business so Scrooge can retire.
Wallet struggle
Although Scrooge dislikes the idea, he is forced to go along with it as the role of a helpless old man, in fear that he may be forced to pay for the trip if Donald is caught lying. During Lunch, Donald intends to order something casual, but Huey instead suggests he orders something more cultural to keep up with the act. After lunch and inconspicuous whistling between Donald, Panchito, and José over the bill, Panchito suggests Donald should pay because of his supposed rich status. This forces Donald to take Scrooge's wallet, but Scrooge is so hesitant on forking over his money that Huey has to step in from under the table and personally hand the wallet to Donald.
Donald playing the accordion
Later, Donald, José and Panchito take a stroll through the town while reminiscing about many of their previous band concerts. Some of them include Donald getting concussions due to severe hits to the head because of his unbearable singing talent, but Donald claims he has no memory of those events (implying he got amnesia). They all continue to reminisce about how carefree and enjoyable their youth was, but also know that they have all grown up and gained new responsibilities for their lives. To lighten the mood, the Caballeros decide to dance and create rhythms to a nearby radio song, where Donald plays the accordion from what was originally thought to be just his sailor hat.
Donald, Panchito and Jose planning to bring the band back together
Soon after, Donald announces abruptly to Huey and Scrooge that he and his friends plan to get the band back together, much to their surprise. Scrooge is furious at the news after Donald claims he will be the one to pay for the tour and instruments, which causes the two of them to brawl over the wallet once more. Later, Huey attempts to reason with Donald by explaining to him the fees that will be involved with the tour, and how he has no money to pay for all of it. Nevertheless, Donald shrugs it off as he believes that considering Scrooge is rich, he can pay him back at some other point.
The truth about the plant
But just then, Dewey, Louie and Webby run towards the rest of the group and warn them that the writing on the fountain at the center of town isn't a legend. Instead, it's revealed to be a warning with Donald and the rest of the group meant to be the real feast of the flower. Although Donald is reluctant on leaving at first, he eventually agrees and leaves to go find José and Panchito while the others flee back to the plane. Once he finds them, both Panchito and José are insistent on staying, believing the crowd outside is waiting to hear their performance.
Donald and the others admitting their lies
Due to Panchito and José's ongoing persistence in performing outside and for the tour, Donald is forced to admit that there wasn't going to be a tour. He also confesses he lied about being a billionaire when in actuality he's broke, and he only lied to try and impress them. Although Panchito ridicules Donald for lying to them, José then admits he was also lying about being a travel consultant, but in reality a flight attendant who cashed in all his airline points to pay for the trip. Panchito is then forced to admit he was lying as well, as he isn't actually a famous musician but instead a small time birthday party performer, who wanted the tour to help him relaunch his career.
The show must go on
During their confessions, they notice the commotion happening outside with the plant having captured the rest of the group. Although Donald initially plans to dive straight in to attack, Panchito and José instead suggest they move on with the performance using their signature song, but the same way they did in a previous concert where they had to fight their way through the crowd. As they proceed to sing the song, they begin attacking the plant while saving the rest of the group in the process.
Scrooge is sorry but not sorry
During the last few lines, Donald's singing voice becomes so deafening, the plant rots away as it then frees everyone else from its grasp. On the plane ride back home, Panchito suggests they should get the band back together for real, which Donald believes to be a great idea. However, Scrooge still isn't keen about the idea and while still pretending to be a helpless old man, he grabs Panchito's guitar and smashes it to the ground to ensure the idea won't happen.
Donald bumping into Storkules
During "Storkules in Duckburg," Donald sees the opportunity to make extra money by renting out the spare bedroom in his houseboat due to the boys moving to their own room in the Manor. After stealing one of Scrooge's chandeliers to make the room look more appealing, he accidentally runs into Storkules while on the boat. Although Donald demands he leaves because of his new roommate arriving soon, he is horrified to realize that Storkules himself is his new roommate after noticing his belongings on top of the boat.
Donald realizing Storkules was his new roommate
When Donald asks Storkules why he's in Duckburg, Storkules explains that because of his idling hobbies, his father Zeus grew agitated with him and launched a hail of creatures known as Harpies on Maceduckia out of rage. As punishment for Storkules' childish acting, Zeus threw him out of Greece while ordering him to become more of a responsible adult. With Storkules considering Donald to be the most responsible person he knows, he decided to come to Duckburg to learn more from him, much to Donald's displeasure.
Donald noticing the fire Storkules started
The next morning, Donald is awoken to the sounds of an explosion coming from the kitchen. When he goes to check it out, he immediately notices flames around the kitchen counter with Storkules attempting to put them out. Storkules defends his actions by saying when he activated the stove, a large hissing sound came out of it (flames and smoke). Believing that a foe filled it with dangerous monsters, he pulled the Stove out from the wall and threw it outside the boat. Donald begins to reach his breaking point and decides to set some ground rules between him and Storkules, by showing him a list of rules he must follow as the role of a roommate. One of the rules Donald points out is paying the rent on time, but although Storkules assumes he can pay with his friendship, Donald blatantly writes on the rule list "friendship isn't money".
Louie sneaking into Donald's room
Donald suggests to Storkules that he finds himself a job, but while he's saying that they notice a swarm of Harpies flying close to the Manor. Storkules moves to keep them away from the Manor, while Donald shouts out to him about the rule of no pets on the boat either. Meanwhile, Louie, Webby, and Huey hire Storkules to be the catcher for their new Harp-be-gone business, but Donald is not aware that the Harpies Storkules has been apprehending are being stored in his bedroom closet. However, one night after Louie realized his business was in danger because there were no more Harpies left to catch, he sneaks into Donald's room while he is asleep with the idea of letting the captured Harpies roam free again.
Donald about to open the closet
However, Storkules catches Louie in the act just as he is about to let them out. During their minor conversation, Donald is eventually woken up while Storkules and Louie struggle to convince him to go back to sleep. But when Donald notices the Harpies inside his closet, Louie attempts to shrug it off as a pet he wants to keep, but he was not aware of Donald's no pets rule for the houseboat. This leads Donald to willingly open the closet door, and thus lets the Harpies loose as they begin swarming the manor. As angry as Donald is with Storkules, he still decides to deal with the Harpies situation himself.
Storkules saving Donald
Even so, when Storkules shouts to Donald that their friendship is the one thing he loves most, this leads the Harpies to steal the boat and fly away with Donald still on board (considering Harpies prey on anything people love most). In order to save Donald, Storkules uses his super jumping ability while taking Louie with him to jump onto the houseboat still in the air. Just as Donald is about to fall from the boat while barely hanging onto the rudder, Storkules manages to reach out and grab him right when he slips. Instead of staying angry at Storkules, Donald hugs him as a way of thanking him for saving his life.
Donald, Louie and Storkules returning to the manor
Donald then assists Louie in throwing all the Harp-be-gone merchandise he stored on the boat, as the merchandise attract the Harpies which leads them to lower the boat back down to the mansion. While returning home, Storkules expresses how he isn't noble enough to remain roommates with Donald. Although Donald isn't intending to stay roommates with him either, he is willing to help Storkules find an apartment somewhere in Duckburg, much to Storkules' delight.
Donald setting up decorations
On Christmas night in "Last Christmas," Donald is seen decorating the lawn and inflating snowmen while singing Christmas carols to himself. However, Scrooge comes outside and demands Donald to take the decorations down. While Donald believes Scrooge's lawn is the perfect spot for a winter wonderland, Scrooge reminds him that he has a pilot who can't tell the difference between Christmas lights and landing lights. As Donald then notices a plane coming straight for him, he rushes to take all the decorations down, but ties himself up with the Christmas lights in the process as a crashing sound is heard soon after.
