Waddle is a company founded and run by Mark Beaks. It produces smartphones, laptops and other electronic devices. Waddle's headquarters are found in a skyscraper in Duckburg. They provide a friendly working environment with gimmicks like slides, trampolines and desks made of candy, as well as mandatory dance breaks.
Huey and Dewey worked as interns at Waddle when corporate sabateur Falcon Graves broke into the headquarters to steal Waddle's latest crowdfunding project, named Project Tah-Dah. However, Graves soon found out that Project Tah-Dah was just a scam by Beaks without any actual product behind it, and he was hired by Beaks as part of the scam. Despite almost getting killed by an infuriated Graves, Beaks collects enough money through his scam to become a billionaire.
Waddle's next project is a driving robot named B.U.D.D.Y., which Scrooge McDuck considers purchasing. Worried that Scrooge might replace him with the robot, Launchpad McQuack challenges B.U.D.D.Y. to a driving contest. However, it is revealed that the artificial intelligence behind B.U.D.D.Y. is Bulb-tech, invented by Gyro Gearloose, that Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera posted online to find a solution for it regularly turning evil. When B.U.D.D.Y., predictably, turns evil, Launchpad, with the help of Fenton wearing the Gizmoduck suit, defeat and destroy it.
After getting fired by Gyro Gearloose, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera becomes an employee of Waddle. His Gizmoduck suit gets rebranded as "Waddleduck", and he assists everyone who summons him with a Waddle smartphone app. However, Beaks builds a restraining bolt in the Waddleduck suit that stops Fenton from rescuing anyone who doesn't specifically call him. When Fenton protests, Beaks takes the suit from Fenton and publicly announces that he, himself, is Waddleduck. However, he's unable to control the suit, which, again, gets him almost killed.
