Webbigail "Webby" Vanderquack is a young American girl Duck raised in McDuck Manor since infancy by Mrs. Beakley. She is an avid historian of Clan McDuck, an interest that would prove to have an unexpected source.
Early life[]
Webby was born as the result of Project 87, a bid by F.O.W.L. and Bradford Buzzard personaly to produce an individual who could help them obtain the Papyrus of Binding. Codenamed April, she was created using genetic material from Scrooge McDuck, effectively making her his daughter.
However, while still an infant, she was discovered in F.O.W.L. headquarters by Mrs. Beakley, who abandoned her pursuit of F.O.W.L. in order to get the child to safety.
Naming the baby Webbigail, Beakley left behind her work at S.H.U.S.H. in order to insure that Webby could grow up in the safest place she knew of McDuck Manor.
In making this choice, Beakley unwittingly allowed Webby to live under her biological father's roof.
Apparently unaware of Webby's true identity, Beakley concocted a false history, claiming the child as her own granddaughter and claiming that she had retired from spy work to raise her after her daughter, Webby's supposed mother, had died along with Webby's father.[1] Webby grew up happy but sheltered, her grandmother giving her the best of training in preparation for future hazards but also proving fiercely protective of her. Webby would later recall that, due to her sheltered life and the respective origins of the manor's other inhabitants, she was around seven years old before she recalled first hearing anyone speak with any American accent.[2]
As she grew, Webby developed a passion bordering on obsession with Clan McDuck, unaware that she belonged to that family by blood. She avidly researched all of Scrooge's adventures, and was also familiar with those of his estranged nephew Donald Duck. One of the few topics on which she was unable to garner any information was Donald's sister Della Duck, who had disappeared some years previously due to Bradford Buzzard's actions. This would prove to be the result of Scrooge himself gathering and hiding all information concerning his missing niece. Webby recalled that on one occasion, a piece of junk mail addressed to Della arrived at the manor, and Scrooge promptly bought the post office that had sent it and shut it down, with the mailman responsible for the delivery disappearing.
Webby's research naturally led to her interest in the Clan McDuck archives at the Money Bin, much to the chagrin of librarian Emily Quackfaster.[3]
Present day[]
The Beginning of a New Life[]
Meeting the nephews[]
Webby's life changed completely on the day three strange boys arrived at the manor. Suspecting that they might be agents of one or another of Scrooge's various enemies, Webby took them prisoner and began to interrogate them. However, when they referred to "Uncle Scrooge", Webby soon realized who they were: Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck, Scrooge's great-nephews through his niece Della. She quickly made the acquaintance of the trio, and decided to show them around McDuck Manor...through the air vents.
She led them into the garage, which housed a number of artifacts Scrooge had accumulated over the decades, including a painting of himself, Donald, and Della (though her image was hidden at the time) - on an adventure. The nephews, having grown up with Donald as an anxious helicopter parent, quickly expressed doubt in Webby's claims. Desperate to prove the truth of their heritage to the boys, Webby made the mistake of opening a chest containing the spirit of Captain Peghook, and his appearance set off a chain of events that awakened both the Headless Man Horse and the Deus Excalibur.
Before the kids could figure out how to deal with the threats, Scrooge appeared, and handily dealt with the mystical menaces before turning on the children in wrath.
Unfortunately, his actions completed a ritual-begun during the brief altercation-needed to unleash Pixiu, who soon flew off to attack the Money Bin with Scrooge clinging to his tail. Despite Scrooge ordering them to remain behind, Webby was determined to help him, and the nephews quickly agreed.
Enlisting Scrooge's chauffer, Launchpad McQuack, for his piloting abilities, the four pursued the gold-hunting dragon in Scrooge's plane, the Sunchaser. Webby then lists items that could help, and Louie just happens to have one (which he states he was going to give back) - the Medusa Gauntlet.
Launchpad flies in closer to the dragon, who has opened up a hole at the top of the Money Bin, and Scrooge is swung closer to him using a hose pipe.
Scrooge grabs the dragon by the tail, and the gauntlet takes effect, turning him to stone again. Scrooge falls down into the bin and starts swimming around in his gold. Busy enjoying the scene, Launchpad crashes the plane.
When he gets out, he starts to inform them of all the danger that they started. But to their surprise, he laughs, finding the whole thing exciting. He then phones Mrs. Beakley and tells her that he's taking the children on a "field trip". Meanwhile, Donald has been given the job of 'sailor'. It is revealed that his new employer is Flintheart Glomgold, who asks Donald what he knows about Atlantis.[4]
Journey to Atlantis[]
Flintheart Glomgold sets out for Atlantis with new employees Gabby McStabberson, Hack and Slash Smashnikov, and Donald while Scrooge, the kids, and Launchpad are heading for the same location in their submarine. Dewey, eager for adventure, is bored by the fact that they are taking a slower but safer route to the sunken city.
Louie, meanwhile, convinces Webby that she needs to lie to her grandmother Mrs. Beakley about her whereabouts, as Webby failed to tell Beakley about the expedition but doesn't think her grandmother would approve.
After arriving to Atlantis Webby after receiving several calls from her grandmother tells to her claims that she's staying at a friend's house, that her name is Sabina and that her friend's Swedish uncle is visiting
only for a venom-addled Launchpad to take the phone and break into Swedish right before Glomgold and his henchmen stumble across them.
After that Scrooge, Dewey and Donald retrieved the Jewel of Atlantis they find Webby, Launchpad, and the others nephews handily dealing with Glomgold's minions; however, Glomgold has escaped with the false jewel and fires missiles from his sub, perfectly willing to destroy Atlantis and his own minions if it means beating Scrooge.
Fortunately, Scrooge's party-with Gabby and the Smashnikovs in tow-are able to get back to their sub and make their escape.
Scrooge arrives at Duckburg harbor just in time to show up Glomgold, whose jewel is revealed to be cursed as a tentacled sea creature carries him way.
The group is then met by Mrs. Beakley, who hasn't been fooled by Webby's deceits but feels that her granddaughter is safe enough in Scrooge's company, though she insists on her being honest from now on.
Donald admits to being overprotective and decides that the nephews can see Scrooge in the future, only for the houseboat to explode due to Dewey leaving the engine running. At Scrooge's invitation, the four move into McDuck Manor with the houseboat being crane-lifted into Scrooge's swimming pool by Launchpad.
As his brothers and Webby are playing with Scrooge, Dewey reexamines the painting of Scrooge and Donald adventuring together, and upon lifting a drooping corner discovers a third participant: his mother Della Duck.
Adventuring with Scrooge and nephews[]
Daytrip of Doom[]
In "Daytrip of Doom!" Webby during the plaing in dart tag with the boys takes the game most seriously, donning night-vision goggles and traps to hunt them down. Scrooge doesn't mind their antics and even tells Dewey not to shout when he's aiming at something.
As Scrooge walks to the bathroom, Mrs. Beakley voices her disapproval with their behavior, as it damages the house she alone has to clean up. Scrooge still dismisses these concerns until he arrives to find his nephew Donald using his bathtub to clean his clothes.
Finally furious, Scrooge summons everyone to a family meeting to lay down the limits of the manor: his space is his space, and refers to Mrs. Beakley for any other rules. Mrs. Beakley continues the meeting after Scrooge leaves, and reveals her own complex set of rules for the ducks. Much to Donald's chagrin, one of them is that nobody is above her or Scrooge, not even Donald. The two get into a fight, telling the kids to leave.
After leaving, the kids ponder what to do for the day. Webby suggests playing more games; the boys immediately turn this down and Louie suggests they instead go to Funso's Funzone, a family playground.
Because Webby is socially (and mentally) lost, due to have never been outside the manor before, Dewey invites Webby who is excited about the idea.
Accepting the offer, Webby, due to her concern about acting awkward on the trip, tries to play it cool. Things do not go in stride during the trip however, as Webby causes trouble on the bus ride spurned from her excitement, causing the driver to kick the kids off the bus.
The boys take this in stride, and opt to walk to Funso's instead, although they now find themselves through a shady part of Duckburg. Along the way, they are spotted by Beagle Boys (consisting of Burger, Bouncer, and Big Time), who recognize the duck children as Scrooge's.
At Funso's Funworld, the nephews go around enjoying the facility their own way; Dewey climbs into a never-ending ball pit, and Louie gets some food with Webby. At the Pizza Pier, Louie persuades the staff to getting free tokens and free drinks. Webby is horrified, but Louie asks her to try out his methods.
Webby fails this due to her integrity and poor lying skills, which gets her and Louie in trouble with the manager.
Outside, the Beagle Boys sneak into the Funzone dressed up as the company mascot, and try to capture the kids during an arcade game Webby is participating in. Webby gets so into the game that she doesn't realize Bouncer sneaking up on her, and she accidentally beats up the Beagle Boys, who then trips over the arcade cords and thus erases all high scores. While the boys don't have any resentment towards Webby, a mishap involving the kids trying to escape the ball pit with a grappling hook causes Webby to accidentally cause a fire. With this, Webby and the nephews are banned from Funso's.
Before the boys can lament their status, they are taken away by the Beagle Boys still in their disguises, who ties them up in a rope while Big Time calls for their mother, Ma Beagle, to see their bounty. Meanwhile, Big Time orders the other Beagle Boys to send Scrooge a ransom note for the kids' safety, but instead knocks Donald unconscious with the brick used to send the note. Donald eventually regains consciousness, and after reading the ransom note, makes his way back to Mrs. Beakley to inform her about the kidnapping.
Meanwhile as Ma Beagle arrives at Funzone, she is annoyed that the Beagle Boys captured Scrooge's kids and thus effectively making themselves his targets. At that moment, Donald and Mrs. Beakley arrive, having been informed of the kids' capture due to a failed ransom note sent to Donald. While Beakley tries to coordinate an attack strategy, Donald, completely furious that the Beagles have his nephews, gives in to his rage and pummels the Beagles. Beakley then admits that he can take care of himself before joining in.
Back in Funso's, Webby manages to get out of her ropes, although she's worried about how the boys think of her after everything. The boys tell Webby that they would never judge her, and she shouldn't be worried about what she's good at. With their encouragement, Webby devises a plan to beat Ma Beagle. Using themselves as diversions, the boys pretend to be Webby to trick Ma Beagle into following them, and soon the villainous beagle gets herself trapped in the ball pit and in a net places by Webby.
Donald and Beakley enter with the battered Beagle Boys, much to Ma Beagle's discontent, and the duck family reunites.
Back at the manor, Donald apologizes for his misdemeanor as Beakley apologizes to Donald for deeming him irresponsible. Funso's also lifts the ban on the kids giving them free tokens in order to avoid a lawsuit. With Webby, the nephews agree that Webby is fine the way she is and are open to a new game of Webby's choice. Webby chooses "Medieval Dungeon of Eternal Screaming", with all the boys immediately declaring to play on Webby's side this time.
Investigation commenced[]
In "The Great Dime Chase!" Dewey sneaks into Webby's room and looks through one of her books, only to be caught by Webby. Confronted, he admits that he's looking for information on his mother, Della Duck, as he has only a photograph of her, and his Uncle Donald's only statement pertaining to her whereabouts is that "She's gone." Webby proves to be similarly bereft of information, as Scrooge appears to have actively eliminated all photographic and printed evidence of her existence.
Thinking of one possible source to which they may look, Webby drags Dewey along as they accompany Scrooge and Louie to the Money Bin, with Launchpad driving them. The two then excuse themselves and go to visit Scrooge's archives, where they are greeted by Mrs. Quackfaster, who gives to them set of "trials" to pass in order to know, waht they wanted.
Dewey and Webby eventually uncover a book mentioning Della after Quackfaster points it out to them, and after reorganizing a section of the library discover a secret room containing material about her. Upon finding a note that seems to indicate that Della betrayed Scrooge by stealing the Spear of Selene, Dewey decides that they need to find out more before he tells his brothers.
Meeting Lena[]
In "The Beagle Birthday Massacre!" Webby and the boys prepare for their day-long boat trip. The boys are excited to begin the trip as they reminisce of all the times they got in trouble, especially the time since Louie got them lost, thus earning him the nickname, "Captain Lost." Webby is excited about beginning their first about trip together. As they set sail, however, it appears that the boat can only hold three passengers. Unwilling to disappoint her friends, Webby (dejectedly) volunteers to stay behind, despite the boys proclaiming she should come. Once they depart, Webby notices a message in a bottle containing a call for help. Noticing that a trail of more bottles proceed it, Webby takes the call to action to help the person in need.
After tracking down the bottles' source to an amphitheater, Webby encounters a teenage duck named Lena - the one, who will became her best friend and who was writing these messages for fun. Lena takes interest in Webby's spunk, and the two get along well. Lena then suggests going to a party that she knows about, with Webby agreeing to tag along.
Later, the girls arrive at a junkyard. Lena asks Webby to help her get in, although Webby is confused as to why they would need to do that if Lena was already invited. Lena then reveals she wasn't invited. Nevertheless, she manages, and the ducks make their way through the junkyard. At the center, Webby discovers that the place is swarming with Beagle Boys gathering for Ma Beagle's birthday. Webby urges Lena to get out of this place; but they bump into Bouncer Beagle, who decides to give Webby to Ma Beagle as a birthday present. Lena sneaks up onto the podium where Ma Beagle is and pushes her birthday cake into the beagle's face. Angered by the prank, Ma Beagle orders the boys to capture them as the ducks run away.
Webby and Lena escape to the alleyways of Duckburg, Lena and Webby just barely escape, noting they almost died. Just then, the Beagle Boys spot them and drive a truck towards them; fortunately for them, the truck is too big for the alleyway they ran into and Webby finds a fire escape ladder, and the two ducks escape to the rooftops. They overhear a set of the Beagle Boys with a radio to Ma Beagle notifying where they are. To cover their tracks, the girls pretend to be a British offset of the Beagle Boys called the "Beagle Birds" and successfully commandeer the radio from them. Happy over their feat, the girls decide to celebrate their escape at a nearby playground.
While conversing with Lena, Webby brings up her relationship with the triplets. Lena disparages this by mentioning how exclusive the boys are towards her; at that moment, Huey, Dewey, and Louie show up looking for Webby, wishing to apologize for disappearing for four hours and explained Louie got them lost again. Before the kids can discuss things further, a group of clown-esque Beagle Boys show up and corner the kids.
Regrouping, Webby and the triplets try to devise a plan. However, Lena decides to leave the kids to escape the Beagles and urges Webby to come with her. Ultimately, Webby chooses to stay with the boys, thus a disappointed Lena takes her leave. Consequently, the kids incapacitate the Beagles with banana peels the triplets had from earlier.
Assuming Lena had abandoned them, Webby becomes morose over losing a friend. Regrouping at the docks, Huey consoles her and promises to never leave her behind. Then, Webby notices another message in a bottle, this one containing a letter from Lena revealing that she was captured by the Beagle Boys as revenge for ruining Ma Beagle’s birthday. Despite what happened before, Webby declares that Lena's still a friend in trouble, and she enlists the triplets to mount a rescue mission.
At the amphitheater, the Beagle Boys are holding Lena captive. Webby and the triplets sneak around by boat and try to untie Lena in time; however, they end up getting spotted by the Beagles and all the ducks are captured.
With Lena and Webby tied up next to each other, the Beagles celebrate the capture as Ma Beagle heads over. Lena chastises Webby for getting herself captured, although when Webby argues with her, the two then realize they can use the Beagles' ties against them. They ask the Beagles who gets to hand them over to Ma Beagle; as none of the Beagles are willing to share the victory, the Beagle Boys end up brawling each other, buying the kids time to escape. Soon after, Ma Beagle shows up and, noticing the Beagles came empty-handed, revokes celebration of the Beagle Boys' birthdays as punishment.
Back at McDuck manor, Lena bonds with Webby and the triplets as they bid farewell to Lena. Once the triplets depart, Lena returns to the amphitheater. There, she uses her talisman to summon her aunt, Magica De Spell, to report that she has gained access to the McDuck's.
Search of the Terra-firmians[]
In "Terror of the Terra-firmians!" Webby, Lena, Huey, Dewey and Louie accompanied by Launchpad and Mrs. Beakley, go to see a horror movie on Lena's recommendation. The group's reactions are mixed: Dewey and Lena enjoyed the film, Louie found it boring, Huey found it unbelievable, Webby sees it as reflective of the existence of actual subterranean creatures, Launchpad wholeheartedly believes that there might be Mole Monsters around him and ends up ripping a poster into pieces and Mrs. Beakley sees the choice of film as an indication of Lena being a negative influence.
Webby and Huey's disagreement on the matter of subterranean creatures-notably the Terra-firmians-prompts Lena to lead them down into the city subway in search of the creatures. Mrs. Beakley, after dealing with a terrified Launchpad, notices their absence and quickly identifies Lena as the culprit.
As the three youngsters make their way into a tunnel renowned by Terra-firmian sightings, the younger two Ducks each cite different sources: Webby's Diary and the Junior Woodchuck Guidebook.
Despite his own experiences with the supernatural, Huey refuses to accept even the possibility of Terra-firmians' existing, blaming the subterranean activity they encounter on tectonic plates.
The group eventually enters an abandoned subway train, where they are intercepted by Beakley and the others. An annoyed Beakley tasks Launchpad with getting the train running so that they can get to safety; he takes Dewey, whom he suspects of being a mole monster, with him while Beakley takes Lena with her to detach train cars that are trapped by fallen rock. She quickly informs Lena that she has no intention of letting her have any contact with the children again, while Dewey is forced to deal with Launchpad's suspicions.
Meanwhile, Louie looks on in amusement as Huey and Webby's argument continues, only for mysterious creatures to appear in the tunnel.
Launchpad manages to get the train up and running, and Lena-after initially arguing with Beakley-helps her to get the train cars detached, only for Magica to appear in her shadow when the train's lights come on. Fully convinced that Dewey is a monster, Launchpad shoves him out of the driver car and starts the train, only for it to be hit by the creatures and be stopped by a rockslide.
Beakley becomes trapped under a train car, and despite Magica's suggestion that she leave the older woman to die, Lena uses her own powers to get Beakley to safety while she is unconscious. Dewey's attempts to reason with Launchpad at least convince the scatterbrained pilot that he's not a threat, while Huey is reluctant to leave the train car due to his fear of the unknown. However, Webby assures him that they'll figure it out together, and he accompanies her and Louie out of the car.
After reuniting with the others, they run into the Terra-firmians only to find that they are not threatening monsters after all, and the creatures in fact guide them to a way out.
As they are climbing out, Magica questions why Lena spared Beakley; when Beakley then expresses remorse for her previous judgment of Lena and extends a free invitation for her to visit the children in the future, Lena then tells Magica that this will get her closer to the McDucks.
The Lost Pyramid of Toth-Ra[]
In "The Living Mummies of Toth-Ra!" having crashed into the Egyptian desert Scrooge, the children, and Launchpad enter the Lost Pyramid of Toth-Ra, only to find it inhabited by "Living Mummies": descendants of Toth-Ra's original followers who wear mummy-like wrappings and who have spent their entire lives in the depths of the pyramid.
To Scrooge's horror, Webby and Louie become separated from them and end up in the Pharaoh's Chamber, which the mummies refuse to enter out of fear of their god-king.