Dewey feeling down
Donald later barges into Dewey's room to get him into the Christmas spirit, but he notices Dewey trying to hide something under his pillow. When Donald snatches the item away, he realizes it's the family photo of him, Della, Scrooge, and the triplets while they were still eggs. Knowing that Dewey's feeling down for spending another Christmas without his mother, Donald decides to let him be, while also feeling upset on the way out.
Everyone singing Christmas carols together
Later that night, Scrooge and Dewey return from their time travel adventures and introduces Donald and the other Manor inhabitants to the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Dewey then approaches Donald for a hug with Donald welcoming him back from his trip, leaving Dewey to wonder if Donald remembers what happened the Christmas night Dewey ran into him as a pre-teen. The two then join in with the rest of the group in singing Christmas carols for the remainder of the night.
Donald crying over Scrooge's supposed death
A while after in "The 87 Cent Solution," Donald is seen helping Gyro experiment on the security systems in the Money bin. In most of the footage, Donald is seen being knocked down by numerous booby traps Gyro had set up for burglar emergencies. Afterwards, Donald is seen crying on Scrooge's casket after his supposed death from "golden fever," while shouting how too young he was and runs away from sadness. But when he returns, he sees Scrooge in front of him alive and well, leading him to faint and for Louie to realize he forgot to tell Donald about the setup to get Glomgold to confess his time freezing scheme.
The Departure From Earth[]
Donald witnessing the dead rising
Later on in "The Golden Spear," years of adventure begins to molt Donald's feathers to the point where they will fall off from stress. to prevent further damage, Donald decides to take is easy one afternoon and rests on a prescription hammock meant for stress relief. But as he's calmly reading a book, Huey and Webby interrupt Donald's rest because they want to ask him for his old VCR to watch a video of the Necronomicon set. Huey tries to lower Donald's worries by claiming there was nothing supernatural happening with the video. nevertheless, a few moments later zombies begin to rise from the ground just as Donald was getting comfortable again, forcing him to run off.
Donald having trouble with sleeping
While the zombies are chasing Huey and Webby, Donald also struggles to defend them as he uses a chainsaw to try killing the zombies, but their split limbs continue to move on their own nonetheless. Huey then uses a reverse spell from his Junior Woodchuck Guidebook to send the dead back underground, but Donald loses most of his head feathers due to a zombie's arm still stuck to his head. Donald begins to get further paranoid over the adventurous distractions, as he then makes his way to his houseboat to rest better. However, he is once again interrupted after Dewey arrives with flying shoes, and Storkules appearing in front of him while explaining Dewey's journey on becoming the messenger of the gods.
Donald running into Storkules once again
Unfortunately, Zeus is displeased with Dewey's new status, as he begins reigning lighting around the houseboat while declaring war on Dewey himself. Dewey assures Donald that everything is going to be alright, but Donald is then struck with a bolt of lightning while collapsing into the pool as more feathers continue to fall off him. As Donald is about to attack Zeus with Storkules using his hammock as a slingshot, he originally attempts to back out, but decides to go through with it once realizing Zeus is about to attack Dewey. Eventually, the battle is won and Storkules decides to give him further words of bravery, but Donald ignores him and quickly walks away with his hammock, telling himself everything was still fine.
Donald's stress increasing
Donald then decides to sneak into Scrooge's bedroom closet for some peace, only for Scrooge to come in and find not only Donald, But also Louie who was searching Scrooge's clothing for spare change, and a mysterious goat standing in between them. The goat then speaks and clarifies his form only acting as terrestrial, and that the laws of man don't apply in the ethereal realm of Goatoom, a nether world of untold treasures. Much to Scrooge and Louie's excitement, they enter the portal to the realm, with Donald forcibly being sucked into the portal along with them. Eventually they return, but Donald's mental state has now become increasingly agonizing to the point where he then curls up in a ball from his constant inability to rest.
Scrooge and the kids gifting Donald a month long cruise
Dewey, Webby and Huey then barge into the room asking Donald for assistance on their next adventures, but Donald instead ignores them all while taking his hammock and slowly leaving the room, believing now everything is not fine. He then returns to his houseboat and decides to throw the hammock away, realizing its ineffectiveness in stress relief. But just then, Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, and Storkules enter the room and surprise Donald with a month-long cruise in the Caribbean for him to finally relax. Although Donald is hesitant with leaving the kids behind, Huey assures him they have an entire family now to keep them safe. Scrooge then tells him to have a relaxing time (especially since the cruise is non-refundable), and the kids give him a farewell hug for safe travels.
Donald unsuccessfully attempting to leave the Spear of Selene
However, that evening while Donald is waiting at the bus stop with his luggage, he notices a rocket ship crashing to the ground nearby and immediately recognizes it as the Spear of Selene. When he runs over to the crash site, he calls for his sister Della numerous times as he then boards the ship to look for her. But when climbing back up to the cockpit, he accidentally lands his hand on a button that initiates a relaunch sequence for the rocket. Donald desperately tries to exit the ship before the relaunch begins, but to no avail, as he and the ship are sent flying into the sky.
Donald captured by the Moonlanders
Immediately after in "Nothing Can Stop Della Duck," Donald is still trapped within the Spear of Selene freaking out over his predicament, as he and the ship make its way into orbit. Eventually, the rocket starts to spiral out of control and crash-lands on the Moon. When Donald escapes from the rocket, he luckily manages to find a pack of Gyro's Oxy-Chew gum invention that allows him to breathe in space. Suddenly, he is approached by two aliens pointing weapons at him named Gibbous and Zenith, who are inhabitants of the Moon from a race known as the Moonlanders. Donald claims to have come in peace, but neither Gibbous or Zenith can understand him due to his natural voice. However, General Lunaris of the Moonlanders approaches Donald, as he then orders the soldiers to seize him.
Lunaris placing a strap on Donald to keep him from talking
Sometime after the crash in "What Ever Happened to Donald Duck," Donald is held as both a captive and example of motivation for Lunaris during his speech to his fellow Moonlanders. He makes them believe Donald is a supposed spy that was captured and admitted the Earth's plan to invade them. Lunaris then places a golden strap on Donald's beak to keep him from telling the truth, much to Donald's annoyance as he attempts to slip it off using his feet. Meanwhile, Lunaris places a badge on Moonlander soldier Penumbra, and promotes her to captain for supposedly first figuring out Earth's plans to invade through Donald and Della.
Donald stuck in the Tranquility prison
Donald is then transported to the Tranquility prison while witnessing the construction of golden rocket ships, designed similarly to the Spear of Selene through Della's rocket manual. While inside his cell and with the guards gone, Donald intends to break out of the prison by bashing his head into the rock wall, causing minor cracks. But as Lunaris and Penumbra are making their way towards Donald's cell, he attempts to cover the cracks up with a nearby poster in his cell. However, Lunaris instead decides to order Penumbra to transport Donald over to the gold mines for labor duty, where hopefully it will break Donald's spirit of any attempts to escape. Once Lunaris leaves and Penumbra opens the cell, Donald tries to maneuver his way around her, but to no avail.
Donald and Penumbra making their way towards Lunaris' private hangar
Eventually, Penumbra pins Donald to the wall and admits her acquaintance relationship with his sister, as well as her awareness of Lunaris' lies. Knowing that neither of them want the invasion to happen, Penumbra believes that considering Donald is of the same family who built the rocket ship, he has a good chance of finding a certain weakness to the ships that can deactivate them for good. Although Donald had no idea how to find it, Penumbra mistakes his shaking head as an Earth yes. They then begin walking over to Lunaris' private hangar to find the rocket ship's blueprints, but are soon noticed by Gibbous and Zenith along the route.
