The Golden Cricket is a mythical creature that according to Scrooge McDuck emerges every 50 years from the Temple of the golden cricket at sundown singing a ethereal song that is said to hold the answer to life's greatest mysteries. In reality however, the golden cricket is only a gold colored bug whose song Scrooge and his family grew bored of quickly. The Golden Cricket appeared in the DuckTales episode "The House of the Lucky Gander!" as the episode's MacGuffin.