Finding himself in a room full of treasure, Louie quickly desires to claim it, but is warned against it by Webby despite her inability to translate all the writings on the wall of the tomb.
Webby and Louie are discovered by a guard who traps them and is about to throw them into a spiked pit, but they are able to escape due to a combination of
Louie's smooth-talking and Webby's bizarre fixation on being "sacrificed properly." Webby gets on Louie's case for always seeking to manipulate situations to his own benefit,
but he ends up inadvertently alerting her to the location of a secret passage. Louie and Webby return to the treasure chamber and are confronted by Toth-Ra, only to learn that he is a lifeless mummy.
They then discover that the guard who captured them before is the latest in a long line of charlatans who have used Toth-Ra's body to perpetuate their own hold on the mummies.
The mummies under the leadership of Scrooge and Launchpad soon break into the treasure chamber, but Toth-Ra's body is inadvertently pulled across a seal in the floor that-as Scrooge is able to decipher-it was never meant to cross.
The seal unleashes magic that reanimates Toth-Ra, who begins attacking the mummies, Scrooge, the children, and Launchpad. However, the rebels have now gained a desire for true freedom-beyond just burritos-and help to battle him, with Louie eventually admitting his manipulative nature.
Together, the unlikely allies are able to return Toth-Ra to his chamber and his lifeless state before making their way out of the pyramid.
They then celebrate by taking all the mummies to a food truck, during which Louie apologizes to Webby and thanks her while Scrooge discovers his own enjoyment of burritos.
The Mount Neverrest[]
In The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest! on Christmas, Scrooge takes the kids to visit Mount Neverrest, a mountain top that is reputably unreachable. When the group arrives, Scrooge is flabbergasted to find the mountain has become a commercial tourist destination, while Dewey buys a sled for Webby to use on the trip.
The trip proves to be tricky, as the trail up the mountain somehow sends the group back the way they came.
The group seeks refuge inside a cave when a snowstorm develops. Once inside, the opening to the cave somehow disappears and the group is trapped. Huey uncovers the remains of George Mallardy, the first and only climber to make it the farthest up Mt. Neverrest at the cost of his life seventy-five years ago. A vindictive final message left by Mallardy directed to Scrooge forces Scrooge to confess that he was Mallardy's partner on the expedition. On that fateful trip, Mallardy demanded Scrooge release their emergency supplies and money to continue their climb upward, and when Scrooge refused, Mallardy betrayed the young millionaire by cutting Scrooge's rope and making the climb up without him. Huey is furious that their journey is just Scrooge's shot at revenge towards Mallardy until Webby finds a way out of the cave to where they started.
Scrooge and the others finally reach the peak of the mountain, but at this point, Huey has had enough of Scrooge's recklessness and advocates the group return to the resort. As Scrooge and Huey argue, Dewey and Webby try out their sled when the mountain suddenly starts rumbling and the two fall down from the peak. A moment later, Dewey and Webby appear back on the peak's base.
Huey realizes that Mt. Neverrest actually has dimensional portals scattered around its surface sending whoever entered into random locations; these portals were sending the group back and forth on the trail. Excited, Dewey and Webby move through the portals to recover their sled. But as they move, the ice becomes less stable. Scrooge tries out a portal and is brought next to the top of Mt. Neverrest. To his dismay, another portal prevents him from reaching the top, so Scrooge enters a fit. The mountain becomes further unstable until Huey persuades him to let go of his pride and leave the mountain. Finally convinced, Scrooge retrieves the sled as the mountain peak starts collapsing.
The group rides down on the sled to escape the snowfall on their tail. During the ride, they enter more portals until they finally reach the resort where Louie and Launchpad are. Huey apologizes to Scrooge about failing to reach the top, but Scrooge lets it go and remarks that there are always other adventures that Mt. Neverrest won't compare with.
Investigation continues[]
In "The Spear of Selene!" Scrooge, Donald, Launchpad, and the kids were flying through a lightning-filled storm. Everyone was nervous about their situation, but Launchpad remained calm and did his best to keep them safe. Yet on the side, Dewey was fiddling with the plane's gears, causing a flashes red light bulb to go off.
Launchpad doesn't think it's anything to worry about, but then Dewey caused him to worry about it, purposely crashing the plane into the Greek island Ithaquack.
With Scrooge and Donald having no interest in being there they try leaving immediately, but Launchpad wants to find out what wrong with the plane. Webby suggests that they explore, but Scrooge and Donald tell them to stay on the plane but they take off anyway. While Huey and Louie go off to play Webby pulls Dewey aside to discuss their plan to search for the Spear of Selene; the artifact that was taken by Della Duck when she disappeared.
They hope once they find it and learn what it is, in hope that it could tell them what happened to Della. While Dewey and Webby runoff, everyone else remained on the beach.
Dewey and Webby went searching in the Temple of Heroes to search for the Spear of Selene, during the search Webby has made a theory that Della stole and betrayed the family, but Dewey is against the idea and wishes to see his mom as a hero.
In the Temple Dewey and Webby travel through many chambers all to be the wrong one, but then they finally end up at the right one after they got help from the Kraken.
Finally in the right place, Webby reads a prophecy that made her theory of Della to be plausible. Dewey doesn't want to believe it and when Webby tries to go into the Garden of Selene, Dewey refuses by blocks her now wanting to end the search, Webby refuses and they get into a fight. In the Temple Webby finishes the fight and then asked Dewey why he preventing them to learn the truth, he breaks down and confesses that he's scared of what the answer really is; if his mother really is a bad person who left them for a selfish reason. Webby understands and with her sympathy, agrees to end their conspiracy. This gives Dewey a choice to walk away, but instead takes Webby’s hand and jumps into the garden together. While in the garden, they run into Selene, the goddess of the moon, who was expecting Della Duck.
Dewey ask her where the Spear of Selene is, Selene didn't know what they were talking about because she never had a spear, Selene had then realized that Dewey was Della’s child because he was just like her. Dewey had then fallen into despair when they didn't get any answers about the spear or his mother, returning to the thought that she could be a bad person. But then Selene comforts Dewey by displaying a memory of Della through her sphere and tells Dewey that his mother is a good person who loves her family.
Selene gives Dewey of Sphere of Selene and tells him not to give up, to hold on to the spirit he shares with his mother, with all the warmth he was given Dewey graciously hugs Selene and pulls in Webby to the hug as well.
Dewey and Webby make it back at the beach meeting up with the family, before heading to the plane Dewey promises to remain in the search with her, so together they will learn the mystery of Della Duck. Although at that moment Dewey drops the sphere and accidentally wins the game against Zeus, which he was infuriated about thus creating a storm. The family runs to the plane to find it torn apart with Launchpad believing that he "solved" the problem.
The Money Shark[]
In "Jaw$!" Lena shares an awkward moment with Donald Duck in McDuck Manor as they await the return of Scrooge, the boys, and Webby from their latest adventure. The five soon return, having apparently grown a giant beanstalk and obtained some treasure from the top. Scrooge soon has all the spoils-including those taken by the boys-prepared shipped off the Money Bin. Mrs. Beakley then informs him that he has an interview scheduled with Roxanne Featherly by the Board of Directors in response to Scrooge's reckless behavior and the damage it has done to Duckburg.
Lena slips a strange red jewel into the treasure, which upon landing in the bin dissolves and begins spreading a magical glow throughout Scrooge's valuables.
Lena is then revealed to be joining Webby for a sleepover, as well as planting the jewel on Magica's orders. The pair are attempting to steal the Number One Dime, with the jewel creating a "hunter" to seek it out. Webby then gives Lena a friendship bracelet before showing her her board. After explaining Scrooge's hatred of magic, she also shows Lena a magic book she smuggled into the house.
The boys arrive and try to initiate a pillow fight against the girls, but are swiftly and painfully defeated. On Dewey's suggestion, they head off to the bin while Beakley tries to help Scrooge get ready for his interview. At the bin, Dewey dives in only to be swallowed by the hunter: a monstrous shark with a body composed of gold coins. Huey and Louie rush back to the mansion and inform Lena and Webby, and Lena and Louie's insistence set out to deal with it themselves. Launchpad joins in, having somehow sensed Dewey's peril, and they steal Donald's Houseboat and airlift it to the bin.
Lena has another conversation with Magica, who reveals that the creature is called Tiffany and that it will continue growing as it prepares to seek out the dime. The group attempts to bait the shark, only for Huey and Louie to be swallowed as well. Scrooge begins his interview, and it proves to be just as grueling as Beakley warned him. Webby attempts to deal with the shark using magic, while Launchpad's attempt to crash the boat into the shark results in the boat being swallowed with him aboard.
After briefly questioning Lena's reasoning behind stopping the spell, Webby spots the arriving Scrooge. The creature draws Scrooge's dime into its mouth, and Scrooge's attempt to retrieve it gets him swallowed.
Webby then attacks the creature herself, while Magica orders Lena to retrieve the dime. However, the creature goes after her, and Webby knocks her out of the way. Webby is swallowed, and Lena soon joins her in the beast's throat, where Webby asserts that their friendship is more important to her than Lena's behavior.
Magica is stopped from grabbing the dime as Lena casts the spell herself, destroying the money shark and hugging Webby right after that. She and Lena reunite and reconcile, while the scattered coins of the money shark are taken by various denizens and criminals of Duckburg. Scrooge succeeds in retrieving his dime, and Magica becomes furious at Lena. Lena expresses her own fury towards Magica, but is unable to leave her service. Magica then reminds her that only she can grant Lena's wish for freedom, and the teenage duck sadly removes the bracelet Webby gave her. Later, Launchpad wakes a sleeping Donald by dropping his houseboat in the pool, much to the latter's shock.
Collision with F.O.W.L. and Black Heron[]
In "From the Confidential Casefiles of Agent 22!" Webby had to face the opponents who were responsible for her creation for the first time - F.O.W.L. in the face of Black Heron.
One morning Scrooge comes downstairs and notices the boys still watching the Ottoman Empire marathon, as he joins Webby in the dining room for breakfast.
Scrooge then questions Webby about Beakley's whereabouts due to her absence in giving him his daily nutmeg tea.
This gives Webby the opportunity to make the nutmeg for him herself, but although Scrooge is satisfied with his tea, he starts to feel on edge when Webby begins mimicking his every move due to her years of study on his life. Webby and Scrooge later enter the kitchen to grab Scrooge's breakfast, only to find it in disarray.
Scrooge dismisses Webby's suspicion that Donald was attempting to cook again, as he is heard shouting while locked in the cupboard following his last effort. Scrooge then comes across a black feather, which he alarmingly recognizes as the same feather belonging to an old foe. A flashback shows a younger Beakley in S.H.U.S.H. headquarters, where she was to receive a debriefing from Director Ludwig Von Drake, but had already familiarized herself with the mission details.
She explained that Black Heron was plotting to steal the last page of the "Great Book", it which it was recently seen at Castle Dunwin. Not only is the page said to contain dangerous information, but both Beakley and Ludwig believed Heron to also be working for F.O.W.L. Beakley also learned that the page was planned to be used at an auction later that night, and considering it was a high-class event, they managed to get a VIP invitation from a wealthy freelance operative. However, to her dismay, Ludwig informed Beakley that she would be working with the freelance operative himself Scrooge McDuck, who was fresh off his defeat of Jack the Tripper.
Ludwig then directed their attention to the equipment they needed for the mission, in which he opens a briefcase containing what appeared to be a normal cane similar to Scrooge's. Ludwig explained how it was no ordinary cane, in which it was his own invention he dubbed the "Von Drake Action Cane PPK", equipped with a number of unique gadgets for the mission. During the demonstration, Scrooge, however, ended up being careless with the cane and accidentally activated one of the gadgets. Back in the present, Scrooge bids his farewells to the boys as he is leaving the mansion to find Beakley, only for Webby to show up with her own supplies for the mission.
Webby demands that Scrooge takes her with on the rescue mission to save her grandmother, but Scrooge orders her to remain in the mansion, believing Beakley would want her safe and away from harm. Later on a submarine in the ocean, Scrooge recovers Von Drake's modified cane while the driver of the submarine Launchpad notifies him that they will arrive in a couple of hours. During the ride, however, Scrooge realizes Webby had snuck onboard after discovering her in the live vest bin. Webby then admits her prior awareness of him and Beakley's past adventures, along with Beakley's previous status as an agent known as "Agent 22."
Although Scrooge wants Webby to stay away from danger, he still prefers to take Webby with him over leaving her in a submarine controlled by Launchpad. Back in the flashback, Scrooge and Beakley were present at the auction as Beakley began to question what was on the page from the Great Book. Scrooge stated that the page contained forms of alchemy on it, with formulas used for potions and elixirs. He also stated that legend has it, the high priests of Castle Dunwin were mentored by creatures with never before seen powers. However, their conversation was put to a halt when they spotted Black Heron within the crowd.
The bidding for the page then began, but once Black Heron placed her bid up to seventy-thousand dollars, Scrooge became stingy on bidding any higher due to S.H.U.S.H. having only given him sixty-thousand dollars for the mission. Due to Scrooge's unwillingness to offer any cash from his own pocket in time, Black Heron won the page with her bid. Nevertheless, it didn't stop her from stealing the page anyways, as she then fled the auction by jumping out the window. Although she managed to escape, Beakley was able to throw a tracking device on the back of her dress so they'd know where she was taking the page to next.
Back in the present, the submarine arrives on a remote island in the middle of the ocean, where Scrooge and Webby begin making their way towards the laboratory positioned on the island. During the walk, they are approached by a mysterious orb, and although Webby is intrigued by it, Scrooge warns her to stay away from it. Back in the flashback, Scrooge and Beakley arrived on the same island and were approached by the same orb, to which Beakley points out that despite its appearance, it's actually an elite killing machine. Back in the present, Webby recognizes it as a creature who has the ability to ignite anything it lands on.
Just as the orb is about to land on Scrooge and Webby, Webby manages to poke a hole through the inside of it with Scrooges cane, and unleashes helium within it, causing the orb to float away elsewhere. This surprises Scrooge, as he recognizes Webby's technique as the same one Beakley used when they fought against the same orb years ago. He also recalls Beakley's annoyance for Scrooge's ruthlessness at his inability to follow the safety protocol. Scrooge and Webby then enter a mysterious cave, where Webby shouts out a battle cry. Back in the flashback, Scrooge had also shouted a battle cry which then caused them to get ambushed by a crew of fighting droids.
Beakley managed to twist one of the droid's head off, while Scrooge managed to throw one of the droids into a piranha pool, and causing another to lose an arm while being disabled with a hit to the head with rocks. However, despite its injuries, the last droid managed to escape. Beakley believed they should go after it, but Scrooge shrugged it off, believing they were likely to never see it again.
However, back in the present Scrooge is surprised to see the surviving droid still functioning after so long during the newly started battle. But after the brief scuffle, Webby manages to kick the droid into the same pool and disables it once and for all.
Scrooge begins to be impressed with Webby's skills to the point where he questions why they hadn't done anything like this after all the years she's spent at the Mansion. Webby admits that Beakley told her to never bother him, because at the time Scrooge was always so focused on his business that he no longer had time for adventures. Scrooge is also surprised at how much Webby knows about him, while also wondering as to why he knows so little about her after so long. As the two of them continue to bond about their interests, they arrive at the entrance to the laboratory and make their way to the top using the elevator.
Back in the flashback, Beakley made her way to the top floor of Black Heron's lab, but unfortunately mistook Heron for Scrooge in the darkness, and is then knocked unconscious. In the present, Scrooge and Webby arrive in Heron's lab and notice a vintage movie projector on the main table. The film shows Black Heron addressing herself to world leaders while Beakley is seen strapped to a table in the background. Beakley warned Heron that her back molar is rigged with a distress signal, annoying Heron due to her interrupting her speech of harmful intent.
While Scrooge sneaked his way towards Beakley from above, Heron proceeded to explain that she had obtained history's greatest biological weapon, in which she planned to create an army of super-soldiers that would bounce to the highest peaks of corruption. However, her speech was once again interrupted when Scrooge laughed beside her about how she's actually making a bouncing serum, in which Heron still believed it to be a useful tactic. This eventually leads to a fight between Scrooge and Heron, but the film ends before the fight is finished. When Webby asks as to how he and Beakley managed to defeat Black Heron, Heron shows up behind them, now with a robotic right arm and points out that they didn't.
Scrooge warns Webby to not get too overconfident in an attack, but Webby nevertheless leaps towards Heron for a hit, but is instead shoved away to the ground. Scrooge attempts to warn Webby to get back up, but this results in both of them getting knocked unconscious by Heron's tear gas. When they regain conscious, they are revealed to be tied up on the floor, as they spot Beakley within a cage hanging from the ceiling. Beakley becomes outraged over Scrooge's decision to allow Webby to come along on a past S.H.U.S.H. case, as Heron then approaches them and demands silence.
She reveals that she had spent decades in hiding tracking Beakley down, rebuilding her laboratory and herself a new arm. She then claims that before she moves on to her intents of world domination, their current predicament she's responsible for is merely about revenge. Heron then demands the formula for the bouncing serum, but Beakley claims she doesn't remember. However, Heron recalls to her a certain protocol stating that all mission data must be memorized by the agent, while also holding Webby hostage to force her to comply. Unfortunately, it works, as Beakley offers her the formula in exchange for Webby's safety:
“ | Six handfuls of red berries, four orange berries, three purple berries four blue berries, three green berries, and one yellow berry... in that order. |
” |
Heron then mixes the formula together and successfully manages to create the serum, while also adding that she plans for every eventuality. She then admits that although Webby is more talented than she imagined, she intends her to be the peak of her revenge. Although Scrooge attempts to convince Heron to leave Webby out of it by belittling her, he is secretly implying to Webby to drink the serum herself. Webby then manages to kick the serum out of Heron's hands and into the air, as she lands herself at the exact spot of the potion's landing to allow her to drink the serum.
Suddenly, Webby begins to feel an uncontrollable sensation in her body while managing to untie herself, as she then begins to bounce all throughout the lab. Once Webby stabilizes herself, she unties Scrooge while Heron herself manages to drink the serum from another glass. A brief scuffle then begins between Webby and Heron with their new bouncing abilities, but Heron is thrown off guard for a moment as Webby then manages to steal back the serum. Heron then uses her robotic arm to shoot the serum out of Webby's hand, where Heron manages to recapture it.
While Webby and Heron bounce their way to the rooftop of the laboratory, Scrooge uses his cane's laser function to free Beakley from her cage. On the rooftop, Webby continues to chase Heron for the serum. Their bouncing then leads to both of them bouncing super high in the air, but once their high enough, the bouncing serum begins to wear off as they both start plummeting to the ground. During the fall, Webby manages to steal the serum back while kicking Heron away, as Beakley then throws Scrooge towards Webby to catch her. Once he safely catches Webby, Scrooge activates his cane's umbrella function as they slowly descend back onto the roof.
Meanwhile just as Heron is about to reach the ground, she catches her robotic arm onto the edge of the rooftop. When Scrooge, Webby and Beakley make their way towards the arm, they realize the robotic arm had been torn off of Heron right above the ocean water. Later, the three are now back onto the submarine making their way home, with Scrooge bringing the arm with them. Although Webby is still energetic from the aftermath of the battle, she soon asks Beakley and Scrooge about what actually happened during their first fight between Black Heron.
