The Drake Barrier Reef is a part of the ocean filled with powerful currents and rocky terrain which makes it nearly impossible to navigate. When it snows above the reef and the currents cool down, one can navigate it very easily to find the lost city of Atlantis located within the reef. Scrooge McDuck and Flintheart Glomgold entered the reef to find the lost city in the DuckTales (2017) episode Woo-oo!.
It is based on the real world Great Barrier Reef.
