Macaw is a city in the DuckTales universe. Based on its aesthetic and culture, it is in East Asia. It's a seaside city full of skyscrapers, neon lights and casinos. It is the residence of Toad Liu Hai, a malicious spirit that feeds on people's luck. In "The House of the Lucky Gander!", the Duck family visits Macaw and rescues their relative Gladstone Gander from Liu Hai's grasp. It also has a factory that produces fake gems, as shown in "Sky Pirates... in the Sky!" where the Sapphire of Souls is labelled as "Made in Macaw".
It is based on Macau, an autonomous territory in East Asia.