Back in the flashback, Beakley managed to break out of her chains and drink the entire bouncing serum, where she then managed to retrieve the last page of the Great Book and tore it up for good measure. Infuriated, Heron dashed towards her, but missed and instead caused an explosive liquid to spill across the table, and be ignited due to its mixture with the spilled bouncing serums. Beakley managed to retrieve Scrooge as he was surprised she was willing to break protocol to save his life. They then fled the burning laboratory while Heron attempted to reach with her arm for a surviving serum, only for the lab to explode just before she could get it.
Back on the outskirts of the island, Beakley believed she was likely to be cleaning up many more of Scrooge's messes in the future, as the two then greeted one another properly for the first time. Back in the present, Webby thanks Scrooge for allowing her to be a part of an "Agent McDuck 22" adventure, in which he then asks to be called uncle Scrooge as the two embrace. The scene ends as the camera zooms in on the surviving bouncing serum Webby managed to retrieve and left in her pocket.
Visiting the Castle McDuck[]
In "The Secret(s) of Castle McDuck!" Webby, Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Launchpad visited the Castle McDuck, home of Scrooge's parents, in mist-shrouded area of Scotland. Using the Sphere of Selene, Dewey views images of his mother Della Duck in the past. Webby then confronts him about the fact that he hasn't yet told his brothers about what he's learned about their mom. He claims that it's so they won't get hurt, but ignores Webby's attempts to convince him that it makes more sense to tell them the truth.
Upon arrival in castle Webby became overcome by the sheer amount of Clan McDuck history in the place and unable to cope with being in Scrooge's ancestral home, while the boys found new evidence - the backside of the paper which reveals a faded picture of the Spear of Selene and dates on the right side. During leaving the castle Webby regaining her ability to speak too late to ask Scrooge's parents any questions.
Misadventures in Other Bin[]
In "The Other Bin of Scrooge McDuck!" Lena, still being forced by Magica to assiste her, tried to steal Numder One Dime from Scrooge while he sleepes in the bedroom, but she was caught red-handed by Webby. However, fearing that Scrooge will wake up and will catch them red-handed both, girls retreated into Webby's room. Immediately after, Webby asked her in interigation style what Lena was doing in Scrooge's bedroom. But Lena in return asked what Webby herself was doing in Scrooge's bedroom.
She replied that she was definitely not collecting drool samples while Scrooge sleeps clearly indicating that this is exactly what Webby wanted to do. That helped Lena to make a cover for herself: she responded that Mr. McDuck's pretty cool and she may have caught a bit of the obsession bug from Webby. This led Webby into indescribable delight and she decided to make a presentation on the life and times of Scrooge McDuck for her friend much to the both Lena's and Magica's annoyance. During that Magica was able to know that Scrooge decided to lock his Number One Dime in his "Other Bin". After she informs her "niece" about that, Lena entices Webby to explore the other bin where girls encounter a few rooms with deadly prisoners to deadly artifacts.
For example they were involved in a fight against unicorn, who was captured by Scrooge in 1956. While searching, Lena encounters the Dreamcatcher - an object that shows her worst nightmare; betraying and hurting Webby after completing Magica's plan.
After that Lena told Webby that it was better to stop searching before something terrible happened again much to Magica's dismay.
She argues once more with Magica over her and decides she's had enough and she will tell to Scrooge about Magica's evil plans. However, before she can tell about it to Scrooge and Webby, Magica possesses her to keep her from revealing the truth. And Magica began to control her body.
End of Investigation[]
In "The Last Crash of the Sunchaser!" the family heads to Monacrow for a vacation while Donald Duck decides to stay home to continue fixing the houseboat, claiming he was almost finished repairing it. On their way, the kids recover shredded pieces of documents from the McDuck archives on Della Duck and the "Spear of Selene", and try putting the documents back together before Scrooge McDuck can find it.
However, Scrooge, while flying the plane, crashes the Sunchaser into a peak, and one of the pieces slip away during turbulence. Unable to lift without damaging the engines, the airplane can't fly them off it, leaving the group suspended on top. Bentina Beakley then chides Scrooge for putting the kids in danger. Noticing the piece slipped into the jeep's window, the kids distract Scrooge and Beakley while Dewey reaches for the piece. Launchpad McQuack misheard them and drives the jeep towards the other side of the Sun Chaser, causing the airplane to tilt towards the side and the plane door to open with Launchpad at the edge of it.
Beakley gets the kids to the other side while Scrooge rescues Launchpad, but Scrooge orders the kids to stay in their seats for balance. Launchpad entertains the kids with a tape of Darkwing Duck stuck on the credits theme due to the crash until they can figure a solution. Scrooge confidently attempts to fix the plane against Beakley's concerns for the kids until Beakley pleads with Scrooge to admit he can't fix everything, leading Scrooge to instinctively say that nothing bad will happen to "her" before correcting himself.
Meanwhile, Dewey tries to retrieve the piece from the cockpit. Huey moves to the other side to counterbalance the plane as Webby coordinates the two in the right direction. Right when Dewey retrieves the piece, however, he is spotted by Scrooge and Beakley. Scrooge then demands Dewey give him the paper but it is blown away so Dewey chases after it into the cargo, and followed by Scrooge, where the added weight tips the plane to their side. Dewey then rushes to the piece where it has now flown out through the side window, and climbs on top of the plane once he realizes it is caught inside the right propeller. Dewey reaches for the piece with Scrooge close by trying to save him, but Dewey will only come back with him if he tells him the truth about the Spear of Selene.
Scrooge had to admitte the circumstances behind Della's disappearance, which he know so far: ten years ago, he, Donald, and Della were seasoned adventurers who had visited just about every possible location on the globe. Before the triplets hatched, Della wanted to embark on a journey to a new frontier — outer space. Donald thought the trip would be too risky with Della's sons about to hatch, and while the two argued about it for days, Scrooge built the rocket dubbed the Spear of Selene so he could reveal it to Della as a surprise when the triplets were born. Della, however, took the rocket on a test run before Scrooge could surprise her, and the photo of this event is on the very piece Dewey was retrieving. Della then braved into an unexpected cosmic storm, but despite her confidence and Scrooge's assistance through the radio, she was struck by a lightning bolt and stranded in space. Unfortunately, the shocked and angry triplets and their friends were quick to accuse Scrooge of recklessness and refused to believe Scrooge's claims that he had done everything he could to try and find Della after she disappeared.
Heartbroken, the boys accuse Scrooge of leading Della into that storm, leading Scrooge to become frustrated with everyone (for exaple, he said, that Webby isn't part of family and broke Webby's heart this way) while the Sun Chaser falls from the peak. Thankfully, the fall isn't too high and everyone on the plane survives, though Launchpad successfully crashes it a bit.
At the manor, Donald has successfully rebuilt the houseboat and sees the bitter triplets who inform him they learned the truth, and solemnly prepare to leave the manor. Webby, Beakley, and Duckworth take a vacation away from Scrooge who is scolded by Beakley before leaving. Now alone again, Scrooge, reminiscing his countless efforts and failures in trying to find Della while the other's accusations echo in his mind, coldly states he is happy this way, though his tears suggest otherwise.
The Shadow War[]
At Duckburg harbor, Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey, and Louie are moving back into the houseboat with Webby Vanderquack helping them. Though Webby is ecstatic with living at the harbor, the triplets, still mad at Scrooge are resigning themselves to the mundane ocean-faring lives they had before they met Scrooge.
Launchpad then goes to visit the family at Duckburg harbor and notices the boys are throwing away the items they acquired on their past adventures to remove any reminder of Scrooge. Donald tries to cheer up by announcing to the triplets they will be moving to Cape Suzette the next day. Overhearing this, Webby and Launchpad panic about losing the family and so they decide to set up a secret farewell party to get Donald, the triplets and Scrooge back together.
Webby and Launchpad then commence their plan for the party. After getting the triplets to join, Launchpad calls Scrooge to invite him. Magica answers and mimics Scrooge's voice, accepting the invitation to ruin this for Scrooge.
Unfortunately, Bentina Beakley finds out about the surprise party, scaring Webby. Knowing Beakley could find out about their ulterior motive, she panics. During the dinner party, Beakley catches onto Webby and Launchpad but agrees to help them, wanting to also help the family and Scrooge get back together. Beakley attempts to guilt-trip the family by telling the triplets how Scrooge nearly went bankrupt looking for Della Duck and scolds them for making him feel more miserable for Della's loss.
The dinner party soon concludes although the triplets, having caught onto the party's intention, still want to leave Scrooge behind, but Donald has second thoughts after Beakley's speech and declares their family has been apart for too long. The sentiment shared, the family finds it in their hearts to forgive Scrooge and set out to reunite with him. At that moment, the group hears a sudden explosion from outside, only to then witness Magica's shadow magic erupting from McDuck Manor. Magica then uses her magic to bring forth a cascade of shadow monsters from everyone's shadow and amass over the Money Bin as Magica's new fortress.
Both Webby and Beakley fearfully identify Magica as the source. Webby explains that Magica was Scrooge's bitterest rival who met her defeat by Scrooge fifteen years ago in a battle for the Dime on Mount Vesuvius. The family is then joined by Gyro Gearloose, Manny the Headless Man-Horse, and Lil Bulb, having escaped from the destruction of the Money Bin.
Together they decide to fight against shadow army and save Scrooge.
However, Donald wants the kids to stay at the harbor to keep them safe from Magica,
although the kids ignore his wished and set off to the Bin, starting by searching for Lena to help them.
At the amphitheater, the kids discover Lena's room underneath the stage. Finding her journal, the kids read an excerpt detailing Magica's defeat by Scrooge years ago and how Scrooge imprisoned her inside the Dime, which forced Magica's shadow to find refuge inside her staff (the talisman Lena wore) and spawned Lena from it. Webby is heartbroken because of the truth, but the others find a secret message detailing Magica's plan and learn they must free Scrooge from the Dime.
Magica then sees the oncoming attack on her and launches her counter-attack. The others take care of the shadows as the kids swim under to enter the Money Bin.
Launchpad tries to crash the Sunchaser into the shadow mass on the Money Bin but gets swatted by it. When Donald's houseboat breaks down, Beakley fights off the shadows and promises to look after his boat as Donald swims the rest of the way to the Bin.
The kids manage to enter the Money Bin, but Magica's power creates more shadow duplicates in response to the intruders, so Dewey cuts off the power with Louie's retrieved khopesh to keep the lights off. Finding their way to Scrooge's office, the kids are confronted by shadow duplicates of the McDucks and Scrooge's enemies before Donald bursts in and takes them all down. Donald admits he purposefully told the kids to stay put so they would come and has them continue towards the Bin as he handles the other shadows.
Magica catches sight of the kids and blasts at them. To get to the Dime, the kids perform a strategic distraction to hold her off. Meanwhile, Donald faces off the Gizmoduck shadow. Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera joins Manny and Lil Bulb in their battle on the bridge, soon joined by Beakley after she sinks the houseboat. Launchpad steps out of the airplane onto the wings to take the shadows head-on.
In the battle against Magica, Huey distracts her by asking questions related to her while Louie tricks her into thinking she broke a cursed mirror. Webby personally engages Magica in honor of Lena before she and Dewey are tossed down and are about to be destroyed by the sorceress.
However, Lena's residual magic draws enough strength from Webby's friendship bracelet to magically protect Webby from the blast and Lena briefly revives herself from Magica's shadow only for Magica to destroy her instead.
An angered Webby fights Magica head-on, causing her to drop the Dime that Dewey then catches. Though Dewey tries to reconcile with Scrooge, he realizes they can't do so mid-battle. Magica blasts magic at Dewey but unwittingly aims for the Dime instead, freeing Scrooge and returning him from the Dime.
Scrooge then confronts and taunts Magica, thanking her for keeping his family together, disarming her with his cane, sending her staff flying, and it falls onto Donald's head and cracks, causing Magica to lose her magic and shadow army. Magica bemoans her loss, right when Launchpad falls from above and crashes on top of her, forcing Magica to make a hasty escape.
Though the day is won, Webby, while looking at her friendship bracelet, mourns for the fallen Lena, although the triplets comfort her and state Lena will always be with her, not noticing the remnants of Lena now residing inside Webby's shadow.
The kids then happily reunite with Scrooge. Just after, Donald's voicebox breaks and he has his old voice returned. In celebration, the family then swims inside the gold.
Adventures continue[]
The Game Night[]
In "The Most Dangerous Game...Night!" Scrooge and the kids go on another adventure for treasure in a forgotten palace, with everyone using their unique set of skills to get through the various traps (Webby and Dewey, for exaple, used their friendship in order to jump across the abyss) with the exception of Louie, who simply finds himself injured. As they reach the treasure Scrooge tries to milk the drama of the moment but Louie interrupts, complaining that they all know when he takes the treasure something dangerous will happen, someone will say "wait what?" and then he gets hurt. Scrooge denies that the adventure is that predictable, only for all of these things to happen nevertheless, plus a giant boulder chasing them away.
Later, during the game night while playing Scroogeopoly (a game clearly designed in Scrooge’s favor), the Gyropuddlians use the micro-phone to shrink the rest of the family and trap them alongside Launchpad and Gyro. Louie and Huey find their now small family and attempt to use the micro-phone to unshrink them, which of course causes one of the Gyropuddlians to grow to giant size and attack them. Caught under pressure, Louie quickly devises a plan to save everyone, ordering Launchpad to break up the Gyropuddlians, Scrooge and Donald to corral them into Barks Place, Huey to trap the Gyropuddlian with his Junior Woodchuck sewing skills, Dewey and Webby take control of the flies carrying the micro-phone and helping the rest of the family fight the Gyropuddlians.
Everyone follows orders with the exception of Dewey and Webby, who doubt their partnership and friendship after their failure at game night. Scrooge retorts that they're not friends: they argue and bicker and get on each other's nerves but still care about each other more than anyone, meaning they're family. Newly encouraged, Dewey and Webby join the fight and the family manages to defeat the Gyropuddlians, and Louie uses the micro-phone to unshrink the family and Gyro.
A Case with Duke Baloney[]
In "The Ballad of Duke Baloney!" Webby and Louie go on a boat trip together-Webby looking to fish while Louie's chilling out-when they hear a familiar voice.
Investigating, they find Glomgold, now sporting a real black beard and a South African accent, and going by the name Duke Baloney. Fisher and Mann, who are now employing "Duke" on their boat, meet the kids and explain how they found him in the bay. Webby is convinced that Glomgold is suffering from amnesia, while Louie believes that he's faking it as part of some con attempt.
Their attempts to jog his memory and/or expose his falsehood fail, though in the process they notice that he has a particularly fancy money clip. However, Glomgold later spots a McDuck Enterprises fishing boat, and starts to feel resentful towards it after learning that is catching more fish than the boat he works on. He starts concocting insane schemes to outdo the other boat, much to the discomfort of his new friends.
Webby and Louie, attempting to unravel the mystery, discover quickly that there's no record of Glomgold before he arrived in Duckburg and none at all of Duke Baloney. However, they then decide to seek help from the person who knows Glomgold the best, and persuade Scrooge to visit the tavern that Glomgold and his friends frequent.
After a brief interview, Scrooge confirms that Duke Baloney is Glomgold, but suggests that the kids not attempt to help him regain his memory. When asked why, he explains that he's never seen Glomgold happier in all the time he's known him, and expresses the opinion that amnesia is a step up from his usual self-inflicted injuries. However, during the night, Glomgold has a nightmare in which aspects of his old identity begin to manifest themselves. Upon waking, he dismisses it, and is pleased to learn that Fisher and Mann have officially made him a partner on their boat.
Just then, a storm rolls in, which Glomgold had previously hoped to exploit in order to one-up Scrooge's fishing boat. However, Webby and Louie are caught out in it on their rowboat, prompting Glomgold to prepare to enter the water to rescue them. Before he can do so, a crane hook swings around and strikes him in the back of the head, also knocking him into the water.
Regaining consciousness, Glomgold swims to Webby and Louie's boat, only to pull Webby into the water and steal the fish she and Louie have caught. Reembracing his pseudo-Scottish persona, he then takes off and returns to Glomgold Industries. There he finds Scrooge in the midst of filling out paperwork with Zan Owlson, and challenges him to a contest to settle once and for all who is the richest duck in the world. Scrooge initially refuses, but upon finding that Glomgold has his long-missing money clip he angrily agrees. The two then agree that whichever of them makes the most money in the space of a year will also gain ownership of the other's company. Just as they had made the deal, Louie and Webby come barging into the room to warn Scrooge about Glomgold's return, only to see that Glomgold had beat them to it, with Louie believing they had just missed something important.
Search for Djinn's Lamp[]
In "Treasure of the Found Lamp!" Webby and her family meets the man who calls himself Djinn, as they occupy him while Scrooge looks in the garage for what he requested. When asked about the artifact, Djinn explains that he seeks the lamp of the first genie, a sacred relic of untold value that Djinn's family has sworn to guard their entire life. He also threatens if it is not given to him this very day, the consequences would be dire. Meanwhile, Scrooge, Louie and Mrs. Beakley continue to search through the garage for the lamp, but still remain unsuccessful. Bentina blames Scrooge for not having locked it away for safekeeping, knowing that anyone could've gotten their hands on it, but Scrooge shrugs it off as he originally assumed it to be a cheap knockoff. As Louie is searching through a bin of lamps, he accidentally opens up a lamp known as the Ferryman's flame. Scrooge closes in the nick of time, but warns Louie of the lamp lighting a way to the land of the dead.
Louie then asks more about the description of the lamp in order to avoid any more mix-ups with other supernatural artifacts, but then comes to realize he had accidentally sold it while holding a yard sale recently. Knowing the lamp was no longer in the Mansion, Scrooge attempts to minimize the blame on his perspective to Djinn by explaining he had simply misplaced it, but instead it causes Djinn to begin tearing everything apart with his sword. In an attempt to throw him off, Louie explains to Djinn that the lamp was actually stolen, with Scrooge deciding to go along with the charade. They lie and state that the lamp had actually been stolen by a Greek god, and may currently be on Ithaquack, but Djinn isn't willing to follow along with the claim unless Scrooge comes along the trip.
As Scrooge, Webby and Djinn are preparing to leave on the Sunchaser, Scrooge explains the situation to the triplets, and gives them the responsibility of finding the lamp while he keeps Djinn distracted on Ithaquack so he doesn't destroy anything else in the Mansion.
Upon arrival at Ithaquack, Scrooge, Webby and Djinn enter the Greek temple and attempt to further distract him by luring him deeper in. As they enter a room, Charybdis comes out from the water in an attempt to scare Djinn with the words Webby tells him to speak through sign language, as he and the moon goddess Selene also agree to assist in the charade. But much to Charybdis's surprise, Djinn begins fighting him off much harder than he anticipated. The fight between Charybdis and Djinn resumes, but eventually, Charybdis has no choice but to admit defeat. Knowing they still need more time for stalling, Webby decides they make their way to a room known as Appendix B.