Donald and the Moon bug
As a cover story, Penumbra states she was merely sparring with Donald as practice for the invasion, much to Gibbous and Zenith's delight as they then take turns punching Donald. As they continue making their way down the hall, Penumbra orders Donald to take the small tunnel system to the hangar to avoid being further spotted by other soldiers, as she claims she will meet him there. As Donald makes his way through the tunnel system, he is forced to crawl away from a Moon bug approaching him. While doing so, he accidentally drops through a hole that brings him into the Soldier's barracks while they're all asleep.
Donald alerting the Moonlander Soldiers
Donald carefully maneuvers his way around the room without waking anyone up, but the bug from earlier makes its way into the room as well. This leads Donald to soothing all the soldiers the bug is crawling around to keep them asleep, but as soon as the bug crawls on Donald himself, he shrieks and alerts the entire room. Luckily, Donald's spasms to the bug crawling around him also allows him to defeat all the soldiers, as Penumbra arrives and is impressed at Donald's ability to handle himself. Donald and Penumbra then make their way into the hangar, and as Donald is about to lean on part of the wall, he accidentally falls through it, revealing that Lunaris has a secret war room hidden with the Moonlander's holographic technology.
Donald and Penumbra searching through Lunaris's invasion plans
Penumbra proceeds to analyze the computer's information, as the entire room then fills up with hologram screens containing photos of inhabitants from Earth, including Donald's entire family. Penumbra realizes that Lunaris has already been prepping an invasion since before Della even arrived on the Moon, and that he observantly identified anyone or any place among Earth he deemed a threat to the invasion. They then stumble upon a control system used for a machine centered in the room, where it reveals Lunaris had already attempted to create rockets of his own, which Penumbra believes is the real reason Lunaris wanted Della's manual in the first place.
Donald attempting to flee from Lunaris
Just then, a screen pops up of Roxanne Featherly giving a live news report, which allows Penumbra to discover a transmission device. She decides to give the device to Donald and orders him to get to the highest point to warn Earth about the looming invasion, but is suddenly electrocuted by the badge Lunaris placed on her earlier, and falls to the ground unconscious. Lunaris himself arrives, as Donald nevertheless continues to make his way on top of the machine to send the message. However, Lunaris stands in his way to stop him from making it to the top, forcing Donald to try and fight his way there.
Donald in his rage form against Lunaris
Unfortunately, Donald's hits are futile, as Lunaris then begins to gloat by explaining how instead of attacking his smart, tough and sharp Uncle Scrooge first, he intends to eliminate his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie first to break Scrooge's spirit. With Donald growing furious at the idea of Lunaris putting harm onto his nephews, he commences into his rage form and puts up a decent fight against Lunaris. Even so, despite Donald's efforts, Lunaris still manages to outmaneuver him, but this distracts him long enough for Donald to swift by him with the transmission device to send a message to Earth.
Donald initiating the launch sequence to Lunaris' test rocket
Donald decides to send the message to Scrooge by saying the invasion is going to be around a month from then, and that he'll be back home soon. Just as the message is sent, Lunaris snatches the device from Donald and breaks it to prevent any further communication to Earth. In order to escape from the Moon, Donald slides down the machine and into one of Lunaris' test rockets, where he is forced to initiate launch to avoid Lunaris capturing him once again. However, during takeoff as Donald is entering the Earth's orbit, he begins to feel immense pressure due to the increasing speed of the rocket, but motivates himself through his nephews' safety to stay strong during the ride. Meanwhile on Earth, Scrooge receives Donald's message but is unable to understand the warning due to the poor reception. At which time, Donald's rocket is seen flying across Duckburg for a short time, unknown to Scrooge or anyone else.
Family Reunion[]
Donald and Della furious for not knowing where one another had been
A couple of months later in "Moonvasion," it is revealed that Donald survived the ride on the rocket, but had crash-landed on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere with no communication or transportation to the outside world. In order to survive, Donald spent most of his time eating sand and drinking seawater, while also growing a beard and imagining himself a friend made out of watermelon he dubbed Melon. But one day, he discovers the Sunchaser had also just crash-landed onto the island. Upon further inspection, he discovers Webby, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Della were aboard the plane during the crash as he notices them leaving the wreckage. Donald is most surprised to see Della among them, as with Della discovering Donald, after having been away from one another for over eleven years. but as they approach one another, they both grow furious and demand to know where the other has been.
A long overdue reunion and hug
Della states that if he was still home when she got back he would've known that she had been stuck on the Moon, while also adding that the Moon was currently invading Earth. Donald then states his awareness of the invasion beforehand, which is why he sent a warning to them during his own time on the Moon, but Della claims they never received his warning. Dewey initially tries to break up the fight, but then tackles Donald to the ground after previously realizing he was supposed to be named Turbo by Della, but Donald instead decided to name him Dewey. Although the fighting between Della and Donald continues, eventually they both angrily state how much they missed each other, and make up with a tearful hug.
Donald, Della, Melon and the kids joining in on a group hug
However, Della and the others begin to get a little freaked out after witnessing Donald mimic his voice through Melon. Melon then explains Donald's mysterious whereabouts by stating his escape from the Moon with the assistance of Penumbra, along with his hard lifestyle while on the island. Although Donald believes his family had been searching for him the whole time, in actuality they believed until now he had been taking an extended stay on the cruise he was supposed to go on. Even so, Donald knows the best option is to go back to Duckburg to help Scrooge, after learning how big of a threat Lunaris is from the time he spent on the Moon fighting him.
Della kicking Melon into the ocean out of anger
Della, on the other hand, disagrees, believing the best idea is to stay as far away from the Moonlanders as possible to keep each other safe. Later, Della attempts to convince everyone they should just stay and live on the island, but everyone else takes into consideration of the danger themselves and Earth are in, while also adding that they may as well be living on the Moon. Although Della herself also begins to lose it, once she realizes it is her lifestyle on the Moon all over again, she kicks Melon far into the ocean out of anger, much to Donald's surprise.
Donald admitting he sang Della's lullaby to the boys every night
While Della is alone and upset at herself in the plane wreckage, Louie tries to cheer her up by recalling an old song he's known since he was little. Della then realizes the song is the same lullaby she used to sing to them before they hatched, as Donald approaches them and adds that he used to sing that song to the triplets every night when they were young. This motivates Della enough to face the unknown together as a family, but she is still unsure about how to get back to Duckburg. Just then, Della and Donald's cousins Fethry and Gladstone arrive on the island as they are riding on top of Fethry's sea creature friend Mitzy.
Donald and the others departing on Mitzy back to Duckburg
Gladstone explains that just before the invasion happened, a gust of wind luckily blew his Gladyear Blimp away from the city and along the ocean, which allowed him to meet up with Fethry. During which time, he discovered a trail of melons around the ocean which lead them to the island Donald and the others are currently on, but Donald is appalled to see that the watermelon Gladstone is eating is his imaginary friend Melon. Nevertheless, everyone boards Mitzy (with Donald now fully shaved) and they make their way back to Duckburg to help stop the invasion.
Donald and the family arriving to disable the rocket ship
Back in Duckburg, Scrooge and his remaining allies are attempting to disable Lunaris' mothership to stop it from orbiting around the Moon, fast enough that it would inevitably freeze the entire planet. Although Scrooge and his group aren't able to defeat Lunaris in a fistfight, Donald and the others arrive in the nick of time to help disable to ship. With the help of Launchpad who had slingshot into the ship and messed with the controls, Mitzy is able to break apart one of the legs keeping the ship stable, forcing Lunaris to flee with the ship back into space.
