Sir Swamphole McDuck is one of Scrooge McDuck's ancestors and a member of Clan McDuck.
Sir Swamphole lived in the early 13th Century and made back much of the wealth lost by earlier generations - he is even noted for "hoarding" treasures. He built a system of tunnels under Castle McDuck, hide his wealth there, and summoned a "Demon Dog" to guard it.[1]
His ghost appeared alongside other deceased McDucks in "The Secret(s) of Castle McDuck!"