Webby explains to Djinn that a trial known as the impossible riddle of the minotaur is the way to find the lamp, and can only be answered by the purest of hearts. When Djinn enters the chamber, he comes across the minotaur standing atop a miniature sized display of the islands, when in actuality it's Selene and Scrooge in disguise. Scrooge in a deeper voice then explains the riddle:
“ | I'm more powerful than the gods, more evil than the demons. The poor have me, the rich need me. If you eat me, you shall die. What am I? | ” |
Scrooge initially thinks it will take a fair amount of time for Djinn to answer, only for Djinn to give the correct answer to Scrooge a few seconds later which was nothing. Knowing he is beaten, Scrooge is forced to come up with further stalling questions. However, all of the riddles Scrooge is given by Selene with her joke book are still solved by Djinn sooner than they imagine, and now have no choice but to let him proceed through the chamber with the wall slowly opening.
As the wall had finally opened completely, Selene rushes back to her podium through a secret entrance with Djinn demanding the lamp from her. Selene instead congratulates Djinn on completing the riddles, but informs him (through Scrooge's words) that a nefarious person known as Ma Beagle had stolen the lamp and returned to Duckburg with it. That night, both Scrooge's group and the triplets reunite with one another at the junkyard, with Scrooge believing it would be best to search the area without alerting any of the Beagle Boys, who had been using the junkyard as a home. Nevertheless, Djinn calls out to all the Beagle Boys within the junkyard and demands the whereabouts of the lamp.
Eventually, Ma Beagle comes out of her shack demanding to know what all the commotion was about. When Djinn accuses her of stealing the lamp of the First Genie, this motivates Ma to try and find the lamp herself with the hope of being granted three wishes. But after realizing Ma Beagle doesn't have it and that the lamp was thrown away, Djinn demands to know what the entire quest he had been on all day was for, only to realize himself that Scrooge had cast it away and everything up until then was a charade. Nevertheless, the group fights together against the Beagle Boys while searching around the junkyard for the lamp. Eventually, Huey discovers the lamp on top of a tower made of tires. This then leads to a race between Scrooge and Ma Beagle, but after a minor scuffle for the lamp, Ma is able to throw Scrooge off the tire tower and retrieve the lamp. But to Ma's surprise, as she is wiping the side of the lamp hoping for a genie to come out, nothing did.
Djinn then laughs at Ma after realizing she thought there would be an actual living genie within the lamp. After Scrooge and the kids realize that all the trouble they went through was for something that wasn't even the slightest bit powerful or dangerous, they demand to know what it was all for. Djinn claims he wanted the lamp as it had not only been a family heirloom for centuries, but he also wanted it as a gift for himself as it is also his birthday. He then explains the story of the lamp, with one of his ancestors having discovered the lamp at a bazaar she was visiting. Once she rubbed it, a genie did appear in front of her, but instead of asking for wishes, she befriended the genie instead which eventually lead them to fall in love with one another.
When the time finally came of her needing to make a wish, she decided to wish for the genie's freedom so they could remain together as a husband and wife. Soon after and just as Ma Beagle was about to destroy the lamp, Djinn shoots an arrow through the handle of the lamp with a string attached to it and snatches it out of her hand, while warning the other Beagle Boys to back off.
The next day, everyone is present in the dining hall at McDuck Manor to celebrate Djinn's birthday, as Beakley had baked a cake for the party. When asked by Scrooge what he plans to do now, Djinn replies he will find a new quest and hopefully let the lamp act as a whole new legend to share with his future descendants. This encourages Scrooge to take the kids on a trip to the museum with some of his artifacts discovered over the years. The scene ends as Scrooge is explaining to the kids about one of his prized artifacts known as the candy-striped ruby.
Parting with Donald and Meeting Della[]
In "The Golden Spear!" Donald is setting up a hammock and rests while listening to Hawaiian music and reading his book. Suddenly, Webby and Huey surprise him, but the duck reminds them his hammock is a prescription for his molting condition. Because Donald needs to rest, Webby requests they watch his old VHS tape of The Necronomicassette. Donald decides to let the kids watch his horror tape when the grounds shudders violently and hands reach out to Donald, scaring him away.
After an adventure in Goat'hool Donald realizes sleeping on his prescription hammock has had anemic and ineffectual results and dumps it into the garbage. When his door is knocked on, Donald shrieks fearing how his other family members will react to his baldness. Just then, the kids, Scrooge and Storkules are throwing a going-away celebration as thanks to Donald for taking care of them for so long. Therefore, Scrooge has scheduled Donald to be on a month-long Caribbean cruise on the S.S. 40-Winks, which promises neither phones nor adventure but lots of hammocks. Donald is concerned that the kids will get into trouble while he is away, Huey assures the family can keep the triplets out of trouble in his absence. The uncle then has time for a goodbye group hug to the kids.
Later, in "Nothing Can Stop Della Duck!, Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby have already started packing for a new adventure and heading for the door themselves. Scrooge shows the kids an ancient artifact known as the Cartographer's Quill, a glass mystical artifact that has the ability to mark down the spots of the world's greatest undiscovered treasures on any map given.
Scrooge opens the door to reveal a surprising sight: Della Duck outside their home for the first time in ages.
Completely shocked by seeing his niece for the first time in 10 years, Scrooge promptly drops the Cartographer's Quill, shattering it to pieces. Scrooge quickly embraces Della in happiness, and Della brings him up to speed on her adventures on the Moon. Scrooge expresses pride in her survival, complimenting her prosthetic leg by adding how she's still every bit the woman she was ten years ago.
Della then greets her sons (despite initial shock that Donald named them "Huey, Dewey, and Louie" instead of her preferred names "Jet, Turbo, and Rebel") who all have different reactions to her arrival: Dewey immediately embraces her as his mother and bemoans the fact he could've been "Turbo"; Huey questions if she's really their mother by asking her a series of questions, all of which she answers correctly and reveals she also follows the Junior Woodchuck Guidebook rules, confirming her status; Louie has the most emotional reaction, initially refusing to believe the reunion is anything other than a trick, only to finally give in and embrace his mother. Webby watches from the sidelines and cries emotional tears over this long-awaited reunion.
Later Webby greets herself properly to Della while she eating in the dining hall, and is also Webby is one who tells her of Donald's "relaxing remote vacation".
The next day Webby was a part of conversation between Mrs. Beakley, Scrooge, and the kids, who are all concerned about how to handle Della's sudden return. Huey, Dewey, and Webby defend Della's recent actions, but Louie admits he is having trouble adapting to suddenly having a mother after an entire life without one. Scrooge declares that the issue is Della is not actually a mother yet, because she has been gone a long time and they need to give her time to figure out who she is now and how she fits into the family.
Shortly after Webby, the boys and Mrs. Beakley run outside to help Della and Scrooge in fighting against Gilded Man, but Mrs. Beakley is knocked out of commission before she can help. It made Webby furious, and she tell angerly, that golden robot knocked out the wrong old lady before starting her attack. Della then attempts to climb inside the statue again like in her youth but gets stuck due to being much bigger than she was last time.
While the group tries to fight off the statue, Dewey blows one of Della's blowhorn which distracts the monster once again. Realizing the statue has a weakness to loud noises, Louie orders Huey to grab some duct tape from Donald's houseboat, which he uses to tape together three blowhorns at once. The kids then pass it to Della, who stuffs the horns inside the statue and stomps on it, setting off a large enough sound to cause the statue's insides to malfunction and rupture its core. As the statue begins crumbling towards Louie, Della instinctively removes her prosthetic leg from the statue and jumps towards Louie to save him from getting crushed. Luckily the statue's pieces just manage to avoid injuring the two of them. Touched by his mother's bravery and sacrificial attempt to keep him safe while risking her life for him, Louie finally accepts Della as his mother as he tearfully thanks and hugs her. Then, the other boys come in to hug their mother.
When Webby asks Della how she got free, Scrooge states that she coped with change and adapted to unforeseen challenges like any good parent would do while giving back her robotic leg. After reattaching her leg, Della admits to her boys that they are not used to having a mother and that she is not used to being one, but promises to figure it out as they go along in time. The family all embrace each other, excited for new experiences and adventures now that Della is back. Della lastly remarks that she wishes Donald were here for this moment.
Rescuing Lena from The Shadow Realm[]
In "Friendship Hates Magic!" Webby had caught a bus to make her way towards the Duckburg Public Library. As she enters the library, Lena appears out of Webby's shadow in her shadow form, unseen by anyone else including Webby. Webby then makes her way towards the front desk as Lena continues to follow her, intending to ask the librarian on duty about books within the Supernatural reference section. She soon realizes that the librarian is Mrs. Quackfaster, who claims that while she isn't maintaining Scrooge's archives, she works a second job at the library to pay for a retirement Condo in Birbados.
When Webby asks for a book known as Spirits of the Shadow Realm, Quackfaster can't lend her the book because another girl at a nearby table had already checked it out.
When Webby approaches the girl, she believes the book would be too advanced for the girl as the book is written in an ancient language. However, this soon leads Webby to start a brief conversation with the girl in ancient languages, after realizing she had met someone who is also fluent with them. The girl then introduces herself as Violet Sabrewing, but is also surprised to notice she is talking to Webby herself, knowing that she has recently been going many of Scrooge McDuck's legendary adventures.
This leads Violet to believe that Webby has a vast and fascinating perspectives on the supernatural, much to Lena's annoyance. With Violet's suggestion that she and Webby review the book together later that night, Webby is thrilled to be having another sleepover, but Lena continues to grow her own suspicions.
Later that evening, Mrs. Beakley is seen in the dining room serving herself a small meal of tea and English muffins, knowing she has the house to herself as Scrooge and the Boys are at the money bin for Binventory Day, cataloging treasures for the remainder of the evening. Webby then rushes into the room out of excitement for an upcoming sleepover, much to Beakley's joy for seeing Webby move on from all of the other sleepovers she had involving supernatural disasters. With Webby comprehending that one of those disasters lead to losing Lena to the shadow realm, she refuses to allow another horrible incident be put into play, and instead decides to make the sleepover as normal as she can. She then makes her way around the mansion attempting to cover up anything involving the supernatural, but Beakley attempts to calm her by telling her she simply needs to be herself.
Even so, Webby states to Beakley she isn't her and that she needs friends, much to Beakley's surprise while nervously claiming that she did, in fact, have her own friends. As Webby takes off, Launchpad approaches Beakley about having just fixed the gate he broke on the way to the mansion. This gives Beakley the opportunity to make a real friendship with someone else, as she invites Launchpad to join her for dinner. Meanwhile, Webby is seen rushing towards her room and stuffing everything she can find involving supernatural in the attic just above her. As Webby hears the doorbell ring, she calls for Duckworth to answer the door, but immediately realizes her mistake of Duckworth being a ghost. She then rushes down the stairs and jumps through Duckworth to get to the door first. Webby apologizes, much to Duckworth's disdain as he then disappears through the roof.
Webby then attempts to greet Violet in a cool-fashioned manner as she leads her through the mansion, but Lena still continues to have her doubts about Violet's presence. She proceeds to introduce her to her room, with Violet then expressing her interest on mystical creatures known as Tulpas from the Spirits of the Shadow Realm book. She states that they are manifestations of powerful emotions including hatred, jealousy, and greed which live in a dark realm adjacent to their own. She reveals the main reason she has an attraction toward these creatures is that she is attempting to research more into what happened the night the shadows attacked Duckburg.
Desperate to stay away from a conversation involving supernatural, Webby suggests they play games such as Baggle and Ice Breakers instead. But when asked by Violet about what she knows about Magica De Spell, Webby throws off the conversation once more and instead shouts to have a makeover session.
With Violet and Webby gone from the room, Lena begins to investigate a mysterious glowing light coming from Violet's backpack, only to realize the light is from the same amulet she lost when Magica had escaped from Scrooge's dime and taken it. She then searches the mansion to find Webby and attempt to warn her about the amulet. But when she does, she finds her in the bathroom with her face all bruised up, only to realize she and Violet are still playing makeover. Webby then believes Violet has made herself look exactly like the demon Rakshasa, but when Violet comes into question about the fangs, Webby accidentally admits she has proof in the attic about the demon having a crooked fang.
Violet and Webby then make their way up to the attic, and with Webby worrying that the things she sees would scare her, Violet instead claims to be fascinated by many of the artifacts, and suggests they try to contact any ancient shadow spirits using dice. Webby and Violet begin the séance as Violet reads aloud a poem to summon dark shadow spirits. Lena originally believes Violet to have little knowledge of the shadow realm, but takes it back after realizing the poem Violet read gave her the ability to move objects.
Webby and Violet then begin to notice the dice thrown on the floor moving into a particular shape. They originally assume the message the shadow spirit is trying to tell them involves the patterns shown on the dice, but in actuality it was Lena forming a message out of the dice saying "don't trust her." Believing they still require more clarity, Webby and Violet continue the séance, only for Lena to realize that the séance was attracting more Tulpas towards them. She then tries to intervene by covering herself with a nearby cloak and warning Webby to not trust Violet, only for Lena to recognize their inability to hear her speak, and thus leading Webby to believe she was an evil spirit.
Violet begins to attack the floating cloak, and then decides to use the amulet's magic against it, only for Lena to be seen by Webby for a brief moment as she shouted her name. This brings Webby to attack Violet instead after having seen the amulet herself, and demands to know how she acquired it. Violet admits she found it on the beach in the midst of the Shadow War as she was fleeing from any shadows pursuing her. But when the explosion at the money bin happened and the shadows disappeared, Magica's staff flew straight over to where Violet was as it reverted back into an amulet. Violet explains how originally she was never into the concept of magic, but when the shadows attacked her and she discovered the amulet that night, it opened an entirely new world to her of one she was compelled to know further about.
Although Webby begins to feel sympathy for Violet after hearing her words of living a sheltered life, she still warns her to stay away from the amulet after having already lost a friend to the shadow realm. However, Violet instead suggests that they use the amulet to try and bring Lena back from the shadow realm. She believes they could harness the amulet's power to pull her out of it, to which Webby willingly agrees to.
The next séance with the amulet proceeds as Lena continues to call out her pleas to Webby, and how Violet is merely using her. But when Lena notices Tulpas lurking behind the boxes, they then come together to create a form similar to Magica's shadow. Panicking over the séance being a supposed trap by the sight of Magica, Lena grabs both Webby and Violet's hands and drags them into the shadow realm.
Once there, Webby embraces Lena after having finally found her, but their reunion is cut short as the Tulpas begin moving closer in on the three.
Lena then expresses her hatred for Violet, believing her to be a thief and a knockoff of herself, and shouts at her to stay away from Webby as she was Lena's alone.
This, however, leads the Tulpas to kidnapping Webby in the process, as Lena and Violet begin to chase after them. With Lena believing everything to be Violet's fault because of her magic meddling, Violet retaliates by reminding Lena Webby was taken because Tulpas are made of rich desire, and the desire is coming from Lena refusing to be forgotten by Webby. This is only proven further as Lena realizes the Tulpas have now taken her form, and that her jealousy is what's causing them to take Webby away. Knowing that they both had the common goal of keeping Webby safe, they decide to work together and take down the Tulpas.
As Webby is about to be carried out of the mansion and possibly remain lost forever, Lena decides to sing a magical poem with Violet similar to what she and Webby used to sing.
“ | With the hand of my friend's friend, we bring bitter jealousy to an end. With the hand of my friend's friend, we bring bitter jealousy to an end. With the hand of my friend's friend, we bring bitter jealousy to an end. With the hand of my friend's friend, we bring bitter jealousy to an end! |
” |
As they sing, the form of the shadow realm and the Tulpas begin disappearing before them, as they are able to return to the real world. But having taken away the jealousy and bitterness Lena was carrying, Lena herself also begins to dissipate. A downhearted Webby decides to hold Lena's hand one last time with Violet choosing to join in, but Webby's friendship bracelet transforms into a magical swarm of blue misted particles swirling around the three. Once the smoke clears, all three immediately realize that Lena has returned to her physical form, with Webby hugging both her and Violet out of joy.
After the group hug, Launchpad runs into the girls by the entrance asking if they had any more of the smoke bombs he believes they just used. Beakley, meanwhile is seen standing by the stairs in her own Darkwing Duck costume and suggests to Launchpad that they continue with the filming before the boys return home and spoil their fun. Lena, Violet and Webby are then seen giving one another makeovers back at the bathroom, with Webby now realizing that Lena had been with her the entire time since the Shadow War to make sure nothing bad happened to her. With Webby considering the sleepover the best one she's ever had, Violet then proclaims Webby should've stopped her when she had the chance, as now she will use the knowledge she learned to grim vengeance, with Lena seemingly melting right before her. But in the end, it turns out to be a prank set up by Lena and Violet using the makeup, and Webby soon after proceeds to announce them as best friends.
Romancing Fenton and Gandra[]
In "The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee!" Webby and Huey are waiting patiently for Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera outside the Ray's Electronics store, and the red-shirted duck tries to make an excuse when the armored duck hero arrives crashing into an alleyway. Fenton comes out with his bag and Webby realizes that Fenton is indeed Gizmoduck. Fenton tells the kids that his only subject is science for the time being. When he goes inside, the brown-feathered science duck is surprised to have gone viral over the news. Huey knows that Fenton is wearing himself down from saving the day constantly.
While looking for beam splitters, Fenton catches the eyes of a brown-haired female bird. Upon learning of dichroic splitters, the female bird says she, too, is a scientist. She also explains energy physics is a great challenge for newcomers. Fenton says he is a scientist and the girl thinks it is sell-out science, and those who do so are "suits"; The girl scientist says she shatters expectations and works alone. Fenton also says he's working on a dangerous project but cannot figure the equation. The female wants to visit Fenton's lab and the latter says he would pick her up at a later time. Huey and Webby are filming this as a "meet-cute". Fenton also wishes to know the girl's identity, while she uploads her info to his phone. The girl then introduces herself as Gandra Dee before departing.
At Fenton's home, he ponders over what to wear for his meeting with Gandra and Huey suggests formal dress clothes. Fenton wonders if his meeting will turn into a more romantic relationship. Huey believes it will be a date, then M'ma Cabrera barges in. M'ma advises her son to be his best version, then shows a suit once worn by his father then warns if Gandra breaks his heart, she would hunt her down, and dismantle her life.
While riding in Launchpad's limo, Launchpad also believes Fenton's time spending with Gandra would be a date and tells of all the exes he has had himself. Gandra, seeing Fenton wearing his father's suit, jokingly calls him the "bad boy of science". Launchpad drives at top speed while Fenton stumbles on whether or their meeting not being a date.
Later, Fenton and Gandra arrive at Gyro's lab which Huey has redesigned to like an Italian restaurant. At their table, Gandra complains the lab is uncouth with Italian decoration. With Gyro locked away, Webby insists that the pair order some spaghetti. Fenton panics but Huey gives advice from the Junior Woodchuck Guidebook that mood is essential to develop chemistry, while Fenton insists that they should just stick to science work. Gandra receives a call from an attention starved Mark Beaks, who is expecting results. Gyro tries to get out to warn the others, but is shocked unconscious by the brown bird's nanotech hands.
Fenton tries to dismantle the Italian setting, as Huey and Webby insist he and Gandra eat spaghetti then meet in the middle for a kiss, further trying to help the two together, intending to end the night with a date picture. On yet another phone call, a frustrated Gandra insists yhat Beaks stop calling. Using Fenton's Gizmo tech, and using it in tandem with nanites, she created an internal booster for Beaks. But due to the system setup of the Gizmo Tech, her nano serum is nonfunctional unless a "blathering blatherskite" recording with Fenton's voice is heard to activate the tech. Beaks, already growing impatient begins to drink several vials of the nano serum.
