Doofus Drake is a supporting character in DuckTales 1987. He is a friend and neighbor of Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
History[]
Doofus is somewhat larger, likely due to being older as well as having a constant appetite. He often appears with Launchpad, acting as his sidekick. Doofus is a member of the Junior Woodchucks, and is often shown wearing his uniform.
While rather dim-witted and clumsy, Doofus also got a positive attitude that is just as insatiable as his appetite. He exhibits hero worship for Launchpad, which frequently borders on the delusional. He's got a strong moral compass, best demonstrated in the episode "Superdoo!", in which he uses paranormal powers to save the Junior Woodchucks from catastrophe, only to voluntarily relinquish them for the sake of hard work and friendship.
When Scrooge travels 40 years into the future in the episode "Duck to the Future", Doofus has become trimmer and it's revealed that he is married to Webby.
After appearing throughout the first season, Doofus makes one last, non-speaking, appearance in one scene in "Super DuckTales"