Scrooge showing his anger towards Donald's arrival from him supposed relaxing trip, not knowing where he's truly been
Once the ship is out of sight, Donald climbs down from Mitzy to greet Scrooge. However, Scrooge is initially angry at Donald for not giving him his assistance during the invasion, believing he had been loathing around on the vacation cruise the entire time he was gone. Just as Donald's about to lose his temper with Scrooge, the hand and face gestures Della and the kids are giving behind Donald's back act as a signal to Scrooge saying that it wasn't the case. Just then, Lunaris turns his ship back around to head for Earth, while announcing that if the Earth won't live in fear of the Moon, then they'll die in fear of it.
The family preparing to stop Lunaris
In order to stop Lunaris from destroying the Earth, a small group consisting of Donald, Della, Scrooge, Webby, Huey, Dewey, and Louie board a nearby unguarded invasion ship and make their way into space to destroy the engine to Lunaris' mothership once and for all. As they approach the mothership and begin taking fire from Lunaris, Scrooge acts as the commander of the ship, Dewey and Louie fire the lasers while Huey and Webby aim, and Donald and Della continue to fight over which one will take control over the ship's movement. Although Donald believes to be the better pilot because of his sailing skills, Della proves otherwise and is favoured to be the better controller because of her piloting skills and previous rocket trips.
Donald and Della unable to find an angle out of Lunaris' surprise attack
Although the size difference is not in their favour, the group manages to put up a sufficient amount of damage on Lunaris' blasters for the first couple of strikes on his ship. Della then flies the ship towards the back of the mothership's rocket engine, hoping to place the final blow on disabling the ship's power supply. However, this turns out to be a trap by Lunaris, as he then activates hidden lasers centered around the mothership's rocket engine. This forces Della to move in closer to the rocket engine, as every time she tries to move elsewhere from the ship, their rocket would only get further damaged. With no angle out and their weapons disabled, Lunaris increases the power on the mothership's engine to place enough heat on the group's rocket that will soon cause it to explode.
Della introducing Donald to Penumbra again
But just as Lunaris is about to proclaim victory over the family, he receives an alert that another ship is heading straight for his own. It is then revealed Penumbra had taken the original Spear of Selene from the Moon, as she then flies it into the mothership's engine, causing it to explode. Luckily Penumbra survives the explosion, as she ends up flying straight into the glass screen of the group's ship. Della originally wants to introduce her to her family (including Donald whom she already met), but realizes she has to let her into the ship before she slips away from the screen.
Everyone celebrating together after the victory over Lunaris
With Lunaris' ship now disabled, Goddess of the Moon Selene informs him of his new role as the Earth's newest Moon (much to his dismay), while her brother Storkules proceeds to move the Earth using his super strength back into orbit. Meanwhile, Donald and the others crash-land their invasion rocket back onto Earth right in front of McDuck Manor. The Moonlanders then make peace with all the inhabitants of Duckburg after realizing their leader's true intentions, as Donald and the rest of the family witness the citizens being uncuffed and acting civil with the other Moonlanders. When Donald and Della are asked by Louie what they should do now, Della then hugs Donald and the kids while claiming she wasn't sure herself, but whatever it is they will do it together.
"If the McDuck family wants an adventure, we'll give them their last."
Donald then joins in with everyone else on the group shot standing alongside Della, unaware he and everyone else are being watched by another looming threat.
New friends and new threats[]
Della explaining to Webby why Donald was kicked out of the Junior Woodchucks
Once everything calmed down eventually with the Moonlander invasion, Donald and most of the McDuck Manor inhabitants participate in Huey's Junior Woodchuck ceremony in "Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks." During the ceremony, Webby asks Della why Donald isn't wearing his own Woodchuck uniform, with Della stating he was kicked out due to his bad temper towards nature. Simultaneously, Donald is seen trying to angrily swat away a mosquito flying around him, which only leads him to get tangled with the camera belt he's wearing.
Donald and the family embarking on a treasure hunt
In the aftermath of the ceremony, Della is seen attempting to untangle Donald from the belt, as the both of them make their way to the starting line of a challenge to see if Huey or Violet will be crowned Senior Woodchuck. Once the challenge starts and Huey and Violet begin their path to the finish line, Donald follows Scrooge, Della, Louie, Dewey, and Webby on a different route after Scrooge recently discovered a hidden treasure map on a portrait of legendary adventurer Isabella Finch. Along the path and as Donald is still being pestered by the same mosquito, the group runs into a mysterious bird who suddenly begins making strange movements as if it were dancing.
Della trying to calm Donald down during the storm
While Dewey enjoys mimicking the bird's movements, Donald eventually becomes too irritated by the mosquito and runs off on a different path away from where the treasure map is telling them to go. In the end, everyone including the bird ends up following Donald, but they are soon forced to hide beneath a large log due to a sudden storm involving electric rain. While Scrooge is explaining to them about the lightning rain of Chimpopo, Della aims to convince Donald that nature's not as bad as he thinks, but she fails at doing so due to throwing a tantrum after getting electrocuted by some of the rain drops.
Donald and the others unsure which way the bird went
Soon after, the bird appears once again as it then directs the rest of the group through a hole in the log and onto another path. Once they reach the end of the log, the bird continues to lead them to a large tree with a small entrance to a cave in between the roots. While Donald is still trying to shoo away the mosquito swarming around him, a Nandi Bear suddenly shows up, distracting Scrooge long enough for the bird to steal his map, and causing the group to chase after it into the cave. During the chase, they come across three separate tunnels with Donald and the others unsure as to which tunnel the bird flew into.
Donald and the others accidentally finding the finish line
Scrooge begins to get agitated that they're being pushed away from the adventure they were already on due to the loss of the map, but Webby believes adventure isn't about following the same path, it's about trying new things and going off the map. Eventually, Scrooge decides to mimic the bird's sound and movement, which allows the group to hear the bird's chirping coming from the right tunnel. To their surprise, however, the bird chase ends up leading the group directly to the finish line of Huey and Violet's challenge. They then take a seat in the audience to hear the winner of the challenge, but to their surprise, Huey is revealed to have lost the challenge.
The family discovering the secret compartment
Nevertheless, Huey is able to accept his defeat positively as he and everyone else applaud Violet for her victory. Afterwards, Huey recognizes the chirping and singing of the bird Donald and the group were chasing. He believes it to be the Tittertwill Bird of Knowledge, the legendary mascot of the Junior Woodchucks and descended from the personal pet of Isabella Finch. The bird then bumps itself onto a nearby metal Woodchuck symbol, where the symbol suddenly twists and opens a secret compartment from inside the rocks.
Donald failing to swat away the mosquito once again
Dewey then realizes the bird wasn't distracting him and the group, but instead it was leading them to Isabella Finch's treasure. When Scrooge looks inside the compartment, he discovers a small box containing Isabella's lost adventure journal. Knowing that her journals contain resourceful information, Huey believes the journal can help them discover some of the greatest lost mysteries of all time. While Scrooge and the rest of the gang show their excitement for new adventures to come, it is revealed the mosquito bothering Donald the entire time is actually a mechanical spy bug being controlled and watched with by F.O.W.L. agents.
Donald and Huey preparing for the family photo
Afterwards in "Quack Pack!," Donald and Huey are seen re-entering the mansion as Huey is going over a list for a prepared family photo, while Donald is carrying all the supplies in for the shoot. Although Dewey enters the room and claims he has his own plans for the photo, Huey disregards his plans and reminds him that Donald wishes to have just one normal photo for once. After a few more interactions with other household members, Huey begins to feel unsure about his surroundings. When he asks Donald if he also thinks something doesn't feel right, Donald replies to him in a perfectly normal voice that everything seems normal enough to him.
Donald frustrated with the study room's poor state
After the Quack Pack intro, Huey questions Donald's sudden change of voice, with Donald merely pushing it off as a lack of sleep and increased stress with his planned photo for reasoning. The two then decide to go check on the study room for the photo shoot, but to their surprise the room is in very poor shape even though Scrooge claimed he did some repairing for the room earlier. Della then suggests to Donald they just find another room to shoot the photo, but Donald refuses by claiming the lighting in the room is the perfect spot within the mansion.