Back at the dinner table,Fenton tries to pass off Huey and Webby's actions as the results of a gas leak. Gandra understanding such a situation, tells of a nanobot infestation she accidentally released into her apartment building. She also thought a protonic reversal could easily stop them. Fenton, who has made similar mistakes, empathizes, and the two find themselves surprised at how similar they are. Fenton then invites Gandra to do some science.
Working in the lab, Fenton demonstrates Tasty Spray to make olives taste like glazed doughnuts. Gandra removes her glasses and flashes them; having created Eye Buds to make one's eyes work like wireless cameras. Fenton also presents Universal Solvent which can eat through anything like acid but ineffective against the strongest diamonds. Gandra complains that Scrooge could be gobbling the gems in the world, ironically mentioning a gold magnet- Fenton's next invention- which he choses not to show her. Gandra then removes her safety glove and shocks her date with her nanotech electricity. Revealing that she had implanted nanobots in her body, Gandra can channel electricity and Fenton is shocked at how dangerous that was. Using the flow, Gandra tries to get him to say the passcode, but only getting "blathering".
Having only heard "blathering" and overly impatient, Beaks decides to take matters into his own hands. He sets up his music and begins to storm the outer grounds of the lab, hacking the laser turret defenses while dancing, and using his phone. Beaks successfully breaks into the lab using the air ducts.
To show punk science and how "intense" he can be, Fenton shows a paddle ball, with the attched ball made of a syntetic material called Fentonium. After an initial bounce, he explains, the crystal ball begins to build up speed and power. This greatly interests Gandra, who wishes to see the substances' potential, before Fenton stops her from unleashing it. He explains that the crystal is currently unstable, and the ball would tear the lab apart. Gandra comes to realize her date is neat and they go back to the dining table to have their spaghetti dinner. As Huey sings for the pair, Webby senses something is amiss when she learns Gandra is working with Mark Beaks. Fenton is excited that Gandra really seems to like him, not Gizmoduck and the kids sadly break the news to him. Fenton confronts her, but when she tries to play dumb, suggesting a second date, Fenton, hurt, changes into Gizmoduck. No sooner does he transform, Beaks arrives, having recorded the "blathering blatherskite" cry and activates the nanite serum with stolen gizmotech. Having drunk an overdose of the nanite serum, Beaks' muscle mass begins to greatly enlarge, and soon becomes a monster, calling himself Mega Beaks.
Gizmoduck realizes that Beaks has become an even more dangerous monster than ever and engages him in a duel. Mega Beaks withstands Gizmoduck's mallet, but gets pies bombarded with pies, winding up eating some pie tins. The fight rages, with Mega Beaks striking Gizmoduck's armor until he uses the Tasty Spray, which the former happens to show distaste for. Mega Beaks also throws the Universal Solvent at the ceiling threatening to cave the lab in. Beaks manages to break part of the Gizmoduck helmet but gets flash in his eyes, courtesy of Webby and her camera. Gizmoduck gets to a fair distance and readies a missile. It seems as though victory is at hand when Gandra shocks Fenton and sends the missile flying harmlessly.
Mega Beaks kidnaps Huey and Webby, and the angry Gandra grumbles at his idiocy. Fenton calls her out on her hypocrisy, but Gandra tries to deny it, saying she works alone, simply trying to use Beaks' for his funding. Gandra departs, admitting that Fenton is a good scientist, only to be called a crook by a hurt Fenton. With the Gizmosuit useless, Fenton decides to try his Fentonium to save the kids.
Mega Beaks takes the kids to his Waddle headquarters to garner attention. Just then, Fenton arrives using his Fentonium ball to hit Mega Beaks. The egotistical parrot catches the ball, but then Gandra shocks him with her nanobots. However, Mega Beaks repels Gandra as the nanobots will no longer fully work on his outer body. Fenton suggests trying attacking Mega Beaks from within as his inner body is still frail, using Beaks' ego as a distraction. Fenton distracts Mega Beaks with news of his popularity spreading across Duckburg and the world, and the parrot winds up wrecking the phone, causing him to lose focus. At that moment, Gandra charges the Fentonium ball and Fenton knocks into the insides of Beaks; The shock shorts out the nanotech and changes Beaks back to his weakened self.
Huey and Webby cheer for Fenton's victory even without the Gizmosuit, but then Huey, almost having fallen, cries for help. Fenton panics but sees that Gandra has left element notes on his crystal on the paddle. Back in the lab, Fenton uses his Fentonium to recharge Lil Bulb. Gyro is amused at his assistant's successful experiment but also dismayed at the lab's wreckage.
New Investigation[]
In "What Ever Happened to Donald Duck?!" Webby states that having spent most of their time on the mystery of the Spear of Selene, they were eager to move on to the next big mystery they could find. Webby and Dewey then overhear Huey speaking to himself in the hall, due to his postcard to Donald having been oddly returned to him. This encourages Dewey and Webby to start their next mystery, but as they leave the room, Dewey accidentally slams the door so hard it knocks over Scrooge's miniature money bin.
Dewey and Webby begin to question Huey about the unreceived postcard to Donald, as they eventually lead to the conclusion that he's gone missing. Huey, however, believes it is simply hard to receive mail from a boat and he was spending most of his time relaxing. Even so, Dewey and Webby proceed to search for further clues about Donald's whereabouts. Dewey informs Webby he plans to send both of them to the address marked on the postcard while inside a large package. But as the mail lady comes, Dewey realizes he accidentally forgot to tape the bottom shut, and thus reveals themselves the moment the mail lady lifts the package.
Dewey then begins to question her about Donald's whereabouts, but after the mail lady realizes the mansion was where Donald now lived, she hands them numerous letters originally addressed to him at the pier, unaware that he switched addresses. After noticing the bills are marked with the same address, they decide to investigate the address, believing Donald was on the run from a debt collector. Dewey and Webby approach the building of the address marked on the bills, in the hopes of finding the supposed bill collector Jones trying to find him. Dewey then suggests a distraction for Jones by having Webby dress up in a Junior Woodchuck uniform (which he stole from Huey) pretending to sell cookies, while he sneaks into Jones's office to find any information about Donald.
Dewey then sneaks in through the window, but just as Jones was about to open the door, Webby knocks on the front door to lead him away, which then allows Dewey to discover a large file dedicated just to Donald. As Dewey is looking through Donald's file, Webby regroups with him after having sent Jones to search through his drawers over a phony locket quest. Dewey and Webby then realize the file shows every date and record of all the bad things that ever happened to Donald, only to be approached by Jones himself and thrown into the closet while preparing to make a call.
Later, it is revealed that Jones phoned Scrooge to come and get Dewey and Webby. Scrooge also reveals to them that Jones is actually Donald's anger management counselor, who's sent Donald bills to pay for his time with him. When Dewey then questions Jones on why Donald is still the angriest person they know, Jones explains that Donald's anger comes from a fear that the world is out to get him, and that no one can understand him figuratively and literally Overtime his tendency to lash out became uncontrollable, until his nephews came along and encouraged him to go to Jones in order to be a good parent figure. Jones taught Donald to channel that anger into a protective instinct for his family. He then states that Donald loves his family so much, the thought of anything bad happening to them would infuriate him beyond control.
Scrooge, Dewey and Webby leave the office with Scrooge shouting at Jones about his refusal to pay for Donald's bills. Although Webby admits it wasn't a good idea to go looking for a mystery when there wasn't one, Dewey reminds her that they did find out the mystery of why Donald was mad at the world, because he loves them. Just then, Scrooge receives a voicemail from Donald about his warning, but Scrooge is unable to fully understand what Donald is saying due to the poor reception, while only understanding his claim to be back home in a month.
Misadventures in Magic Dream[]
In "A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill!" Webby, Lena, Violet and the boys have a sleepover at McDuck Manor, which Lena uses as a celebration of her 1-year friend-iversary with Webby, which she has spent all week preparing for.
The group party until the early hours of the morning to the point of exhaustion, but Lena at first refuses to go to sleep.
Privately, it is revealed that she has been unable to sleep due to recurring nightmares involving her Aunt Magica beckoning to her, and her fear of turning into Magica. Webby convinces her that she needs some rest, and the group all go to bed together.
To their surprise, they wake up on a tropical island that does not seem to follow any logic, which they realize is a lucid shared dream-scape (in this case, they're sharing Webby's dream). Violet theorizes it is influenced by Lena's sleep deprivation affecting her magic.
Lena admits to her nightmares, claiming she didn't want to foist her problems on her friends, though she stops short of explaining what her nightmares are about.
The group quickly takes advantage of the dream-scape to have some fun by going to their different dream worlds:
Dewey takes them to his dream of musical high school,
Louie shows them his dream of being a cat,
Huey has a dream about having impossible long limbs (which turns into more of a nightmare), and Violet dreams of being in a quiet library reading; eventually they simply montage (literally) into an adventurous dream-scape. Throughout this, however, Lena finds herself stalked by the specter of Magica de Spell, who repeatedly possesses aspects of her friends' dreams to beckon her.
When it comes to Lena's turn to show a dream, she is transported to a castle-like location, where she learns Magica has in fact been possessing her dreams. Magica claims their connection is inevitable and that her friends will always fail her, and demonstrates by transforming Lena into a doppelganger of her. Lena's friends, thinking she is Magica, immediately attack her and call her a monster, breaking her spirit further.
However, Webby soon realizes who she is when Lena saves her from a falling chandelier and spots the friendship bracelet she made,
and with the help of her friends stops Lena from willingly giving her magic back to Magica and free themselves from the dream-scape.
Upon finding a now insane Magica on the McDuck Manor grounds, the group learns that Magica's possession of Lena's dreams was actually thanks to using a telepathic helmet and not actual magic, proving she is completely powerless. Satisfied that she truly is not like Magica, Lena and the rest of the group return to the Manor while Magica pathetically vows revenge.
The Golden Armory of Cornelius Coot[]
In "The Golden Armory of Cornelius Coot!" at Fort Duckburg, there is a tourist attraction dedicated to Cornelius Coot, where a historian tells Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby of his heroic deeds using his saber and musket fire from all directions to defeat and scare off the Beagle Militia. After founding Duckburg, Coot made a mark on history few could ever achieve. To celebrate the occasion, Della, one of Cornelius's descendants is chosen to sky write the letter C (Scrooge charges by the letter), to commemorate his actions. The tourist attraction only sells traditional eatery and drink such as saltwater jerky and buttermilk.
After Dewey churns some butter, the boys want to take part in Della's skywriting ceremony, but Webby instead suggests they search for a secret room known as the Golden Armory of Cornelius Coot, a place even Della could not find. No sooner does Webby wish to uncover the secret, but the Beagle Boys led by Ma Beagle arrive disguised as 18th century people, eager to obtain the treasure first.
Huey attempts to convince Webby that the golden armory is likely just a myth, but Webby still remains confident in solving a mystery that she claims could make them legends. Meanwhile as Ma Beagle was discussing the plan with her sons, Big Time arrives with the hopes of helping them. However, Ma instead decides to kick Big Time out of the Beagle Boys due to his prior history of failures to the group. Later as Dewey accidentally knocks over Louie's cup of buttermilk onto the statue of Cornelius, they discover a secret entrance hidden behind the metal plate attached to the statue. Unfortunately as the kids moved forward on the path, they are not aware that Big Time notices their discovery, as he decides to follow the group with the hopes of making a name for himself to the other Beagle Boys.
Webby and the triplets continue to search the cave for the treasure, but they accidentally trip into the wall of a moss-like substance and fall further down the cave. Dewey then believes Webby turned off her phone light and is tickling him, only to realize there are large spiders on his eyelids, and the rest of the group (aside from Webby) freak out about spiders crawling all around them. After recovering from the spiders and growing further doubts about the adventure, the kids discover a mine cart to move through the cave faster, much to Dewey's excitement.
Suddenly, Big Time runs by them while also freaking out about the spiders, as he then jumps onto one of the carts and moves into the mines. Realizing that the Beagle Boys are after the treasure again, the kids follow him on the other cart, only to realize the tracks are too steep for either of them to proceed further. Instead, both parties decide to push their carts to the top before the other makes it. In the mines, the kids are able to make it to the end of the track, but Big Time unluckily ends up in a spider-infested tunnel while following his cart's tracks. As they continue to walk on foot, they eventually make their way towards a room with a sign confirming it as the Golden Armory of Cornelius Coot.
Although the group was originally excited to have found it, they soon discover the only materials in the room are stacks and barrels of corn. Huey then confirms from old blueprints in a nearby journal that the minecarts were actually corn carts, and the marks they found along the way were really simple farming tools. This leads the triplets to believe that Cornelius really was just a boring farmer, and his secret treasure was merely a bunch of old corn in the end. But although Webby attempts to convince them there is still more to the legend, she is interrupted when Ma Beagle and the other Beagle Boys capture them.
As the boys admit to them that the treasure was simply corn, Webby still strives to stop them from entering the room with the belief that there was still another hidden truth afoot. Right after the Cloud Slayer crashed in a nearby cave. Della and Launchpad, who were on the plane, realize the kids and the Beagle Boys are currently fighting each other in that same cave. In order to save them, Della snatches a nearby rope and ties up the entire Beagle Boys group. Wondering why her kids are here and where Webby is, Della tells them to stay behind and safe while she goes after Webby.
Della finds Webby in the armory room, trying to find something as she tries to calm her down until she finds out that Webby, having grown envious of all the adventures she went on and conquered by the time she was her age and forced to confess, has been using her old journal in order to find the one treasure she herself could never find when she was Webby's age while involving the boys along so as to prove herself to be like her when the book falls out of her backpack and she questions her actions, namely, Cornelius' treasure known as "The Golden Armory of Cornelius Coot", which in the end, turned out to be just corn; much to her dismay and disappointment.
Noticing how disappointed Webby is as she calls herself an impostor much like Cornelius supposedly was, Della tries to cheer her up by stating how she made it farther than anyone else ever has and she only needs to be herself because she has her own unique and special ways of doing things without having to prove herself to anyone, which then leads Della to realize she should apologize to Launchpad.
However, during their talk, Webby's candle accidentally ignites a wire and sets off a chain of events that leads the room to start filling up with popcorn. Webby and Della then realize Cornelius' true strategy of fending off the Beagle Boys from the legend, which was heating up corn to make it sound like he was firing from all ends like an army, and thus, outwitting the Beagle Boys and making him a hero in his own way.
Then, when Della and Webby hear noises coming from the other room and as the room begins to overflow with popcorn, they decide to flee the armory and in the process, they use a nearby scythe to cut Launchpad and the boys down, having been strung up along with the Beagles minus Big Time (having been kicked out of the gang by Ma earlier) by his spiders; leaving the Beagles behind. As the wave of popcorn begins coming their way, Della, Launchpad, and the kids board the plane while Big Time strings up the other Beagle Boys into a ball to protect them from the impact. When Della can't seem to get the plane to move, she finally allows Launchpad to use it in his own way in order to escape, who then orders his hamster (who is revealed to be super strong) to move the propellers with his hamster wheel.
When Launchpad tells them to relax as they are about to crash, Della actually finds that statement ironically comforting in the end as she and the kids prepare for the inevitable. They finally crash their way out of the cave and fly off, letting the Beagle Boys escape as well with Ma allowing Big Time back into the gang.
Back at Fort Duckburg, while the boys are seen attracting tourists towards the attractions, Della and Webby are happy that they solved the mystery of Cornelius Coot's golden armoury together as they celebrate with Launchpad over a cup of raw buttermilk each. But as they begin to drink it, they finally spit it out at the last minute; given its raw taste as they watch with disgust as Launchpad surprisingly enjoy it despite spiders coming out of it.
Prelude to New War[]
In "The Richest Duck in the World!" Della tries to contact Penumbra and all her friends on the Moon through a video recording while introducing her kids including Webby minus Louie as well. Della is later shocked when she finds out that all the video transmissions she tried sending to her kids back when she was still stuck on the Moon during those 10 years never reached them.
After Dewey accidentally destroys the camera, Dewey has a joy overload when he learns that Della is looking for someone who could help her transmit her message with cameras and stuff, which leads Della to appearing on Dewey's show, "Dewey Dew-Night!".
Huey and Webby join in on the effort, though the show suffers from Dewey's usual showboating and Della's own negative experiences. Throughout the day, Della recounts the tales she made during her time on the Moon while Dewey does his own thing on his show. Desperate to send her message now after Dewey has unintentionally delayed some time with his antics, Dewey allows her to finally transmit her message to Penumbra. When asked about Penumbra and their relationship, however, Dewey notes that evidence is in favour of Penumbra hating her rather than being her friend, making Della realize that maybe she and Penumbra were never really friends in the first place as she leaves the show in sadness and sorrow.
Later, while packing her contact equipment, Dewey comes over to apologize to his mom about his earlier assumptions concerning her friendship with Penumbra, but Della simply brushes it off and reassures him that family is more important than Moon friends. However, the moment Della is about to unplug her contact equipment, she suddenly receives a message from Penumbra at the last minute; much to her joy and happiness. The message, however, turns out to be a warning about Lunaris' upcoming invasion to destroy Earth as Della and Dewey learn that Lunaris is coming for them and their family first, much to their shock.
Alien Invasion[]
Few days later Webby and her family had to face a serious and unknown danger - invasion from the Moon which was a consequence of Della's pastime in this place. Having received Penumbra's invasion warning, Della proceeds to inform her Uncle Scrooge of the news and at the same time, tries to keep him calm him down as numerous spaceships (designed after the Spear of Selene) enter the Earth's atmosphere. On the news, Webby, Della and their family watch in horror as the Moonlanders proceed to attack the city despite Gizmoduck's best attempts to ensure peace with the visitors by offering them pie.
Later, Webby, Della and their family drive in Scrooge's jeep straight to the impenetrable Money Bin in order to initiate the contingencies Scrooge had prepared for, which Gyro regretfully informs have each been taken down by the invaders as the first step of the invasion. Through a video transmission, they learn that Lunaris seeks to target Scrooge and his family as he lands on McDuck Manor and that Louie was responsible for destroying Duckburg's satellite defense system due to the whole Bombie incident the previous week.
Having no other choice, Scrooge, Della, and Dr. Gearloose send out an army of Lil Bulbs to gather all the allies they need to save the world. However, realizing that Lunaris is coming for their family, both Della and Scrooge agree to take the kids somewhere safe by giving them the false impression that they are going to search the entire globe for more reinforcements while counting on Webby's skills, Dewey's gusto, Huey's know-how, and Louie's strategy as Scrooge and his allies set out to take down Lunaris and his army.
