The Incredible Shrinking Webby! is a DuckTales 2017 comic book story, and the second two-part serial, spanning 20 pages.

Synopsis[]

Launchpad takes a "shortcut"-off a cliff-in his bid to take Scrooge and the kids to the Money Bin. They arrive safely-though Scrooge's Limousine doesn't-and Scrooge reveals that he's stopping to check on Gyro Gearloose's latest invention. As the group enters Gyro's lab, Dewey notes that Webby doesn't seem as enthusiastic as usual. Webby admits that she's feeling some pressure to live up to her grandmother, but Dewey encourages her.

The group walks in on Gyro, who explains to Huey that one of his latest inventions is a seismic alternator before Scrooge asks about his new Money-Sorting Machine. Gyro reports that there have been some glitches, prompting Scrooge to head off to see it at work. Huey and Louie follow him, while Dewey and Webby stay behind in the lab. As Webby continues to bemoan her inability to exceed like her grandmother, Dewey begins examining a large magnifying glass.

The glass produces a strange flash of light, and Webby seemingly disappears; in reality, she's been shrunk down small enough to ride on Dewey's arm. Webby is thrilled, thinking that she's at last found a way to be special, and deduces that the magnifying glass is a powerful object of some sort. She and Dewey then hear screaming, and rush to the bin to find that the Money-Sorting Machine is attacking the others. Upon spotting Webby, Scrooge realizes that Gyro, who he's already mad at, has been messing around with one of Scrooge's artifacts: the Oculon of Osiris, which can make things increase or decrease in size.

Gyro reveals that the only way to stop the machine is to deactivate its brain, a seemingly impossible task-until Webby notes that she's just the right size to get inside the machine. She makes her way through the interior as her friends attempt to evade the machine's attacks, only to run into defensive drones resembling the DT-87. Worse, she starts growing back to normal size, as the Ocluon's effects only last for an hour at a time. Fortunately, she is able to use the increase to her advantage, directing one of the drone's lasers at the brain.

Later, the kids and Scrooge are aboard Scrooge's Yacht, enjoying the fishing trip they'd been heading for all along. Scrooge compliments Webby on her success, noting that Beakley would be just as impressed. Dewey, having brought along the Oculon, uses it to make Louie's tiny fish grow massive.