Dewey having given Donald a new hairstyle
As Donald continues to panic over the imperfection of the photo, Dewey enters the room and invites Donald for a scalp massage and haircut for the photo. The two are then seen together in the kitchen as Dewey proceeds to massage his head. Although Donald is comfortable at first, he soon realizes Dewey actually has no true experience in massaging nor hairstyling, aside from what he saw on the internet. Huey then bursts into the room, claiming that something strange is going on around the house, as Dewey simultaneously shows him the hairstyle he perfected for both him and Donald.
Donald having shaved his head and noticing Webby looking for a meat tenderizer
Suddenly, a mysterious laughter only Huey can hear is heard, only for mysterious music to be played as well, and the lights suddenly fading while Dewey and Donald remain oblivious to what's happening. Due to Huey's sudden bursts of anxiety, Donald decides to take care of the rest of the photo duties himself as Huey then storms off. With Dewey also having left the room, Donald is seen shaving the entire upper part of his head to get rid of the mohawk style created by Dewey. Webby then enters the kitchen and attempts to act innocent while grabbing a meat tenderizer and walking out of the room with it.
Donald running into Goofy
Suddenly, Goofy arrives through another door and admits he came to borrow some ketchup from the mansion's fridge. Goofy then notices Donald's slumped state and asks him what the problem is, as Donald expresses his frustration about the big family photo and how the photographer is nowhere to be found. Goofy then states he has to leave to go work at the photography studio, which Donald then happily suggests to Goofy he can help since he's a photographer. Goofy, however, doesn't quite understand what he's saying at first, so instead he decides to leave to get one of his co-workers to help with the photo shoot.
Donald and the others gathering in the garage
Moments later, Goofy re-enters the room and volunteers to help with the photo since he's a photographer, much to Donald's aggravation. Suddenly, Donald and goofy hear a crash in one of the rooms, as they leave the kitchen to check on the loud noise. They soon arrive in the room along with all the other household members, Launchpad's band, and the photographer Webby had tied up earlier. Once looking up, Donald is horrified to witness there is now a hole above them that leads to the study room, as he now believes the photo is ruined.
Everyone other than Donald stroking their chins
Della then shouts to Donald and the rest of the group about their TV show predicament, as Huey begins to think about why they're in this situation in the first place considering they're supposed to be adventuring. When Louie suggests they pick up their tracks from before this morning, Donald instead claims Louie simply learned a lesson about honesty after he accidentally broke Della's favorite vase. Dewey then strokes his chin while trying to remember what happened, when suddenly everything goes fuzzy, leading Huey to realize they need a flashback sequence. He then suggests everyone to tilt their heads and strokes their chins to try and remember what happened, with Donald being the only one hesitant in doing so.
Donald and the others noticing the lamp shooting out the genie
The flashback shows Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Donald, Della, Beakley, and Launchpad inside of a cave on top a large statue, as they try to fend off a hoard of scorpions approaching them. They were searching for a magic lamp that was informed to them by Isabella Finch's lost journal, as they continued to stop the scorpions from climbing up to reach them. Meanwhile Donald, panicking behind everyone's backs, wished that he and his family can simply have normal family problems. Suddenly, a lamp began floating up in front of him as a genie then shot out and granted him his wish, ending the flashback.
Donald after being revealed as the one responsible
All eyes are then pointed on Donald after realizing he was the one responsible for their imprisoned state. When Louie questions Donald about his reasoning, Donald reveals he constantly wishes for his family to be normal, and that it was a sheer coincidence a magic lamp was beside him when saying it this time. It is also soon revealed that the photographer Webby tied up is actually the genie who granted Donald's wish, as the genie then introduces himself as Gene.
Gene stating how he's merely carrying out the wish Donald requested
Scrooge demands from Gene to release them from the world they're imprisoned in, but Gene refuses, claiming he's merely carrying out the wish Donald requested for a normal family. However, Gene's view of a "normal family" is proven to be inaccurate because he's had no recent learnings of the present world, due to having been stuck inside the lamp ever since the year 1990. Nevertheless, Gene states he is unable to bring everything back to normal unless his new master Donald wishes for it, as Donald still has two wishes left.
Donald storming out of the room
Donald, however, believes the world isn't as bad as they make it out to be considering the problems they face aren't catastrophically dangerous, and at the end of the day everything is resolved without anyone getting hurt, captured, or lost. Regardless, Huey believes that's simply not who they are because they love the spirit of adventure, travelling the world, and defying danger. Angered, Donald storms out of the room with Goofy following him and proceeds to continue with setting up the family photo he's wanted to do from the start.
Goofy showing Donald his family photos
Later in the study, Donald persistently tries to clean up the room as best as he can, believing the rest of the family to be having a better time than him, and likely won't be joining him for the photo. Goofy thinks they may just be a little mad at him, but Donald doesn't understand why it's so hard for him and his family to be like other families. Goofy, however, believes the best photos are ones that aren't staged, as he then shows Donald a handful of photos of him and his son Max in an odd turn of events at an amusement park.
Donald noticing the trouble his family's in
All of the photos were taken at unexpecting times, but the moral is they reminded them of memories they love and cherish between one another. Donald then wonders if it really is wrong for wanting to be normal, but Goofy believes every family has their own definition of being normal. Donald then decides to go and reconcile with his family, but as soon as he enters the same room as them, he is shocked at the sight of talking creatures he's never seen before. Even so, after a brief pause, Donald joins in on the fight and everyone fights together to stop the creatures from defeating them.
Donald and the family now released from the wish
As the fighting continues, Donald eventually spots the lamp on the chandelier above them, as Goofy is then jabbed with sharp nails from behind, instinctively shooting him into the air and grabbing onto the chandelier. This causes the lamp to slide off, as Donald manages to catch it and immediately wishes to undo his previous wish. Gene accepts his command, as he then returns Donald and the rest of the family back to the same cave where Donald wished for his first wish. The scorpions then back off, as Donald and the family realize they're back to normal when Dewey tries to say "something funny Dewey," and there is no background laughs to be heard this time.
Donald smiling at the framed photo he wished for with the boys
Donald is also returned to his natural voice, while the family also discover Goofy in a corner of the cave, as they realize Goofy was actually real the entire time. Gene then appears in front of Donald, reminding him he still has one more wish he can grant him. Later back at Donald's houseboat, Huey, Dewey, and Louie watch Donald place a frame on his wall, with the frame containing a photo of Donald and his family together while fighting off the creatures created by the wish. Louie expresses his frustration with Donald for "wasting" a wish on such a small thing when he could've wish for something much bigger. Nevertheless, Huey claims he likes it with Donald himself believing it to be perfect.
Donald and the family witnessing the mermaids
Donald soon accompanies the family once more on another adventure trip under sea during "The Lost Harp of Mervana." He and Della are seen co-piloting the submarine together while making their way towards Mervana, a lost city said to be the location of a mystical artifact known as The Lost Harp of Mervana. During the ride, they notice Mervana mermaids swimming towards an entrance as everyone but Della are mesmerized by them. Afterwards, Donald and the family gear up into their scuba diving suits and make their introductions to the mer-people, who introduce themselves as Aletheia and Vero. They then state that Mervana is a place free of suffering, but Scrooge disagrees, believing suffering can build character.
Donald and the family learning about Mervana history
As the family pursue their aquatic adventure among the other mermaids, Aletheia and Vero explain to them how the citizens of Mervana believe in finding your own truth, in which you would then give up all your belongings in order to live peacefully beneath the sea. Although Scrooge expresses irritation towards their beliefs, they soon arrive in the main cave of Mervana. They then share some history about King Honestus, and how although they grew to adapt to both land and sea life, Honestus led the citizens of Mervana underwater to escape the troubling conflicts of land living.