Flying in the Cloudslayer, their first destination is Egypt, at the Temple of Toth-Ra, only to find that the Moonlanders have already arrived there as a battle between them and the living mummies led by Amunet and Faris Djinn occurs. Knowing she can't keep her family safe and that the Moonlanders will invade the pyramid despite Amunet and Djinn's best efforts,
Della proceeds to continue further without landing; much to the kids' confusion. When Amunet mentions some sort of god of the Moon through a Lil Bulb acting as a phone, Della and the kids get the idea of "recruiting" the Olympian gods including Della's old friend, Selene for help at Ithiquack. However, once they reach Ithaquack, not only are they denied sanctuary at the temple by Zeus; much against Selene and Storkules' better judgement, but the Moonlanders also arrive in time to attack. So, Della and the kids retreat. Flying in the air while avoiding fire from upcoming spaceships, Della uses her prosthetic leg to keep the plane steady on course while she tries to find an abandoned location on the map for them to hide in, which confuses the kids even more. Then, Della regains her leg and control of the plane after it took a slight hit. However, when the kids come to realize how their mission to recruit their allies back in Egypt failed and how Della was more determined about getting everyone in the temple at Ithiquack rather than recruiting reinforcements, the kids conclude that they are, in fact, running away.
This leads Della to finally confess her real plan to them and about Lunaris targeting them, stating that they never would've agreed had she told them the truth in the first place. But when questioned by her kids about leaving the rest of their friends and family behind, Della further states that they are her family whom she can't risk losing again until they receive another hit from a spaceship and crash-land on a deserted island.
On the island, Della and the kids come out as Della reassures them that they are safe until they come face-to-face with a highly unexpected event in their path:
Donald Duck, scruffy and accompanied by a ventriloquist dummy melon shaped like Mickey Mouse (much like how Della once was after 10 years on the Moon), emerging from the undergrowth; much to everyone's shock and surprise.
Della and Donald have a moment of silence as they both approach each other until they suddenly lose their tempers due to Donald's long absence and Della not getting his message. After restraining Dewey from attacking his uncle for not having named him Turbo like he was supposed to, Della and Donald finally confess how much they missed each other despite their anger and quickly reconcile and embrace each other at last until Della gets freaked out by Donald's strange new attitude involving a melon.
As Della and the kids watch Donald talking to the melon and performing some ventriloquism and learn about his situation, the family gather around for a group hug while concealing the fact that they were unaware of Donald's going missing. When Donald and the kids aim to get back to Duckburg to help Scrooge, Della, still determined about keeping her family safe, tries in vain to dissuade them as she states that Scrooge knows exactly what he's doing. Later, Della has finally made a home out of the crashed plane, only to find Donald and the kids trying to formulate a plan on how to escape instead. So, Della tries in vain to convince her family to stay on the island while temporarily losing her mind until she suddenly realizes how their current situation reminds her of how she was stranded on the Moon, which makes her kick Donald's melon into the ocean in a rage; much to his dismay.
Later, Louie approaches his mom as she sticks the photo of her kids back when she had to imagine what they looked like before meeting them. Having lost her fighting spirit, Della tells Louie that all she could think about was being their mom and all the fun and adventures they would have back when she was stuck on the Moon, but was unprepared for the recent events. After having a conversation with Louie, Della's spirit is finally rekindled when she hears Louie singing her lullaby, revealing that Donald used to sing it to them every night when they were little; much to her surprise. This motivates Della enough to face the unknown together as a family. Determined to help Scrooge and wondering how to get back, the family suddenly receives an unexpected visit from their cousins: Gladstone on his Gladyear Blimp and Fethry riding Mitzy.
Then, after catching up with each other as Donald gets a decent haircut and make-over, the family heads back home while riding on Mitzy.
Webby, Della and their family arrive just in time to save Scrooge from the evil clutches of Lunaris as Mitzy proceeds to destroy the Planetary Engine, which forces Lunaris to retreat back into space in his flagship. Reunited with Scrooge and the rest of their remaining friends and family, Della and the kids signal to Scrooge not to mention anything to Donald about his "vacation" so as not to upset the latter.
However, their victory is short-lived when they learn that Lunaris, now more than determined to destroy the Earth without any thought of his own people being annihilated as well, is coming straight for them.
So, Della boards a nearby space ship with Donald, Scrooge, and the kids, while saying with a smile and a wink that she promised them a flight into space.
During the battle, Scrooge acting as the commander, Della and Donald fight over the controls of the ship while the kids take out Lunaris' laser cannons. Through brief avoidance of Lunaris' laser turrets, Della ultimately takes full control over the ship and flies it straight up, as she then dives down towards the top surface of Lunaris' ship to disable his turrets.
She then makes a U-turn and heads beneath the ship while destroying further turrets, as they then approach the back of the ship to destroy Lunaris' thruster engine. But despite having destroyed most of his defenses, Lunaris' final line of defenses proves too much for the family and all hope seems lost for them as they are about to be destroyed. Knowing they were now trapped, Lunaris increases his thruster's power in order to overheat their ship and inevitably cause it to be destroyed. However, just as Lunaris is about to proclaim victory, another ship on his radar appears on alert and is seen coming his way. Luckily, Penumbra arrives just in time to destroy the engine, leaving Lunaris stranded on his flagship serving as a second Moon, and rejoin the family; much to Della's joy and surprise. Then Lunaris attempts to activate his ship's backup engines, only to realize Glomgold's sharks have eaten away at the ship's circuitry. Selene then appears in front of him and informs him, much to his dismay, that not only has Storkules gotten Earth back into orbit with his strength, but the mothership he is aboard has now become the Earth's second moon.
Back at McDuck Manor, with peace between the Earthers and the Moonlanders having finally been achieved, Della and her family are happily reunited with the others who were in former custody as they celebrate their victory, confident that they can face any future difficulties as a family.
She with Webby, the boys and Donald then joins their family and friends in a group shot, unaware they are being watched by the criminal organization F.O.W.L. and Bradford Buzzard personaly.
He, after being tired of Scrooge and his family threatening his plans through their adventures, now intend to give the family their last adventure ever.
Search for Finch's treasures and other dealings[]
Locating the Finch's journal[]
In "Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!", a few months after Moonvaision Webby and her family attended the the Calisota Junior Woodchuck Graduation.
When Webby asks where is Donald's uniform, Della sadly reveals that he was kicked out due to his anger and bad attitude about nature before the latter accidentally gets himself tangled by the camera's filmstrip. Then, learning from Launchpad that both Huey and Violet are going to have a challenge to see who wins to earn the Senior Woodchuck badge this year, Webby and her family cheer for them.
After the ceremony is concluded, Huey begins to have self-doubt about his skills, especially when he realizes he's not allowed to use his Junior Woodchuck Guidebook during the challenge.
Nevertheless, Webby, Dewey, and Louie encourage Huey to do his best, as Huey and Violet leave for the challenge with Lena cheering on Violet in the meantime.
Later Scrooge discovered a map that was originally thought to be a part of the portrait of Isabella Finch. Scrooge states she was a legend when he was a kid, and he read about many of her adventures in one of the only books he had, The Collected Adventures of Isabella Finch. Scrooge believes Isabella hid the map on the painting so future adventurers could follow in her steps.
At first, Webby and others appear upset when they see Scrooge snatch the treasure map off of Finch's portrait until he reveals that Finch actually left the map for future adventurers to find, thus, another treasure-hunting adventure is about to begin soon; much to their joy and excitement.
Later, Webby and her family are present at the start of Huey and Violet's challenge and cheer for him when it begins. Then, the real adventure begins for the rest of the family. During their journey, they are being constantly pursued by an unusual bird whose song continuously annoys Scrooge. Unlike Scrooge, Webby and the others watch with joy and amusement as Dewey imitates the Bird's song and dance. Then, Della runs after Donald when being tormented by a mosquito.
Later on, Webby and her family take shelter under a log to avoid lightning rain falling down on them but Della gets constantly zapped by droplets, which eventually causes her to lose her patience and accidentally knock Donald out until they are visited by the Bird again and decide to follow it through the hollow log.
After making it out to safety and barely avoiding a bear attack, the group follow the Bird into a cave using a torch Della made due to the Bird having snatched the map off of Scrooge's hands; much to the latter's anger and annoyance. When the group can't seem to decide which way to go and follow the Bird as Scrooge complains and after a few speeches, Webby and her family watch Scrooge imitate the Bird's call to know which way to go.
Eventually, the group follow the Bird straight to the finish line of the challenge. After cheering for Violet's victory, Webby and her family are visited once again by the Bird; much to Scrooge's constant annoyance. Recognizing its call and song, Webby and the others learn from Huey about the Bird's true species and the story behind it as it leads them to the true treasure: Finch's journal.
As Webby and her family watch Donald continue running away from the mosquito again, they learn about Finch's Missing Mysteries in the journal and become more excited than ever, thus, getting ready for their next big adventure, unaware they are being watched by F.O.W.L. yet again through the mosquito revealed to be in fact, a mechanical spy bug. Its camera is seen being shown to agents of F.O.W.L. including Gandra Dee, Black Heron, Phantom Blot, and the Board of Directors. Through the camera, Black Heron points out their discovery to a journal holding access to the most mysterious relics lost to time, with Bradford adding that the race is on.
Quack Pack[]
In "Quack Pack!" during the preparation for a family photo Webby opens the door for Knox Quackington who says he travels the world uncovering people's deepest secrets. Webby grows suspicions and believes him to be a spy as she then directs him to a nearby room, where she beats him up and ties him to a chair.
Webby begins interrogating the photographer as she claims to know exactly who he is through his actions during the day. She then accuses the photographer of being a spy, much to his relief but also confusion as Webby threatens to bring her grandmother over to further interrogate. As Webby is about to leave the room, she asks Launchpad to keep an eye on him along with his band members, who decide to play more silently than usual because of Webby's claim that the photographer's an agent, assuming she means someone to publicize the band.
Later in the kitchen, Donald shaves the top of his head to get rid of the hairstyle Dewey fashioned for him, as Webby shows up trying to act non-inconspicuous while grabbing a meat tenderizer.
As Launchpad and his band finish up their song with the photographer, Scrooge, Louie, Huey, and Della suddenly crash through the roof and fall in front of them. Webby, Dewey, and Beakley then enter the room to see what all the commotion is about, as Donald and Goofy follow right behind them, with Donald noticing the hole now in the study and believing the photo's now ruined.
Della then shouts to the rest of the group about their TV show predicament (to which Launchpad commends the agent for giving them a TV show after the audition), as Huey begins to think about why they're in this situation in the first place considering they're supposed to be adventuring. When Louie suggests they pick up their tracks from before this morning, Donald instead claims Louie simply learned a lesson about honesty after he accidentally broke Della's favorite vase. Dewey then strokes his chin while trying to remember what happened, when suddenly everything went fuzzy, leading Huey to realize they need a flashback sequence. He then suggests everyone tilt their heads and strokes their chins to try and remember what happened.
The flashback shows Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Donald, Della, Beakley, Webby, and Launchpad inside of a cave on top of a large statue, as they try to fend off a hoard of scorpions approaching them. They were searching for the a magic lamp that was informed to them by Isabella Finch's lost journal, as they continued to stop the scorpions from climbing up to reach them. Meanwhile, Donald, panicking behind everyone's backs, wished that he and his family can simply have normal family problems. Suddenly, a lamp began floating up in front of him as a genie then shot out and granted him his wish, ending the flashback.
All eyes were then pointed on Donald after realizing he was the one responsible for their imprisoned state. When Louie questions Donald about his reasoning, Donald reveals he constantly wishes for his family to be normal, and that it was a sheer coincidence a magic lamp was beside him when saying it this time. Webby then recognizes the genie they saw from the flashback, as she then accuses the photographer originally thought to be a spy as the real genie. Knowing he's been caught, the photographer then transforms back into his original clothing and introduces himself as Gene.
While Huey also recognizes him as the man from the Pep commercial, Scrooge demands from Gene to release them from the world they're imprisoned in. Even so, Gene refuses, claiming he's merely carrying out the wish Donald requested for a normal family. However, Gene's view of a "normal family" is proven to be inaccurate because he's had no recent learnings of the present world, due to having been stuck inside the lamp ever since the year 1990. Nevertheless, Della and Scrooge attempt to forcefully get Gene to change everything back to the way it was, but Gene states he is unable to do so unless his new master Donald wishes for it, as Donald still has two wishes left.
Donald, however, believes the world isn't as bad as they make it out to be considering the problems they face aren't catastrophically dangerous, and at the end of the day everything is resolved without anyone getting hurt, captured, or lost. Regardless, Huey believes that's simply not who they are because they love the spirit of adventure, traveling the world, and defying danger. Angered, Donald storms out of the room with Goofy following him and proceeds to continue with setting up the family photo he's wanted to do from the start.
Beakley then questions Gene about how long they'll be stuck in the wish for if Donald still refuses to comply, to which Gene's ultimate answer is forever (considering that Launchpad would have 3 dates the following week, with Louie losing his pet snake, estimating at least 3 seasons, plus spin-offs, and the chance of the show being rebooted in the future). Huey then decides the best course of action is to find the lamp Donald used and wish themselves out, but once he says that, the crowd in front of them begins to boo and slowly approaches the family. The family is freaked out over the sight of unrecognizable creatures, and they proceed to flee from their pursuit. Unfortunately, they then trap themselves once again after falling into a room similar to the entrance room inside the mansion.
Scrooge continues to demand answers, with Gene reminding him that Donald made the wish so if they continue to fight it, the wish will only further attempt to preserve itself. Huey then orders everyone to split up around the room and find the lamp, but while doing so, Launchpad runs into illusions of his past girlfriends who then become hostile themselves. Luckily, Launchpad, Webby, Della, and Beakley managed to defeat them, while Dewey and Louie are meanwhile being chased by Louie's pet snakes that were mentioned earlier. Scrooge then saves Huey from an upcoming mob of creatures, after the miniature ottoman empire brothers from earlier were carrying him towards them.
The creatures continue to swarm around them, but luckily Huey uses a nearby Pep drink to wash them away using a wave of the drink previously seen in the Pep commercial. But just when the family thinks they got rid of them all, more creatures proceed to swarm into the room. Meanwhile back in the study room, Donald persistently tries to clean up the room as best as he can for the photo, believing the rest of the family to be having an enjoyable time, and likely won't be joining him for the photo. Goofy thinks they may just be a little mad at him, but Donald doesn't understand why it's so hard for him and his family to be like other families.
Goofy, however, believes the best photos are ones that aren't staged, as he then shows Donald a handful of photos of him and his son Max in an odd turn of events at an amusement park. All of the photos were taken at unexpecting times, but the moral is they reminded them of memories they love and cherish between one another. Donald then wonders if it really is wrong for wanting to be normal, but Goofy believes every family has their own definition of being normal.
Meanwhile, the fighting in the entrance room continues between the Duck family and the creatures. Donald soon shows up to reconcile with everyone alongside Goofy, only for him to freak out as well over the creatures. Even so, after a brief pause, Donald joins in on the fight, and everyone fights together to stop the creatures from pinning them to the ground. As the fighting continues, Donald eventually spots the lamp on the chandelier above them, as Goofy is then jabbed with sharp nails from behind, instinctively shooting him into the air and grabbing onto the chandelier. This causes the lamp to slide off, as Donald manages to catch it and immediately wishes to undo his previous wish.
Gene accepts his command, as he then returns Donald and the rest of the family back to the same cave where Donald wished for his first wish. The scorpions then back off, as the family realizes they're back to normal when Dewey tried to say "something funny Dewey," and there was no background laughs this time.
Donald is also returned to his natural voice, as Gene shoots out of the lamp once more out of fun exhilaration for the "episode" that just happened. Soon after, the family also discovers Goofy in a corner of the cave, as they realize Goofy was actually real the entire time. Gene then appears in front of Donald, reminding him he still has one more wish he can grant him.
Later back at Donald's houseboat, Huey, Dewey, and Louie watch Donald place a frame on his wall, as Louie expresses his frustration with Donald for "wasting" a wish on having a framed photo for himself when he could've wish for something much bigger. Nevertheless, Huey claims he likes it with Donald himself believing it to be perfect. The scene ends as it zooms on the framed photo of the entire family working together against the creatures created by the wish.
At Funzo with Scrooge[]
In "Double-O-Duck in You Only Crash Twice!" Webby visited Funzo's Fun Zone with Scrooge, Dewey and Launchpad. The last two plead to Scrooge to let them play the VR spy game one last time, but Scrooge shows his discontent by refusing to stay somewhere he despises, especially since he only came to pick them up. Luckily for Dewey and Launchpad, Webby decides to keep Scrooge distracted by escorting Scrooge to check out the arcade while Dewey and Launchpad get back in line for one more round.
Meanwhile beneath Funso's Fun Zone and the sea, Bradford Buzzard contacts F.O.W.L. agents Steelbeak and Black Heron, positioned within a secret laboratory, to notify them about Scrooge's current presence at Funso's Fun Zone. This surprises both Heron and Steelbeak, as they knew F.O.W.L. chose the location of the laboratory to be under Funso's in the first place because they assumed Scrooge would never step foot in there. While Steelbeak reminisces about about an old lair named the Sate-lighthouse, Bradford orders both him and Heron to escort Scrooge and his family away from the premises without causing any suspicion. But this intention completely failed thanks both to Heron's and Steelbeak's stupidity and to Dewey's and Launchpad's actions.
Back at Funso's, Webby continues to show Scrooge how to play some of the arcade games, but many of them leave him uninterested. As a last minute effort, Webby introduces Scrooge to a nearby skee ball machine involving a gold rush theme. This instinctively motivates Scrooge, believing every ball thrown in each point hole would give him more and more pieces of gold, and encouraging him to begin placing coins in the slot and throwing ball after ball.
Scrooge is still continuing his run on skee ball, and although Webby offers to show him some trick shots, Scrooge prefers she doesn't distract him while on his roll. He is now celebrating all of his ticket winnings, but although Webby informs him to now exchange his tickets for prizes, Scrooge's greed causes him to hoard all the tickets for himself to the point where he swims in it similar to how he would at his money bin.
Scrooge then asks Webby why he needs to spend the tickets now when he can save them up to eventually be rich with tickets, but Webby claims he's unable to considering the tickets expire by tomorrow. Although the clerk is about to correct her by saying the tickets don't actually expire, Webby then gives the clerk a threatening face while implying to keep his mouth shut.
Just as Dewey celebrates the victory over the "game" with Launchpad, they're both approached by Webby and Scrooge once more, as Dewey asks them about Scrooge's poor state. Scrooge shows them a moustache comb that cost him three million tickets, as he then falls to his knees and cries when asked by Dewey about how much he spent to get the tickets.
Webby then states how it's best they don't bring Scrooge to Funso's anymore, as Scrooge agrees while trying to make use of his new comb and Dewey trying to hold in his laughter. Suddenly, Launchpad's smart persona calls out to him from within his mind to get him to tell the family about F.O.W.L.'s plotting intentions against Scrooge.
Unfortunately Launchpad instead tells Scrooge that he likes the color purple, as the group leaves with Launchpad's smart persona still trying to call out to him, but eventually giving up. Meanwhile back at the laboratory, Heron awakens alongside Steelbeak with not only her smartness regained, but also noticing Bradford now standing in front of them. Bradford then belittles them for having to clean up their mess including bringing Dewey and Launchpad back to Funso's to make it seem like nothing happened. He then restricts Heron from using any more rays and keeping Steelbeak silent by remote controlling his beak, as he reminds them that they're a part of F.O.W.L. and they should be smarter than causing the events they let happen. He then claims they're not trying to destroy the world, but instead steal it from right under Scrooge's nose.
