Gadget Hackwrench is a super-intelligent lab mouse-turned-member of the Rescue Rangers. She is voiced by Jeff Bennett in "Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice!", and she is also voiced by April Winchell and Corey Burton in "The Last Adventure!" alongside the rest of the Rescue Rangers.
History[]
Originally an ordinary mouse, Gadget was experimented on by Black Heron, which caused her to become vastly more intelligent. The alteration may have caused her to take on some other anthropomorphic features, as she took to wearing clothes and resembled a small, female humanoid, with mouse features.
She later assists Launchpad McQuack and Dewey Duck by creating a floating device that allows her to shoot a projectile at the release button for the cells to free them. She later flies the same device over to the lighthouse alongside her other animals experimented on by Heron, as she uses a built-in electronic device to disable Steelbeak and allow Launchpad to save Duckburg from the Sat-a-lighthouse ray.

- Gadget Hackwrench originally appeared in the 1988-1990 Disney Afternoon series Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers.
- Steelbeak asked how Gadget was able to get the clothes she was recognized for in the original series.
- Gadget and the other Rescue Rangers were originally pitched as an underground resistance group that left their logo wherever they helped like Zorro.[1]
- There seems to be some confusion over this version of Gadget's species. Steelbeak and Black Heron refer to her as a rat while Dewey later identifies her as a mouse. However, it should be noted that Heron only called her a rat after becoming frustrated with Steelbeak’s idiocy. One possible hint is this version has pink tail unlike her 1988 counterpart.
