Gladstone Gander is Donald Duck's cousin and a distant relative to Scrooge McDuck on DuckTales 1987.
History[]
Gladstone's most notable trait is his never-failing good luck. He foremost appears in "Dime Enough for Luck", where he is shown to be quite generous and good-natured. He is however turned into an unwitting stooge for Magica De Spell, who hypnotizes him into stealing Scrooge's Number One Dime by effectively avoiding traps and locks due to his luck.
Aside from a couple of cameos, Gladstone's only other appearance in the series is in "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. McDuck", where he is seen accidentally making a fortune on an auction.

Gladstone Gander originally appeared in 1948, in Carl Barks' Donald Duck comic Wintertime Wager in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories#88. In these pre-DuckTales comics, he is not only extremely lucky, but also arrogant and lazy, and never fails to upset his cousin Donald Duck, his constant rival for the hand of Daisy Duck.