The Lost Harp of Mervana[]
In "The Lost Harp of Mervana! during the family search of The Lost Harp of Mervana, next Finch's Missing Mystery on a submarine Webby expresses her excitement towards Mervana's citizens, who were made up of half-man and half-sea creatures. Later she begins to question Louie on why he always assumes the worst, with Louie reminding her of all the times they've been used as sacrifices, but Mrs. Beakley soon joins in and compliments Webby's positive attitude. Suddenly, Webby notices mermaids from one of the submarine's windows, as the family huddles together around the window mesmerized at the two mermaids floating in front of them.
Soon after arrival at Mervana Louie begins to look around, as he notices a strange looking cave while explaining to Webby his suspicions on how everything seems too perfect, no one claims to have heard of the harp, and the cave they're in may be a sacrificial platform for Honestus to be fed. Even so, Beakley arrives and tries to lower his doubts by believing the mermaids to be harmless, having had experience with their kind during her previous years as a spy.
Webby continues to attempt to convince Louie that everything's fine, but when Louie shows her the mysterious cave with danger signs sprayed all over the entrance, he remains convinced the mermaids are hiding something as he makes his way into the cave with Webby following him. As Louie and Webby make their way deeper into the cave, they suddenly hear a mysterious voice calling to them.
When they carry on to investigate the noise and mysterious pile of bones lying around, they are soon shocked to discover a large sea creature trying to capture them while leaping back and forth into the water. Eventually, the creature begins to chase them on land, soon leaving Louie and Webby at a dead end.
Just as the sea creature's about to attack them, Beakley lowers a rope from above and hooks it onto Webby and Louie, hoisting them up to safety.
As the sea creature backs away, Webby asks Beakley why she's also in the cave, with Beakley claiming to have been merely meditating as she asks Webby to take the lead. With Webby out of hearing range, Beakley admits to Louie she also believes something strange is happening, but she doesn't want Webby to know out of fear of breaking her spirit if an entire society she knows and loves turn out to be liars. Louie continues to feel pessimistic about Beakley's beliefs, but nevertheless they try to remain calm once Webby returns to them. As they continue down on the path, they soon enter a large tower with vast amounts of steps to the top, much to Louie's distress.
As Beakley, Webby, and Louie finally make it to the top of the tower, they soon hear the mysterious voice again coming from an object covered in a blanket across from them in the dome-shaped room. They soon uncover the blanket and discover the lost harp of Mervana, which also reveals to be a mystical lady that will only ever speak the truth, and can tell when others are lying or speaking honestly. Webby then requests from the harp to assure Louie that nothing sinister is happening, but she refuses since she would be lying if doing so.
She then tells a tale in a singing format that long ago when King Honestus was crowned, the harp suggested he looks after his work on the land rather than constantly remain distracted by the sea, but he instead chose to ignore her advice out of laziness. Eventually the towers and monuments on the land began to crumble and break apart due to lack of any care for sustaining its structure. The harp continued to plea to Honestus by admitting the truth that his choice to do nothing was only making life on the land worse, but Honestus still refused to listen.
Eventually, the citizens of Mervana looked to Honestus for his leadership in helping improve their land, but Honestus instead chose to abandon his duties and flee back into the sea. This caused almost all the towers upon the surface to sink into the sea, and the longer Honestus remained under the sea, the more monstrous his body and mind began to transform. This leads Louie, Webby and Beakley to realize the sea creature they saw earlier was actually King Honestus all along, while coming to the conclusion that even the harp is unsure whether or not the Mervanan's intend to use them as sacrifices.
However, Webby remains in disbelief of what the harp is telling them, and although Beakley tries to lie by saying her story is misjudged, the harp claims her to be fibbing non-stop. Eventually Beakley grows agitated while shouting at the harp about her true feelings that you should never trust anyone including the mermaids, and that even she tends to lie to Webby. his leaves Webby saddened, but Beakley in her defense claims she was merely trying to protect her from the harsh truth that not everyone in the world has good intentions. Even so, Louie suggests they bring the harp back downstairs to show the other Mervanan's the truth.
As Beakley begins to carry the harp, she orders Webby and Louie to run ahead and warn the family about the truth of Honestus. However, Webby's newly depressed state causes not only her inability to move or walk, but also to slow Louie down as he attempts to drag her along. By the time they reach the bottom of the tower, they are once again approached by the sea creature and flee back towards the entrance of the cave.
Louie then shouts to everyone in the main cave that a sea creature is coming, but is too late as the monster then leaps into the air and begins attacking the mermaids. Scrooge demands the harp's location from the sea creature itself, only to then witness Beakley carrying it in front of the cave entrance. Desperate to slow the monster down, Dewey attempts to convince Donald he should reveal his anger side, but Donald is still stuck in a trance of finding his own peace and truth. However, once Dewey tells Donald that his famous chili is just okay, Donald immediately grows furious and manages to headbutt the sea creature back into the ocean.
Meanwhile as Webby, Vero, and Aletheia sulk over their feelings of betrayal, Louie tries to convince them that even though Honestus' actions were a lie, they and the other mermaids built a society based on truth that may not be consistently good, but it's not just a place and it will always remain in their hearts.
Although Webby initially doesn't believe him, Louie reminds her that someone once told him how it's better to see the good in people rather than assume the worst. Meanwhile as the sea creature closes in on the harp and the rest of the family, the mermaids assist in the battle and manage to fend off the monster long enough for the family to flee back into the cave.
However, the harp gives away their location when asked by the sea creature, leading to another chase through the caves, but luckily they manage to get back to the tower before it arrives. However, the sea creature then begins hitting the walls of Mervana, weakening the structure further and causing numerous debris to fall into the sea. Once the family make their way to the top of the tower, they then dive into the sea in order to get to the beach for safety. While the tower continues to fall apart and the family swims towards the beach with the help of the mermaids, the sea creature soon crashes through the tower wall and catches up to them. Just as it's jaws open up preparing to strike, a large debris from the top of the tower falls straight onto the sea creature, dragging it deep beneath the sea.
Once the harp and the family make it ashore, the Mervanan's also manage to transform their fins into legs for the land, but unsurprisingly have trouble remaining stable at first as most of them collapse on the ground. Out of nowhere, the bruised sea creature returns once again, but Della manages to arrive just in time to kick the monster away from everyone. Suddenly with the sea creature now on land for long enough, he transforms back into his true self as Honestus. The harp then belittles Honestus for continuously trying to stay away from his problems, and the only way to fix the city of Mervana now is with true hard work.
Nevertheless, Honestus begins whining about his duties as a king being too difficult to succeed in such a task, but Aletheia and Vero assure him that all the Mervanan's will assist in the duties to help rebuild the city. Honestus agrees and the mermaids begin repairing the newly broken tower, while the family decides to leave the harp behind to help show the Mervanan's the hard truths so they can succeed in future endeavors. Webby and Louie then remind King Honestus that although their world isn't perfect, it shouldn't be considered all bad either and instead be seen as a good balance between them.
Believing their work to be done in Mervana, the family make their way back into the submarine to go home, as Scrooge remarks the harp to be back where it belongs for the sake of the mermaids and their attitude towards hard work. Webby then adds that the harp wouldn't be of any use to them anyways since they're always honest with each other, as Beakley then assures her that from here on out she has no more secrets to be kept from her. Unbeknownst to everyone as the submarine lid closes, the harp can be heard from a far distance calling out Beakley's lie.
Fighting against Phantom Blot[]
In "The Phantom and the Sorceress!" Scrooge McDuck enters the living room to read his newspaper when he is interrupted by the arrival of the kids escaping their video game along with a monster. With Scrooge's quick thinking, he zaps the monster and rescues the kids. Lena had been trying to hone her magic with her amulet, but only succeeding in making another mess.
Della enters to tell Scrooge that there is a floating goat in his closet, meaning that the land of Goatool is under attack and needs his help. Huey, Dewey, and Louie excitedly follow Scrooge on a new adventure, but Lena does not want to cause any more trouble, forcing Webby and Violet to stay behind with her.
In the middle of the night, the girls hear a strange noise out front and head down to answer the door to find a nervous and fear stricken Gladstone Gander bumbling his way through the door. He tells the girls that he suddenly got hit with a string of bad luck as if someone stole it from him and needs to look for Scrooge to help him fix it.
The group hear another noise and head upstairs to see a dark hooded figure with a large gauntlet draining magic from Scrooge's closet.
The figure attempts to drain Lena's magic, but Webby tosses an ax at the glove damaging it and the figure flees.
Violet identifies the figure as the Phantom Blot who despises magic and wants to destroy it. With no other option, they decide to seek out Magica De Spell.
Webby, Lena, Violet and Gladstone end up in a swamp and find Magica's hideout. Still wanting the amulet back from Lena, they qualm her when they mention the Phantom Blot.
Magica, tells them that years ago, she once ruled over a village and forced its citizens to bring her gifts. When she grew bored with them, she destroyed the village. One villager however, survived and came back to hunt her. No matter how many times she faced him, this person, the Phantom Blot, came back stronger and stronger.
Lena reluctantly agrees to train with Magica so that she can face the Phantom Blot again.
During her training, Lena discovers that her magic is blue, as opposed to purple like before. Magica tells her that the color of their magic depends on their personality and source. Magica's is purple because of her evil nature and Lena's is blue due to her friendship with Webby and Violet.
Magica has Violet take hold of the amulet and blast Lena with it so that she can learn to use her magic properly. She explains that her magic is internal and the amulet only focuses her energy. The Phantom Blot arrives and the girls work together to try and defeat him. During the confrontation, Gladstone manages to get the amulet, but blasts himself and turns into Donald Duck, causing him to flee in terror.
The Phantom Blot gets the amulet and tries to drain its power, causing Lena to weaken (she is made of magic).
Realizing that she can summon more magic from her friendship bracelet, Lena becomes powerful and dons a new appearance to take on Phantom Blot.
She destroys the gauntlet and Gladstone gets his luck back while snakes begin to attack the Phantom Blot (Webby had previously "communicated" with some snakes for assistance).
Magica reclaims the amulet and gets her powers back, but Lena blasts her back, causing her to lose her staff.
Lena uses her new abilities to fly herself, Webby and Violet out of the swamp and back to McDuck Manor. As they return, Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, and Louie come back from their adventure with numerous treasures and artifacts as well as armor. They ask the girls what happened while they were away, and they respond "Eh, not much."
Befriending with Penumbra[]
In "They Put a Moonlander on the Earth!" Webby is searching for the boys in McDuck Manor, but becomes distracted by Penumbra who is living in their backyard attempting to fix her ship so that she can return to the moon. Webby extends an invitation to hang out with her, but Penumbra, while calling Webby "Small Della" due to Webby's similarity of her best friend and former rival, turns her down, wanting to return home as soon as possible. Then Webby eventually finds Dewey and Louie watching Ottoman Empire when a commercial for Flintheart Glomgold's latest venture comes on; the "Flint Ferris Glom Wheel". Webby reluctantly decides to go while Dewey also wants to come due to an incident involving another child named Timmy Jenkins getting media attention from Glomgold's previous failed ride.
Della visits Penumbra who is hard at work on her ship, and she determines that she is afraid of trying new things. Penumbra reveals that she did have coffee with Launchpad, but that did not go over well.
Webby and Dewey arrive asking for Penumbra to join them at the pier where she once again turns them down so that she can discuss her departure with the rest of her people. However, while discussing this with Gibbous and Zenith, she learns that all the other aliens do not want to return home. They further admit that none of them think that Penumbra is capable of having fun.
Spurned by this, Penumbra accepts Webby's invitation. Gibbous is revealed to have been hired by Glomgold to be his assistant as he is unaware of his treachery, or the fact that he constantly mentions them as the threat that he defeated. Glomgold's new Ferris wheel is part of a grander scheme and wants nothing to go wrong.
Launchpad drives Penumbra, Dewey and Webby to the pier, but is nervous trying to talk to Penumbra as he knows that the date went bad and wants to make it up to her. During the transit, Launchpad falls out the limo and Penumbra tries to stop it, only for Webby to do so by stomping on the brakes, while Penumbra lands on a pile of fish.
Webby and Dewey show Penumbra around on the pier and attempt to get her to enjoy herself. However, Penumbra fails to enjoy any of the activities. While all this is going on, Launchpad tries to speak to her, but constantly chickens out.
Glomgold's ferris wheel turns out to not be up to code, while discussing it with Gibbous, he sarcastically asks him to call the safety inspector, which he does.
Eventually, Penumbra breaks down and declares that earth is the worst and that she has no place being there. Webby admits that she was afraid when she first left McDuck Manor, but that she made a new version of herself and that she can too if she gives it a chance.
She offers her a burger and Penumbra ends up liking it; gorging several down.
In the evening, Webby offers Penumbra an ice cream sundae and she eats it hurriedly, causing her to get brain freeze. The safety inspector arrives and immediately declares the ferris wheel unsafe. Upon seeing Penumbra acting wild over the brain freeze, Glomgold shifts the blame to her and everyone begins to chase her, causing her to hate earth again. They run to the Ferris wheel, but Webby and Dewey end up getting stuck in one of the cars and end up at the top. Glomgold reveals that his Ferris wheel is actually a cannon, set to be aimed at McDuck Manor, though the safety inspector states that it is unlikely to be effective and will collapse on itself.
With Launchpad and Gibbous' help, Penumbra manages to get to the top of the ferris wheel, declaring that she is having fun now, and rescues the children before the wheel collapses.
Glomgold attempts to fire the cannonball from the wheel, but it lands on his foot instead, and collapses from the weight of the papers from the safety inspector which are the fines for both safety violations and damages to the Pier, along with a letter from Jenkins. Launchpad finally talks to Penumbra who tells him that while she is not interested in dating him, she does consider him a formidable ally and would not mind fighting alongside him. Dewey once again fails to get media recognition with Jenkins getting the spotlight despite not getting on the ride.
Penumbra, now wearing a t-shirt and lacking her helmet, recounts the story to Gibbous, Zenith and Della with Webby and Dewey beside her.
She adds that she will stay on earth as long as she wants, or at least as long as it needs saving.
Launchpad arrives to pick them up, with Penumbra learning that he is "surprisingly adapt at dismantling aircraft", as she decided to take apart her ship. She happily brings Della and the kids along as they head back to McDuck Manor.
Problematic Search of The Fountain of the Foreverglades[]
In "The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades!" Scrooge, Webby and the boys during spring break were at a hotel, the Conquistador Inn, which happens to be located near The Fountain of the Foreverglades, another Finch's Missing Mystery. Annoying Dewey, Huey has a whole day planned out for their vacation stay.
According to Dewey, Huey always has charge, because he's the older brother, leaving him jealous. Scrooge and Webby later run into Goldie O'Gilt, who happens to be at the hotel, too.
She claims that she is after the fountain as she snatches Isabella Finch's book from Scrooge and disappears into the jungle, while Scrooge and Webby follow her.
Goldie reveals that she stole some water from the hotel, to which she and Scrooge fight over. Because of this, they fall into a river. After being submerged in the water and coming back out, they've turned into teenagers restoring their youth. As they continue to follow along with Webby, they flirt and agree to use their youth as a fresh start in their lives with one another and seek to use the fountain to remain young.
While walking, Webby gets into several mishaps, such as body aches and being attacked by mosquitos which, ironically, lead her to feeling old. When they arrive at the fountain, they find an elderly John D. Rockerduck strapped to his henchman, Jeeves, the former revealing he spent millions on experimental freezing technology, which was somewhat successful. They fight over the water, realize it's gone, and conclude that it must be back at the hotel.
Scrooge, Goldie, Rockerduck, and Jeeves arrive at the hotel to battle Leon. During the fight, Rockerduck drinks some of the water and restores his youth, however, is knocked unconscious by Scrooge. At the same time, Goldie sneaks into the manager room to steal some of the water, but when she sees Louie in peril, she returns back to Scrooge. She then defeats a furious Jeeves by forcing some water into his mouth, which turns him into a baby as Rockerduck carries him and leaves.
Soon after, Leon drags Scrooge into the pool, strangling him and causing the later to slowly lose his youth. Goldie then rescues Scrooge as they swim to the surface, now with both of their youth lost. They watch as Leon's youth is drained out, wrinkles, and dies in the pool.
The boys roll out of the room and the floatie pops. They then serve the youth water to the elderly Spring-breakers, which restores their youth as they run back to the pool. Dewey then realizes that being an older brother can be a handful and apologizes to Huey, then he has one drop of the youth water, restoring him to his normal age. Scrooge surprised at how Goldie sacrificed her youth for him, she then remarks how her youth wouldn't matter without him. She returns the journal just before grabbing and kissing him. She then yells "Spring break!" as everyone cheers.
Preparing to fight against F.O.W.L.[]
In "Escape from the ImpossiBin!" after the discovery at St. Canard that F.O.W.L. is back, that it was run by Bradford and they are out to get Scrooge, the Duck Family decides to take extra precautions to take on the evil organization. Mrs. Beakley informs the children that F.O.W.L. was thought to have been destroyed decades previously by S.H.U.S.H. Several possible F.O.W.L. agents are discussed, but none are identified as actual operatives.
Mrs. Beakley assigns Webby to train Huey and Dewey in preparing themselves against a possible attack while she and Donald work on adding maximum defense to the mansion. Huey and Dewey, both wildly unprepared and unable to defend themselves, begin to panic when Webby begins to take the training seriously. Webby continues to humiliate the two of them with her ability to create decoys and alter her voice.
Huey slowly begins to lose his sanity while Dewey simply prepares for the worst as Webby waits to fully attack them. Huey finally convinces himself that there will be no attack and that conquering their fear is the lesson. However, he is immediately proven wrong when Webby attacks them for real. She ropes up Dewey and injures Huey which causes her to halt her attack. Beakley instructs Webby to finish, but she refuses, instead choosing to face Beakley, much to her excitement. However, the fight quickly becomes severe and Webby, Huey and Dewey flee to the roof of the mansion with Beakley in pursuit.
On the roof, Donald sees his nephews in danger. Angered, Donald follows and tries to convince Beakley to cease her attack, because this is gone too far, but she tells them that she must do everything she can to prepare Webby for F.O.W.L. as she wants to keep her safe.
Beakley nearly tumbles off the roof, but Donald, Webby, Huey and Dewey save her.
Webby tells her that she can take care of herself and that with her and their friends by their side, they can face anything.
Beakley apologizes before she gets a phone message about something and they head to the money bin to investigate. The rest of the Ducks arrive and tell Scrooge to answer his phone, as he has numerous messages. Goldie tells Scrooge that the Fountain of the Foreverglades has been uprooted and taken before she could steal it herself, Vero of the Mervanans says that the Eggheads have stolen the Harp of Mervana, Darkwing Duck was beaten by Steelbeak who has taken the Solego Circuit plans, and Gene the Genie calls to tell them that he is being kidnapped by the Phantom Blot.
The attack at the bin was simply a distraction. Immediately after awareness of this Scrooge decides not to play in defence but to direct attacking against F.O.W.L. and continuing for serch of the remaining Missing Mysteries. The Ducks, feeling empowered by their recent adventure, know that they will do everything they can to beat F.O.W.L.
Fight for The Sword of Swanstantine[]
In "The Split Sword of Swanstantine!" Scrooge briefs the kids on their latest mission: scouring the Istanbird marketplace for the Sword of Swanstantine, the latest of the Missing Mysteries to be sought by both the Duck family and F.O.W.L. Scrooge, the nephews, and Webby are joined by Lena and Violet, who were caught up in Scrooge's mad scramble to fly to Istanbird and are still in their pajamas.