Donald and the family playing the drums
When Louie questions Honestus' current whereabouts, Aletheia claims he one day left to find his own "truth" and never returned, as it's believed by his fellow mermaids he became one with the ocean. In his honor, Vero states the Mervanan's continue to seek out their own truth and those who are proven worthy can learn all of Mervana's secrets. Soon after, Donald, Scrooge, Huey, and Dewey begin to play soft drum beats on bongos, as Vero soon shows them where to make their ceremonial fins. Once finished, Vero and Alethia end up being the most impressed by Donald's fin, believing him to be showing the most of his true self.
Dewey calling to Donald for help
Scrooge continues his attempts at living truthfully to learn about Mervana's secrets, but when asked by Vero to give up all of his worldly possessions, Scrooge refuses, believing the idea of giving up all your hard earned work to be complete nonsense. But to Scrooge's surprise, Vero and Aletheia are impressed by his statement and accept him into Mervana, believing he's now found his own truth. Suddenly Louie then shouts to everyone in the main cave that a sea creature is coming, but is too late as the monster then leaps into the air and begins attacking the mermaids. Desperate to slow the monster down, Dewey attempts to convince Donald he should reveal his anger side, but Donald is still stuck in a trance of finding his own peace and truth.
Donald in rage mode
However, once Dewey tells Donald that his famous chili is just okay, Donald immediately grows furious and manages to headbutt the sea creature back into the ocean. As the sea creature begins to close in on the harp and the rest of the family, the mermaids assist in the battle and manage to fend off the monster long enough for the family to flee back into the cave. However, the harp gives away their location when asked by the sea creature, leading to another chase through the caves, but luckily they manage to get back to the tower before it arrives.
Donald jumping from the tower
Suddenly, the sea creature then begins hitting the walls of Mervana, weakening the structure further and causing numerous debris to fall into the sea. Once the family make their way to the top of the tower, they then dive into the sea in order to get to the beach for safety. While the tower continues to fall apart and the family swims towards the beach with the help of the mermaids, the sea creature soon crashes through the tower wall and catches up to them. Just as it's jaws open up preparing to strike, a large debris from the top of the tower falls straight onto the sea creature, dragging it deep beneath the sea.
Everyone now ashore
Once the harp and the family make it ashore, the Mervanan's also manage to transform their fins into legs for the land, but unsurprisingly have trouble remaining stable at first as most of them collapse on the ground. Out of nowhere, the bruised sea creature returns once again, but Della manages to arrive just in time to kick the monster away from everyone. Suddenly with the sea creature now on land for long enough, he transforms back into his true self as Honestus. The harp then belittles Honestus for continuously trying to stay away from his problems, and the only way to fix the city of Mervana now is with true hard work. Believing their work to be done in Mervana, the family make their way back into the submarine to go home, as Scrooge remarks the harp to be back where it belongs for the sake of the mermaids and their attitude towards hard work.
Donald, José and Panchito performing for Scrooge
Donald later joins José Carioca and Panchito Pistoles in "Louie's Eleven" to get famous by offering a small showcase to Scrooge. However, the presentation not only ends in failure due to the Caballeros fighting over the microphone, but also Scrooge's displeasure in the fact that they're presenting to him while he's trying to have a bath. This ultimately leads to Scrooge calling for Duckworth to throw the Caballeros out of the mansion. Frustrated that every other wealthy person they've been to have rejected them, Donald believes they simply need someone who will listen to them.
Dewey and Louie explaining to the caballeros about the IT-list
Suddenly from a nearby vase, Louie approaches the three with a plan that can get them famous, as long as they will listen to his orders no matter the cost. Although Donald is hesitant on the offer, José and Panchito immediately agree and thus roping Donald in as well. Soon after in the triplet's room, Louie explains to the three that the fastest way to fame is by getting on the IT-list owned by Emma Glamour. Dewey then bumps in on the conversation by stating that whoever gets on the list will become instantly known, while referencing a few of his inspirations from the list including his favorite band and current hairstyle.
Donald unsure about signing Louie's contract
With the Caballeros unsure about how to get onto the list, Louie clarifies that Glamour only shows herself once a year to reveal her IT-list at the Duckburg Museum, with the catch being it's an exclusive event. The Caballeros then realize that if Louie can get them into the party and show off their music talent to Glamour, they can have the chance to impress her before the list is posted online. Louie then reveals his scheme to get into the party he titles "Louie's Eleven", a multi elaborate and person plan that if done right can get the Caballeros inside. However, before Louie proceeds with the plan, he requests that the Caballeros sign a contract which will give Louie half of all the profits the band ever makes, to which Donald is originally against doing, but is once again forced into it by José and Panchito.
Gyro handing the earbud communicators to the group
Louie then starts presenting his scheme with him as the leader, and the caballeros as the talent of the operation. They then make their way to the technician Gyro, who gives Donald and the others earbuds to use for communication during the party, while also trying to act like he's not experimenting the earbuds on them. When they arrive at the museum to analyze the layout through a nearby window, Donald catches his eyes on a lady bossing people around. Louie states her name is Daisy Duck, the party planner who acts as both Glamour's personal assistant and a road block to getting to Glamour.
Donald and the group in disguise
As the gang gets ready to crash the party while waiting in line to enter, Dewey suddenly spots Falcon Graves literally throwing someone believed to be a party crasher out. Surprised that Graves is working security for the party, Dewey recalls the last time he saw Graves, having cost him millions and throwing him off a building. In order to make sure the plan stays in line, Dewey covers his face as DJ Daft Duck, while Donald, José and Panchito also remain inconspicuous by switching hats and wearing sunglasses. With a forged invitation priorly made by Huey for the group and Daisy demanding from afar to keep the line going, Graves allows them into the party.
Donald meeting Daisy for the first time
With everyone now inside and Donald making sure everyone remains calm, the group split up to work on their tasks. Louie then notifies everyone through the earbuds that the Caballeros can't get access to the stage unless they have Daisy's stage pass. As another member of "Louie's Eleven" Jane purposely spills a drink on Daisy's coat, this causes Daisy to step away from Glamour to find a place to clean up, allowing Donald to follow her to the elevator in order to snag the stage pass off of her purse. Once on the elevator, Donald attempts to stall for time by pretending to slip, allowing him to press all the floor buttons.
Donald and Daisy attempting to untangle themselves
Louie continues to explain that Once Donald gets the pass and exits the elevator, another member of "Louie's Eleven" Webby will cut the wire to the elevator to make sure she remains out of the way for the rest of the party. However, as Donald makes an attempt to swipe the pass from Daisy, his sleeve gets caught on the tag, getting them both tangled together from the leather string of Daisy's purse. This also leads to a miscommunication with Louie believing Donald said he got the pass, causing Webby to cut the wire too early and for both Daisy and Donald to now be trapped in the elevator.
Daisy showing her dress to Donald
While trying to get a hold on Louie, Donald accidently shouts he's going to miss his big break to Daisy. After Daisy questions Donald about it, he soon admits his actions on crashing the party, much to her shock and annoyance. Eventually Donald and Daisy manage to untangle from each other, as Daisy is forced to remove her coat due to the spreading stain. Daisy is then revealed to have been wearing a very stylish dress beneath her coat, as Donald compliments her while Daisy notes she made it herself. She then admits she was hoping to impress Glamour with her dress tonight so she could get the chance to be on her IT-list, and that way she could pursue her dream of becoming a real designer rather than a simple assistant.