Scrooge spots what he believes to be Black Heron, only to anger an innocent bystander. The real Heron soon appears and engages Scrooge, who orders the kids to split up and locate the missing pieces of the sword: blade, handle, and crossguard.
Webby and Dewey spot the handle in the grip of a statue of Swanstantine the Great, only to also spot Gandra Dee closing in on it. She temporarily blinds the pair with a flash bomb, but Dewey presses on despite Webby's reluctance. Working together, the two are able to climb up to the statue despite their blindness, and turn the tables on Gandra when she attempts to blind them with another bomb. Suffering the effects of her own device, Gandra falls to a safe landing while Webby and Dewey claim the first piece of the sword.
Around the same time the crossguard was taken by Louie and Violet during the fight against John D. Rockerduck, and the blade was taken by Huey and Lena during the fight against Steelbeak. Right after Scrooge overcomes Heron by putting her in a big basket and orders to kids came him with obtained sword pieces. But other F.O.W.L. agents also arrived, simultaneously freeing Heron. Then she demanded from Scrooge sword pieces, which he did with a malicious grin. Heron put the Sword together,
but her gloating was short-lived when Sword flew to Scrooge, because he and his kids were able to channel their inner strengths.
After that F.O.W.L. agents were forced to retreat and Scrooge with his kids celebrated the victory.
But the Sword wasn't the main goal of F.O.W.L. agents - later Black Heron called to Bradford and said they got what they came here for - the feathers of Webby, out of which May and June later will be created.
Trying to become God[]
In "New Gods on the Block!" after Scrooge's, Huey's, Dewey's, Louie's and Webby's failed attempt to retrive the helmet of Henghis Kahn, Della comes and tells the kids that Scrooge will easily get over it, which he does.
However, he declares that he will gather a new team to retrieve the helmet. Hearing this causes the kids to feel bad and believe that Scrooge does not think much of them. At that moment, Selene and Storkules arrive with a powerless Zeus.
Selene reveals that they have taken Zeus' wreath crown from him because he has been abusing his powers and are looking for a new holder.
While Selene wants to give it to Della, she suggests letting the kids try it so that they can feel important, and she reluctantly concedes.
Selene sets up auditions for the power of the Gods for the kids while Zeus tries in vain to retain his title. He makes a quick call to his brother Hades to release the Titan so that he can defeat it and regain his godly powers. However, Hades refuses mostly because it is ill-advised, but also because he finds Zeus' predicament amusing.
Louie is the first to audition and the wreath grants him Midas golden touch abilities. He goes to Duckburg Park to try them out and quickly causes destruction when he accidentally turns everyone and everything into gold. Selene brings him back and turns everything back to normal. Huey is up next and is granted supreme intelligence and goes downtown to try it out. However, his abilities end up upsetting people around him due to his bluntness, causing his brain to get bigger every time he tells the future and is brought back to the house. Webby is given the wreath and tries to use her powers to make everyone at the Duckburg Pier happy, but in her haste and forcefulness, she comes off as destructive and scares everyone.
Dewey comes in to audition with a dance, completely forgetting that he was auditioning for God powers, and immediately fails.
The kids all become hopelessly depressed.
Zeus encounters a mopey Storkules and hears of what occurred with him Donald and Daisy. He manipulates his son into releasing the Titan by punching a giant hole in the ground. The Titan and rises and immediately goes for Donald. Daisy, witnessing the event while driving away, turns around. Just as Scrooge is about to leave, he and the rest of the Duck Family rush out to see the commotion. The Titan devours Donald, angering Daisy who yells that it killed her "boyfriend", making Donald happy who is still inside alive. The Titan quickly devours Selene, Storkules and Zeus while Della and Scrooge argue with one another. Della informs Scrooge that the kids feel bad because he does not thank them or tell them how great they are.
Scrooge finally tells the kids that they will never be Gods, but that they are the best team to him and that they can solve anything regardless of having powers or not. As Scrooge and Della get eaten, Daisy confronts the Titan while the kids take the wreath and share it; using their powers to defeat the Titan and releasing their family and friends.
Donald and Daisy share a kiss as Storkules ineptly declares that the three of them will make a great team. Scrooge once again apologizes for not being up front with the kids.
Zeus pathetically regains his wreath, tosses a weak thunderbolt at the Titan and kicks it back into the crack. As he claims that he defeated the Titan, he trips and falls into it as well. As everyone walks away nonchalantly, Hades can be heard laughing at Zeus' new predicament, much to Zeus' dismay.
Return to Castle McDuck[]
In "The Fight for Castle McDuck!" Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby return to Castle McDuck after it unexpectedly shows up four years earlier than it was supposed to. Scrooge, of course, has a terrible reunion with his father, Fergus, but his mother, Downy, is always welcoming.
Webby is excited that she gets to experience Clan McDuck up close once again and is further excited to learn that Matilda, Scrooge's younger sister, is also present. Webby immediately gets excited over meeting Scrooge's youngest sister, but is quick to regain composure. Matilda is trying to break into the egg business by purchasing an emu. She mockingly turns down Scrooge's attempt to help invest in it, leading to a brief sibling squabble, something that is foreign to Webby as Dewey has to explain it to her.
Meanwhile, Huey convinces Louie to help him search for the Blessed Bagpipes, a McDuck heirloom that possesses magical properties. While Huey wants to try exploring for it, Louie gets Downy to direct them to a room full of old bagpipes for them to dig through. Phantom Blot is revealed to be the reason behind Castle McDuck returning; having used a special device strapped to the castle. He is accompanied by an Egghead named Pepper who is excited and optimistic about joining Phantom Blot in stealing the bagpipes for F.O.W.L., something that annoys him.
Webby is frightened at the prospect of Scrooge and Matilda arguing with one another, especially when they fight over being inducted into the Hall of McDuck, a room full of giant statues of their ancestors, and tries to rectify it by showing a family album to Scrooge. He responds well to it until he learns that Matilda stole his pet hairball and painted it, resulting in Fergus and Downy coming in and getting involved in the argument, much to Webby's horror. As the family sit down to eat, they continue to bicker with one another and Webby recruits Dewey to help her.
Huey and Louie continue their search for the bagpipes as Phantom Blot and Pepper use their notes to follow the runes in search of it. Webby has Dewey fake an injury in the statue room so that the McDucks can come together. Webby tries to guilt them into apologizing. Scrooge grabs Dewey in his hands, feeling remorseful, apologizes. Then after dropping Dewey down, Scrooge furiously berates them for the "death" of Dewey. They continue to argue further. When Scrooge claims that Dewey was his favorite, Dewey proudly declares it when Huey and Louie arrive. Dewey whispers to them that he is Scrooge's favorite. Louie, upset that Dewey's going to have all what he has, insults Huey for bringing him to his "dumb" quest.
This word makes Huey furious, that they start to argue as well, culminating in Scrooge in ragingly renouncing his McDuck name. While all of this is going on, Phantom Blot and Pepper sneak around and find the bagpipes. Pepper accidentally brings to life the statues of Dirty Dingus, Murdoch, Agnes and Danny McDuck who all proceed to fight with one another.
As everyone continues to fight over the bagpipes and with each other, Webby laments the fact that she caused the fighting with the castle crumbling around them. Phantom Blot insults Pepper's incompetence, causing her to reveal that the only reason she signed on with him is because no one wanted to work with him. Phantom Blot is surprisingly hurt by this and gains a newfound appreciation for her.
Scrooge and Matilda overhear Webby's lament and come to their senses as they realize their dreadful and idiotic mistake and how they were a bad influenced, and together they save Webby from a falling pillar and reconciled with each other and Webby. They get the emu and one by one they start rallying everyone together to reclaim the bagpipes and fight Phantom Blot and Pepper. They succeed with the villains fleeing.
With the statues destroyed, Scrooge and Matilda apologize to Webby for putting everyone in danger and promise that they love one another regardless. The Ducks all get together to clean up the mess and rebuild the statues.
The Last Adventure and Learning Her Past[]
A few months after the discovery that F.O.W.L. is back, at Funso's Fun Zone, the Duck family and various friends and associates are in the midst of celebrating Webby's birthday. As the partiers gather for cake, they are observed by F.O.W.L., now joined by Don Karnage, who quickly realize that something is amiss. Sure enough, B.O.Y.D., Lena and Gosalyn Waddlemeyer take out F.O.W.L.'s cameras, and the group spring into action. Scrooge, Donald, Della, the nephews, Webby, Beakley, Darkwing Duck, Launchpad, and Gizmoduck make their way into the ballpit, which conceals the entrance to F.O.W.L. headquarters.
Huey explains that Launchpad has been talking in his sleep, and has determined that the pilot somehow knows the complete layout of the secret base.
Based on Huey's plan, Scrooge and the kids go to find the "Missing Mysteries of Isabella Finch" while Donald, Della, Launchpad, Gizmoduck, and Darkwing set out to capture F.O.W.L. However, the two teams soon determine that the base is virtually empty of personnel, with the Missing Mysteries nowhere to be found.
Startlingly, they come across two young Duck girls in a pair of tubes. Upon returning with them to McDuck Manor, they are able to verify that the pair, who introduce themselves as May and June, are in fact clones of Webby.
Beakley forbids the kids to interact with the clones, but Webby is naturally curious about the clones. Violet supported her intention, but Lena suddenly said that they should listen to adults, because she is some kind of expert on the clones made by Scrooge's enemies.
Lena admitted that she did not want something bad to happen with Webby and adds that she already have sisters - her and Violet.
Webby seemingly agreed with her, but in fact her curiosity was so big that she lets her clones-"sisters" out of the room where Beakley locks them for safekeeping and discovered that they don't know themselves why they were created by F.O.W.L. and Bradford and then were left behind.
So they wanted to know more about Webby and her family in order to figure it out. Huey, meanwhile, struggles with the failure of the raid against F.O.W.L. that he planned, even snapping at Beakley, who refuses to answer him or Scrooge regarding what she knows about F.O.W.L.
Around the same time Webby shows May and June her room, and the family board, but the two are quick to contradict her statements about her "found family", and question her about her real relatives.
Webby admits that she knows next to nothing, only for Lena and Violet to walk in just as June is tampering with the board. Lena snaps, and June runs off in apparent tears, making Webby angry at her friend; after going to look for her clone "sister", Webby runs into Beakley.
When questioned, Beakley claims that Webby's parents were an artist and a librarian, and that she only left behind her life as a spy after they passed so that she could raise Webby. Dewey and Louie, meanwhile, are caught up in the series finale of Ottoman Empire, while Della has a heart-to-heart with Donald about his imminent trip. After confessing her feelings about not wanting him to leave, the two siblings share a hug, and then Della decides to go shopping with Donald in preparation for the trip. June, sneaking onto Donald's Houseboat, then seizes the Sword of Swanstantine left there by Della, and is spotted by Huey. When he tries to inform his brothers and Webby, Webby doesn't believe him and is hurt, but soon finds confirmation of his words as she finds May stealing the Blessed Bagpipe of Clan McDuck.
Scrooge tries to speak to Beakley only to find her preparing to leave to face F.O.W.L. alone. He tries to talk her out of it, but she knocks him out before departing.
May and June admit that they were tasked with obtaining the last two Missing Mysteries, and that Bradford will only answer their questions once they complete their assigned mission.
Webby refuses to go along with them, and May takes the two artifacts while tasking June with subduing Webby. The clone gains the upper hand using the potion Webby took from Black Heron, and seemingly subdues Webby.
Huey comes to apologize to Webby, only to spot the three heading towards a plane Don Karnage has landed outside the manor grounds. He soon follows them and boards the plane unnoticed, while Webby is revealed to have swapped places with June in her own bid to find answers.
The disguised Webby arrives at the Library of Alexandria with May to Bradford and Heron, waiting for them, holding the Sword of Swanstantine, Blessed Bagpipe of Clan McDuck and "Webby" all tied up brought by "June". But Bradford wanted Webby to come willingly and not as a hostage to retrieve the last missing mystery of Isabella Finch.
Shortly after Webby-as-June discovers that Huey has stowed away with them, Bradford also sees that Huey Duck sneaked on the plane, beeing "caught by June" and told to the vulture that Junior Woodchucks never stops in their quest to know the truth. Bradford concludes that Huey can be useful and orders to May and "June" to bring the boy in his office.
Still masquerading as June, Webby leads her "prisoner" into the F.O.W.L.-controlled library, where May is tasked with bringing Huey to Bradford's office.
Later Webby drags June to a prison cell, running into Steelbeak, Pepper, the Phantom Blot, and Rockerduck along the way.
From Pepper, she learns the location of the F.O.W.L. archive.
Having deposited June in a cell, the disguised Webby enters the F.O.W.L. archive room and begins looking through the records. She discovers that May and June were created using a feather taken from her in Istanbird, the Stone of What Was and water from the Fountain of the Foreverglades, and then discovers a folder labeled "April".
Inside that said folder shows a video of Beakley breaking into a F.O.W.L. lab years earlier, but Webby is interrupted by Black Heron before she can learn more.
The disguised Webby is then tasked with interrogating already captured Beakley, with the Lost Harp of Mervana acting as a lie detector. Beakley reveals that she found Webby as an infant in F.O.W.L.'s old headquarters years ago, and took her in and brought her to McDuck Manor so she could grow up safe and happy. Unfortunately, Beakley's confession makes her realize the depth of her "grandmother's" deception.
Young duck girl fell into despair after that because Webby's grandma lied to her about her family. Shortly after Bradford appears before Webby and with mocking irony confirmed Beakley's confession.
He also tells to Webby that he is the only person who knows why she and her sisters were created and he will tell her that if she helps him. Webby reluctantly agrees to help Bradford, her creator, as she was intended to calling her April.
After that Bradford leads Webby to a mysterious walkway overlooking the expansive structure. Her presence causes the Papyrus of Binding to emerge from a mysterious box, but it becomes blank before she can see what's written on it.
Bradford then seizes the artifact, revealing that obtaining it and helping to him to defeate Scrooge was the whole purpose of Webby's creation in the first place to the greatest horror of Webby herself.
Later, after being caught by May and June, the boys and Huey's cell neighbors - Gyro, Ludwig Von Drake, who is still alive, and Gandra Dee, who is betrayed F.O.W.L. by now, are then tied up in a room with Webby. Dewey, initially not seeing Webby, threaten them that Webby is still somewhere here and soon get them. But after he had seen her being captured, he when threaten that Scrooge is now fighting agianst supposedly weak Bradford and that he will rescued them in no time. But his hopes were quickly shattered when he and others saw through a video call how Bradford, who is now armed by the Sword of Swanstantine, easily defeted Scrooge by throwing him through the library's roof. Shortly after Scrooge sees Beakley, Donald, and Della captive and learns that the boys and Webby have also been captured.
Bradford threatened Scrooge, that his family would be thrown into the Solego Votex, which eliminates everything that gets into it from existence, and offers him a deal: Scrooge can return home with his family, but only if he signs a contract written on the Papyrus of Binding to never adventure again. When Scrooge points out that getting rid of adventure and chaos would mean disposing of his own personnel,
Bradford callously throws the rest of the Board of Directors and Black Heron into the Solego Vortex, to which May and June reacted with horror.
Huey, viewing the conversation through a video call, accuses Bradford of lying, as only Scrooge's heir can find the papyrus.
When Webby admits that she found it, Ludwig reveals that as May and June were cloned from her, she was cloned... from Scrooge.
Having learned that their only reason for being was to help Bradford get the last artifact, May and June are hurt and frustrated, but Webby was able to persuaded them to help free her and the others to save the family, which they are now a part of.
Scrooge, needing a strategey, attempts to delay his signing of the contract, but Bradford threatens to throw Donald into the vortex so Scrooge reluctantly agreed to sign it and to give up. Donald tries to dissuade Scrooge from it convincing that he can beat Bradford, but Scrooge replies that it's not worth of his nephew's death and signs the contract. Now after Scrooge's constriction by magical chains, Bradford declares that he won: "The Great Scrooge McDuck is now just poor old man". Immediately after that, much to Scrooge's, Della's and Beakley's shock and horror, Bradford finaly gives in his villainous nature and prepares to throw Donald in vortex anyway with words: "Normaly, I wouldn't indulge in petty villainy, but since this is a special occasion...".
But suddenly much to their relief and Bradford's anger the vortex deactivated as Scrooge's rescued allies in the form of Huey, Dewey, Louie, Webby, May, June, Gyro, Gandra and Ludwig arrive. Furious, Bradford goes after Scrooge while screaming "NO! No more adventures!" but is stopped by Webby, who tells the Buzzard to "Get away from my dad!" much to Scrooge's shock.
As the heroes try to save Scrooge, the Sword of Swanstantine amplifies Bradford's inner evil into an increasingly monstrous form.
As Bradford saw it, he started to blame the Ducks for his transformation into a base villain, still denying his own villainous nature, which is now more than obvious.
He attempts to blast the still defenseless Scrooge, but Donald puts up a barrier and is joined in holding it by Della, Webby, Dewey, Beakley, and the reformed May and June.
As they back Bradford's power Huey and Louie analyze Bradford's contract, and discover a loophole: it says Scrooge can have his family if he gives up adventure; however, as the McDucks always say, "family is the greatest adventure of all". Bradford said it was the stupidious thing he had ever heard and expressed great doubts that this could work as a loophole. But contrary to his expectations the contract disintegrates, losing its validity, and Bradford in horror and despair trying to catch its remains loses the sword and is left powerless. He screams in despair that he will not lose to Scrooge, but Scrooge himself replies, that Bradford lost not to him but to his family - all of them.
After that Bradford tried to escape only to be caught by Magica, Glomgold, and the Beagles waiting for him. Ma Beagle expressed her disappointed displeasure not believing that Bradford was Scrooge's greatest villian. Glomgold adds that Bradford not even wearing a kilt. Bradford desperately tried to beg for mercy by saing that he is not a villain. Magica ironically confirms that he is definitely not a villain and then turns him into an ordinary Buzzard, and Scrooge's adversaries then depart rather than face his family, both genetic and found.
After that Scrooge and his entire family began to celebrate the victory over F.O.W.L. and during that Scrooge questions Webby about her use of word "dad", which she repeats, with the nephews confirming her words. More than pleased, Scrooge pulls her into a hug calling her "Webby darling".
As Beakley fears Webby will reject her she leaves but is quickly reasused she will still have a place in their family.
Shortly after Scrooge, Webby, Beakley, Della, Donald and the boys reunited with warm hug.
As the whole group head back home aboard the Sunchaser, May and June are now welcomed to the group, with Lena and Violet giving them friendship bracelets and Donald calling Daisy to see if she'd be okay with a couple more passengers on their trip.
Scrooge, proving as overprotective a father figure as his nephew, is calmed by the assurances of his great-nephews and newfound daughter. Launchpad, thrilled by the group's success, leaves the controls to grab the Ducks in a group hug, with Della thankfully taking over steering before they can crash. Relieved not to have made an even bigger mess, Launchpad accidentally hits the button to open the cargo door, sending the entire group flying out the back of the plane. Of course, the heroes soon turn it into an unexpected free fall into a skydive through the end credits, only proper for a family of adventurers.