Donald and Daisy dancing to Donald's singing
She then blames Donald and his band's plan for ruining her chance, though she admits her boss doesn't ever listen to her. Donald acknowledges He can relate to her struggles because people never listen to him either, since they can't understand him due to the way he talks, but Daisy claims she can understand him perfectly. Knowing they are bound to remain stuck in the elevator for a little while longer, Daisy allows Donald to sing her something to let the time go by. He sings her a song he made up known as "Hear My Voice," to which both of them dance along to with Donald's voice being heard in a different and more heartfelt way through Daisy.
Donald and Daisy discovering the hostage situation at the party
This encourages her to snap out of her slump and declare that Glamour will be hearing from both of them tonight. Daisy then manages to lower a roof compartment with a ladder attached to it, as both her and Donald escape from the elevator and make their way back to the party through the ventilation system. However, as they look through an open air vent to view the party from above, they discover that all the party guests are being held hostage by Graves and his goons Hack and Slash Smashnikov, and Gabby McStabberson. They manage to break out and stop the robbery by dropping straight below through the vent to ambush Graves, whilst everyone is distracted by Dewey's terrible yo-yo performance.
Donald coming to Daisy's aid
During the fight, Donald is hit with a fatal blow and now unable to get back up. This infuriates Daisy, as she proceeds to let her rage out on Graves, allowing her to hit him to the ground and smash his head in with a nearby vase. Although Graves is now out cold, Glamour still decides to accuse Daisy of ruining the party, but Donald steps in and angrily states Daisy has actually saved her party now. Glamour is briefly angered, but once she sees not just Donald but Daisy now standing up to her, she is instead impressed with both of them, and even allows Daisy to be on her It-list after looking at her dress.
Donald, José and Panchito getting the chance to perform for the party
Once Falcon and his goons are dealt with by the police, the party resumes back to normal with Donald, José and Panchito now having the chance to perform on stage. Donald then begins to sing the song he sung to Daisy in the elevator once more, as most people other than Dewey, Louie, and Daisy cover their ears from the singing. Dewey then notes how it's unfortunate the Three Caballeros didn't manage to make the IT-list due to Donald's poor singing voice, but Daisy begs to differ, believing she could listen to Donald all night.
Donald tried to erase his name from the board of potential traitors
In "Escape from the ImpossiBin!" after the discovery at St. Canard that F.O.W.L. is back, that it was run by Bradford and they are out to get Scrooge, the Duck Family decides to take extra precautions to take on the evil organization. Mrs. Beakley informs the children that F.O.W.L. was thought to have been destroyed decades previously by S.H.U.S.H. Several possible F.O.W.L. agents are discussed, but none are identified as actual operatives.
Donald fixing the camera at Other Bin
At the manor, Mrs. Beakley assigns Webby to train Huey and Dewey in preparing themselves against a possible attack while she and Donald work on adding maximum defense to the mansion. Huey and Dewey, both wildly unprepared and unable to defend themselves, begin to panic when Webby begins to take the training seriously. Webby continues to humiliate the two of them with her ability to create decoys and alter her voice.
Huey slowly begins to lose his sanity while Dewey simply prepares for the worst as Webby waits to fully attack them. Huey finally convinces himself that there will be no attack and that conquering their fear is the lesson. However, he is immediately proven wrong when Webby attacks them for real. She ropes up Dewey and injures Huey which causes her to halt her attack. Beakley instructs Webby to finish, but she refuses, instead choosing to face Beakley, much to her excitement. However, the fight quickly becomes severe and Webby, Huey and Dewey flee to the roof of the mansion with Beakley in pursuit.
Donald thinks that Beakley gone too far
On the roof, Donald sees his nephews in danger. Angered, Donald follows and tries to convince Beakley to cease her attack, because this is gone too far, but she tells them that she must do everything she can to prepare Webby for F.O.W.L. as she wants to keep her safe. Beakley nearly tumbles off the roof, but Donald, Webby, Huey and Dewey save her.
Donald after saving Beakley
Webby tells her that she can take care of herself and that with her and their friends by their side, they can face anything. Beakley apologizes before she gets a phone message about something and they head to the money bin to investigate.
Donald with his family assemble to take on F.O.W.L. next time
The rest of the Ducks arrive and tell Scrooge to answer his phone, as he has numerous messages from which it became clear that various operatives steal Missing Mysteries previously located by them. Immediately after awareness of this Scrooge decides not to play in defence but to direct attacking against F.O.W.L. and continuing for serch of the remaining Missing Mysteries. The Ducks, feeling empowered by their recent adventure, know that they will do everything they can to beat F.O.W.L.
Donald and Daisy in Storkules's hug
In "New Gods on the Block!" Storkules goes off to see Donald who is on his boat setting up his second date with Daisy.
Donald very alarmed
As she arrives, Storkules begins to coddle the couple; asking Daisy personal things and shoving himself into their conversations. Daisy quickly grows irritated as Storkules fails to realize that he is causing trouble for the couple. Eventually, Storkules tries to use Cupid's arrows on them, but they fall into the pool where Daisy discovers that Donald has been dumping his trash underneath.
Daisy is frustrated by Donald's garbage cleaning methods
She angrily leaves as Donald wallows and Storkules mopes to himself.
Zeus encounters a mopey Storkules and hears of what occurred with him Donald and Daisy. He manipulates his son into releasing the Titan by punching a giant hole in the ground. The Titan and rises and immediately goes for Donald. Daisy, witnessing the event while driving away, turns around. Just as Scrooge is about to leave, he and the rest of the Duck Family rush out to see the commotion.
Daisy and Storkules surprised that Donald is still alive
The Titan devours Donald, angering Daisy who yells that it killed her "boyfriend", making Donald happy who is still inside alive. The Titan quickly devours Selene, Storkules and Zeus while Della and Scrooge argue with one another. Della informs Scrooge that the kids feel bad because he does not thank them or tell them how great they are. Scrooge finally tells the kids that they will never be Gods, but that they are the best team to him and that they can solve anything regardless of having powers or not. As Scrooge and Della get eaten, Daisy confronts the Titan while the kids take the wreath and share it; using their powers to defeat the Titan and releasing their family and friends.
Donald and Daisy kissing
Donald and Daisy share a kiss as Storkules ineptly declares that the three of them will make a great team. Scrooge once again apologizes for not being up front with the kids. Zeus pathetically regains his wreath, tosses a weak thunderbolt at the Titan and kicks it back into the crack.
Donald's family after Zeus's falling into the crack
As he claims that he defeated the Titan, he trips and falls into it as well. As everyone walks away nonchalantly, Hades can be heard laughing at Zeus' new predicament, much to Zeus' dismay.
The Last Adventure[]
Donald is in an awkward position because of bad news for his sister
A few months after the discovery that F.O.W.L. is back, at Funso's Fun Zone, the Duck family and various friends and associates are in the midst of celebrating Webby's birthday. In the course of things, Della learns from cousin Fethry that Donald is planning on going on a trip around the world with Daisy, news she finds difficult to take in.
Donald's family celebrating Webby's birthday
As the partiers gather for cake, they are observed by F.O.W.L., now joined by Don Karnage, who quickly realize that something is amiss. Sure enough, B.O.Y.D., Lena and Gosalyn Waddlemeyer take out F.O.W.L.'s cameras, and the group spring into action. Scrooge, Donald, Della, the nephews, Webby, Beakley, Darkwing Duck, Launchpad, and Gizmoduck make their way into the ballpit, which conceals the entrance to F.O.W.L. headquarters.
Donald and Della offended at each other
Huey explains that Launchpad has been talking in his sleep, and has determined that the pilot somehow knows the complete layout of the secret base. Based on Huey's plan, Scrooge and the kids go to find the "Missing Mysteries of Isabella Finch" while Donald, Della, Launchpad, Gizmoduck, and Darkwing set out to capture F.O.W.L. However, the two teams soon determine that the base is virtually empty of personnel, with the Missing Mysteries nowhere to be found. Startlingly, they come across two young Duck girls in a pair of tubes. Upon returning with them to McDuck Manor, they are able to verify that the pair, who introduce themselves as May and June, are in fact clones of Webby.
Donald and Della in front of May and June
At the Manor while May and June were investigated Della told Donald what a exciting surprise happened and he have to be dumb to go on this vacation with Daisy now. After May and June introduced themselves Donald tried to be kind to them, but Beakley forbids to anyone to interact with the clones.
Donald and Della are hugging on the Houseboat
Later Della has a heart-to-heart with Donald about his imminent trip. After confessing her feelings about not wanting him to leave, the two siblings share a hug, and then Della decides to go shopping with Donald in preparation for the trip. June, sneaking onto Donald's Houseboat, then seizes the Sword of Swanstantine left there by Della, and is spotted by Huey.
"To adventure!"
Donald and Della get back from their shopping trip, Donald rocking his favored blue sailor suit, only to be crowded by Scrooge, Dewey, and Louie with news of Beakley, Huey, and Webby's absences. Having learned that Huey has left his Junior Woodchuck Guidebook behind, Donald is convinced that this is not an attempt by the family to make him stay, and becomes determined to join in one final adventure.
Donald, Della and Scrooge preparing for battle against Eggheads
At the manor, Scrooge with his faimily and allies prepares to leave to confront F.O.W.L. aboard the Sunchaser, which later arrives at the Library of Alexandria, the F.O.W.L. main headquarters, and Scrooge's team parachutes down, only to scatter in various directions, with Scrooge and his niece and nephew facing a horde of Eggheads.
Donald is caught by Jeeves
Scrooge, Donald, and Della prove more than a match for the Eggheads, but face a more difficult challenge when Rockerduck ages Jeeves back to his massive adult size. Scrooge, Donald, and Della struggle against Jeeves, but defeat him with the surprise aid of an Egghead who turns out to be a disguised Beakley. Unfortunately, just as Scrooge has informed Beakley that F.O.W.L. has Webby, they pair are attacked and subdued by May and Black Heron.
Donald, Della and Beakley in F.O.W.L. captivity
Scrooge awakens tied to a chair and is approached by Bradford, who notes that Scrooge's other friends and relatives, including Donald, have similarly been captured. Later, after the fight between Scrooge and Bradford, who is now armed by the Sword of Swanstantine, and arriving on the library roof Scrooge sees Donald, Beakley and Della captive and learns that the boys and Webby have also been captured.
Donald, Della and Beakley are terrified of Bradford's terms to Scrooge
Bradford threatened Scrooge, that his family would be thrown into the Solego Votex, which eliminates everything that gets into it from existence, and offers him a deal: Scrooge can return home with his family, but only if he signs a contract written on the Papyrus of Binding to never adventure again. When Scrooge points out that getting rid of adventure and chaos would mean disposing of his own personnel, Bradford callously throws the rest of the Board of Directors and Black Heron into the Solego Vortex. Huey, viewing the conversation through a video call, accuses Bradford of lying, as only Scrooge's heir can find the papyrus. When Webby admits that she found it, Ludwig reveals that as May and June were cloned from her, she was cloned...from Scrooge. Having learned that their only reason for being was to help Bradford get the last artifact, May and June are hurt and frustrated, but are persuaded to help free Webby and the others to save the family, which they are now a part of.
Donald tries to dissuade Scrooge from signing a contract
Scrooge, needing a strategey, attempts to delay his signing of the contract, but Bradford threatens to throw Donald into the vortex so Scrooge reluctantly agreed to sign it and to give up. Donald tries to dissuade Scrooge from it convincing that he can beat Bradford, but Scrooge replies that it's not worth of his nephew's death and signs the contract.
Donald, Della and Beakley shocked after Scrooge signs the contract to save them
Now after Scrooge's constriction by magical chains, Bradford declares that he won: "The Great Scrooge McDuck is now just poor old man". Immediately after that, much to Scrooge's, Della's and Beakley's shock and horror, Bradford finaly gives in his villainous nature and prepares to throw Donald in vortex anyway with words: "Normaly, I wouldn't indulge in petty villainy, but since this is a special occasion...". But suddenly much to their relief and Bradford's anger the vortex deactivated as Scrooge's rescued allies in the form of Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, May, June, Gyro, Gandra and Ludwig arrive. Furious, Bradford goes after Scrooge while screaming "NO! No more adventures!" but is stopped by Webby, who tells the Buzzard to "Get away from my dad!" much to Scrooge's shock.
Donald tries to protect Scrooge from Bradford's blasts while Della coming to help him
As the heroes try to save Scrooge, the Sword of Swanstantine amplifies Bradford's inner evil into an increasingly monstrous form. As Bradford saw it, he started to blame the Ducks for his transformation into a base villain, still denying his own villainous nature, which is now more than obvious.
Della tells to Donald that she approves his trip with Daisy now
He attempts to blast the still defenseless Scrooge, but Donald puts up a barrier and is joined in holding it by Della (who tells to Donald that she has nothing against his trip with Daisy now, after Della almost lost him and her family again and in this time forever), Webby, Dewey, Beakley, and the reformed May and June.
Donald and his family showing Bradford that his contract is flawed
As they back Bradford's power Huey and Louie analyze Bradford's contract, and discover a loophole: it says Scrooge can have his family if he gives up adventure; however, as the McDucks always say, "family is the greatest adventure of all". Bradford said it was the stupidious thing he had ever heard and expressed great doubts that this could work as a loophole. But contrary to his expectations the contract disintegrates, losing its validity, and Bradford in horror and despair trying to catch its remains loses the sword and is left powerless. He screams in despair that he will not lose to Scrooge, but Scrooge himself replies, that Bradford lost not to him but to his family - all of them.
Donald and his whole family reunited once again against Bradford
Bradford is defeated by Donald's family
After that Bradford tried to escape only to be caught by Magica, Glomgold, and the Beagles waiting for him. Ma Beagle expressed her disappointed displeasure not believing that Bradford was Scrooge's greatest villian. Glomgold adds that Bradford not even wearing a kilt. Bradford desperately tried to beg for mercy by saing that he is not a villain. Magica ironically confirms that he is definitely not a villain and then turns him into an ordinary Buzzard, and Scrooge's adversaries then depart rather than face his family, both genetic and found.
Victory for Donald and his whole reunited family
After that Scrooge and his entire family began to celebrate the victory over F.O.W.L. and during that Scrooge questions Webby about her use of word "dad", which she repeats, with the nephews confirming her words. More than pleased, Scrooge pulls her into a hug calling her "Webby darling". As Beakley fears Webby will reject her she leaves but is quickly reasused she will still have a place in their family.
Donald and the others watching Webby embrace Scrooge as her father and Beakley as her granny
Shortly after Scrooge, Webby, Beakley, Della, Donald and the boys reunited with warm hug.
Family group hug
As the whole group head back home aboard the Sunchaser, May and June are welcomed to the group, with Donald calling Daisy to see if she'd be okay with a couple more passengers on their trip.
Donald adopts May and June
Scrooge, proving as overprotective a father figure as his nephew, is calmed by the assurances of his great-nephews and newfound daughter. Launchpad, thrilled by the group's success, leaves the controls to grab the Ducks in a group hug, with Della thankfully taking over steering before they can crash. Relieved not to have made an even bigger mess, Launchpad accidentally hits the button to open the cargo door, sending the entire group flying out the back of the plane. Of course, the heroes soon turn it into an unexpected free fall into a skydive through the end credits, only proper for a family of adventurers.
